i've said it once and i'll say it again: the worst part of final fantasy iv is the the part right after they defeat the giant of babil and cecil makes rosa and rydia get off of the lunar whale because "he needs to protect them" (implying they cannot protect themselves) (they've been functioning as healers for the last 10 hours of gameplay and cecil can't learn white magic past cura. he can't heal for shit!) (implying the final team against zeromus is going to be five men.) and then rosa and rydia sneak on the lunar whale and they come along anyway.

you will never convince me that makes sense. that after years of knowing rosa, that out of the blue cecil no longer respects rosa as a knight, and rydia as a summoner. NONSENSE. random, misogynstic nonsense.

My Annoying, Homophobic & Misogynistic Classmate (i hope this doesn't become a series)

So, there's this guy in my science class who sits next to me. My science teacher changes our spots every month so I'm gonna be stuck with this guy for the rest of the month.

But, how is he annoying, homophobic & misogynistic, you ask? Well, today in class we were learning about the pros & cons of asexual and sexual reproduction, when someone in my class asked about surrogates.

My science teacher explained very well, talking about in vitro fertilization, and explaining how else it worked, how the egg is fertilized in a lab and whatever. Then, the Annoying Classmate asks why people actually use surrogation. My science teacher then explains that the most common reason is if the mother isn't able to carry the child, or give birth, or is sterile. And would you guess what the Annoying Classmate said to me?

He said, word for word: "If I was a girl and that happened to me I would just give up."

Like, okay??? Did I ask you?? Did you have to tell me???

Also, during the lesson, he turned around to some guy behind him, stuck out his hand, and said:

"Give me a handshake if you're homophobic."

I wasn't able to see what happened, because I was trying to take notes, but then after a few seconds, Annoying Classmate says:

"Glad we have something in common."

I can't believe I have to sit next to him for the entire month.

Hope this doesn't become a series, but I'll update you if he does anything else annoying or controversial, if ya'll wish.

the thing abt the people defending that rape game is that they are genuinely misogynistic and are peddling both rape culture and blatant misogyny but they're dressing it up to sound like it's a matter of censorship when it genuinely isn't. you people are just so ROTTED by porn that you think that the abuse, intimidation and subjugation of women is "normal"; it's no secret that the porn industry (ie pornhub, brazzers, etc) peddles this shit so much that you think that rape is normal.

and fandom has contributed to that by, again, normalising it and making it seem as if it isn't outright inherently harmful to glorify, sexualise, and make porn of people's worst trauma; you sit in an echo chamber where rape porn is normal for long enough, and you begin to take on that belief yourself - the same way that if you spend a lot of time around people who enjoy rugby or football, you begin to enjoy the sport yourself.

a world where people like Nigel Farage (who is an actual fascist) outright work with white men who are known abusers of women but then claim that they care abt women & girls just to push more hatred upon immigrants and people of colour and Muslims.

a world where the porn industry can make thousands of videos where women don't outright consent, where corrective rape of lesbians is abundant, where where incest is treated as a NORMAL FUCKING THING as opposed to sexual abuse as the result of grooming.

do you genuinely think that games like RDR, Fallout, GTA, etc - all of which satirise these things and genuinely make you feel bad abt committing violent/bigoted actions - are ANYWHERE near the fucking Rape Simulator game?

the people who fucking defend games like No Mercy claim that they care MORE abt "real people", but the matter of the fact is that they DON'T. bc if they DID, then they'd be listening to the DOZENS (if not hundreds!) of women across social media who have VERY CLEARLY stated why and how games like No Mercy are DANGEROUS. are TRIGGERING. are VILE and sickening, esp in this day and age where women are subjugated to that kinda bullshit, be it rape threats or rape porn itself, 24 fucking 7 thanks to social media.

When people think I'm a man they treat me better than when people think I'm a woman.

It brings me back to that one time I was on this school show, acting as an old, male historical figure. I welcomed the incoming kids from other schools and taught them this one little song. We all had a good time. But some of them (mainly the adults) kept asking me: are you a boy? Or are you a girl??

Like, the hell should they care?

I had short hair, kinda deep voice, just a teen, but my voice was high enough and my face feminine enough that it made them doubt.

And does that even matter?

Yes, it does. Because when I tell people I'm technically male, they bite their tongues and don't say nasty shit.

And while being nonbinary myself (and I can't care less about what other people think of my gender), I can't help thinking:

What horrible world for my sister to grow up.

I wish we can all make it a better place for women, one day.

If you claim racism, misogyny, misandrism, transphobia, and homophobia no longer exist, than you are part of the problem. These groups are still extremely oppressed and discriminated against, and if you attempt to brush aside their experiences by stating that this isn’t going on, than you are not helping at all. This sort of oppression exists nearly everywhere, and saying it doesn’t is just plain ignorant. Please respect people’s experiences, and educate yourself on what’s really happening in your world at the moment, because I guarantee, after reading a few news articles, you will find yourself with a lot more knowledge than you started out with.

as a brown person, somewhere along the way, we stopped bringing up differences between white and coloured women to highlight white privilege and instead just began to use 'white' as an excuse to single out and attack women for their harmless, personal practices. First we excuse such comments towards white women without recognizing their misogynist quality and then we move to colored women.

now, i know you need to know how to use this. it's very simple.

woman: *expresses interest in a male, a certain type of food, or activity*

you: are straight girls okay???

alternatively-

woman:* partakes in an activity or a tradition that poses a threat to no one, and harms nobody's feelings*

It's hard to study contemporary American cryptids, because they don't have unique names. Instead of fanciful names like "Jersey Devil" or "Sasquatch," most new cryptids don't have distinct names, people just use common words like "woman" or "criminal," even when they're referring to imaginary, non-human beings with supernatural powers.

I hate the "both sides are bad" narrative about jayviks vs Mel stans people use because only one side has written multiple fanfiction of a black woman being experimented on by their favorite white gay man. The way this isn't the first time jayviks put Mel in their fics just to write weird ass scenes like this

especially when it comes to women having facial hair there are a surprising amount of "feminists" who are just offended by the proposition that some women don't see their facial hair as tragic. Their feelings do not matter because every woman with facial hair should just wish it didn't exist and "automatically" separate themselves from whatever insults they use. You literally do not have a feminist argument to stand on with this. It is still body shaming and it is still bad.

remember kids the answer to the question "why do trans people always target WOMEN & WOMENS things?" is "because its what cis people care about"

if you want to demonize a group, make them Scary (oft masculinized) Predators who are Coming For Innocent Women (objects to be protected). the "trans issue" crops up where cis people MAKE it an issue.

"men's healthcare" is an exclusionary term for healthcare needed by a lot of people. "father" should not be our only term for people who can impregnate others. but its so much easier to rally the troops to protect the weak, innocent, defenseless property, so thats where the money is.

oh also: this applies to stuff like "why are there no BI GAYS?" which is based in the same logic. there ARE and have always been bisexual gay men, and there continue to be. the only reason you have only heard about bi lesbians is because gay men's spaces just are not as defensive about Invaders To The Identity, even if that prejudice still exists on some level sometimes. this is such an annoying thing to hear because its said like some intelligent statement and its just biased information

litcherally at some point you've got to realize that assuming trans men don't know anything about misogyny is transphobic. a lot of transandrophobia from other queer people involves denying transmascs our transness by treating us like we are basically cis men, ignoring our unique experiences with things like misogyny & treating us with this aura of "since you're a MAN you are ignorant to WOMEN'S ISSUES 🙄 there's this thing called MISOGYNY that you should know about" & I know y'all would not treat a cis woman like this

btw the term "women's health" to discuss uterine care/menstruation isnt just transphobic, it also keeps up this aggravating idea that the uterus & menstruation are obscene and impolite and need to be kept hidden under flowery vague terms as to not offend any cis men. like trans people demanding the end of gendered language around this stuff aren't just helping trans people, its also just good to normalize calling tampons and pads "menstrual supplies" because thats what they fucking are!!! we should say the words uterus vagina menstruation and we should do it in public and in stores instead of talking about ~women's needs~ and ~feminine care~. trans liberation is fundamental to women's liberation and anti-patriarchal action in general. listening to trans men & people isn't bad for women its good for literally everyone

like if you're on team Let People Enjoy Wizard Game hey. did you know. that in my city RIGHT NOW JKR is sole funder and key board member of an unregulated private agab-policed rape crisis shelter set up specifically to Own The Transes

and which now sits on several gendered violence prevention boards alongside representatives from the (publicly funded and accountable) existing Rape Crisis Centre, against the staff of which her friends and followers have been involved in a years-long harassment campaign purely and explicitly because they run trans-inclusive support services and bc their CEO is a trans woman of colour.

(my friend works there and the pure volume of transphobic harassment has caused several long standing members of staff to quit. which I'm really fucking angry about bc I would not be here today if the Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre hadn't been there to help me)

and that on those boards they're known for supporting increased police harassment and approaches that disproportionately criminalise trans people, unhoused people and sex workers and provably don't positively impact the issue of gendered violence.

what I'm saying is that yes JKR funds anti-trans groups but she is also pretty directly involved in materials worsening conditions for vulnerable people at a local and personal level too!!!! she's running an unregulated crisis shelter out of spite and using that to legitimise her political lobbying!!!!!! fuck you!

We need to bring back the term “benevolent sexism” into widespread use for real. It’s a major mechanism in how bioessentialist Girlboss Radfems can be turned into bioessentialist conservative Tradwives.
