Sorry OP for butting in but: if you cannot go to the protest in person due to mobility/parental/safety reasons, one role you could play is home base. A home base is a person or multiple people in one space, ideally near to the police station where those who get arrested will get taken, with multiple phones for contacting people, or being the emergency contact for others, and food/water/clothes/meds/bail money for the protesters who get arrested. If they get a call, one person can go and give the arrested protesters whatever they need and bail them out. The space should also ideally act as a safe haven if needs be, for injured, overwhelmed or disabled protesters, and should have multiple rooms for rest and first aid. Anyway, sorry for the long block of text, I just think that this is important. I have acted as part of a home base for many protests, and a lot of people are grateful for the help.

ICE raids are happening.

Any immigrants, no matter how long you have been a citizen of the USA, is at risk of being deported either out of the country as a whole or into what are basically concentration camps. Raids starting in Chicago, Illinois. and spreading to other major cities with high POC and Hispanic populations. The US Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) have started raiding homes and families in California.

There are no "protected locations" as of January 21, 2025. Hospitals, schools, and churches are all at risk of being raided, where before these places were deemed safe and off limits to raids.

When it comes to spotting an ICE agent, look for these:

Weirdly neat/well kept hair (shaved heads, side parts, military burs for men; low buns, high ponytails, close cropped bobs for women)

Oversized jacket (long and bulky outerwear makes it easier to hide tools/equipment without being suspicious)

Both hands in pockets

Many undercover agents/cops buy cheap plain clothes off the racks so they aren’t seen in their own clothes. This can make their outfit seem awkward

Sweatshirts with the hood up

Sports apparel (warm up jacket, sweats, etc) with non-sports clothes (jeans, cargo shorts)

Cargo pants/shorts (usually full of items like their badge, flashlight, taser, pepper spray, backup handcuffs, zip ties)

Military or hiking style boots, sometimes chunky sneakers (extra points if none of it matches anything in their outfit)

Outline of a gun in their pants/shirt (easy to see when bending, leaning, or raising arms) (NO NOT SAY ANYTHING)

Overly friendly

Overly inquisitive

“How old are you” and “what do you know about this happening” are both red flags, along with generally odd and personal questions

Don’t fit in

Mismatched pairs in public spaces (usually cops do these things in pairs. They don’t talk to each other or acknowledge each other much, if at all)

DO NOT SAY ANYTHING UNTIL YOU ARE 100% SURE

YOUR BEST BET IS NOT TO SAY ANYTHING UNTIL THE SUSPECT STARTS ACTING OFF AND GETTING PUSHY

COPS ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO TELL YOU THAT THEY ARE UNDERCOVER

COPS CAN AND WILL LIE TO YOU

SCREAM “LA MIGRA” AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS

For protesting:

N95 masks

Respirator/gas mask if you have access to one

Water water water water water (I hate to say it, but disposable one use bottles are best here. If it comes to it, you need to be able to drop and run.) Use for flushing wounds, flushing eyes of tear gas, and of course drinking.

Snacks! You'll be doing a lot of walking and/or running and need to keep that energy up. Trail mix, dried fruit, nuts, granola bars, crackers, jerky/meat sticks, fruit snacks, candy, etc. Think of it like packing your lunchbox for a field trip.

Eyedrops (teargas is a bitch)

Goggles (I bring my old snowboarding goggles)

If you are wearing a t-shirt or have exposed skin, put on fake/temporary tattoos. If you are brought into something and they say you were there, showing a picture of you with the tattoos, show them where that tattoo would be and how there’s nothing there. How would you get rid of a giant flower on your forearm in 2 days anyways?

Wigs fall under the same category as tattoos. The person they're claiming to be you has a blonde bob and you have green hair past your shoulders. It also makes it possible to go with a completely different color without the use of hair dye. This means if they try to arrest you later and try to prove it was you by taking your hair and testing for dye, it won't come back the way they hope. (Thank you @violetrosepetals for this addition!)

Hide your hair. I tuck my hair into my beanie since it’s short. If you have longer hair, try to do the same or tuck it into your shirt. Balaclavas are also a good choice, as they cover both your face and hair.

Power bank

Chargers

Helmet. Any is fine, my personal choice is a skating helmet since they’re rounder and can take more damage, but tactical is also good

Hand sanitizer

Gloves with hard knuckles (tactical gloves). These pack a good punch even if you don't have the correct form. Don't have those? Wrist guards for roller skating/skateboarding work kinda like that too. More of a slapping motion, but still hurt like a bitch. Extra points if they're all scuffed up from use and falls.

Bandanas. Somebody might need one for their face or hair, maybe you need to get dirt off somebody’s face, maybe somebody got injured. They’re great for anything and everything.

Cash (try to stick to cash, your card can be tracked)

Medications if you take them. If you get arrested or happen to somehow be away for longer than expected after the protest, it’s always good to have emergency meds

FIRST AID ALL THE FIRST AID (Tourniquet, Quikclot, chest seal, trauma shears, gauze, bandages, duct tape, and all the usual stuff you’d have in there)

Good shoes. Boots and sneakers are your best choices. Not heels, not platforms, not sandals. Good boots or shoes that won't come off your feet too easily when you run. Steel toed shoes are a great option. Your toes won't be squashed, but also it'll hurt someone a lot more if you start kicking.

Spare socks. Trust me. You can use them to stop bleeding if it comes to it, but also you can put rocks in there and boom weapon. Also if the socks you're wearing get wet.

As much covering clothing as you can handle. Plain jeans, plain hoodie, plain t-shirt, keep yourself as anonymous as possible. Black and baggy is best.

Photocopy of your ID, not your real one.

Sunscreen!

Make sure your clothes have pockets, even if you have a bag. You want everything to be easily accessible.

Do not wear contact lenses. If tear gas is used, that will make everything so much worse. Wear your glasses or go blind. If you have overly unique or identifiable frames, goggles are your friend here. Get some goggles that will fit over your frames, preferably ones that are tinted.

If you use mobility aids, cover defining features. Logos, brand names, colors, stickers, all of it. Take some old plain t-shirt and tie it around your wheelchair’s backrest. Wrap your wheelchair frame in cling wrap, then duct tape, or plain black self adhering medical tape. Cover stickers on your cane or crutches the same way. Electric chair? You have a little more work, but you can do it. Wrap it up. Same idea. Walker? Same thing. Cover. It. All.

If you are bringing a bag, make sure that bag is as plain as possible. No pins. No patches. No keychains. Except maybe a pride flag so people know which team you're playing on.

Scarf or keffiyeh if you have one. They have many uses!

Write a reliable phone number (of someone who is not at the protest with you) on your body. On the off chance you get arrested, that is your emergency contact.

Pocket knife.

Pepper spray/mace/bear spray

if you get tear gassed, shake around first before using water. Most tear gas is more of a powder and water has a high likelihood of just spreading it around. (Thank you @actually-a-bread-loaf for this addition!)

Tennis rackets also work wonderfully for chucking tear gas canisters back at those throwing them. Anybody asks, you're going out to play tennis with friends later. Baseball bats also work! (Thank you @azul-nova-24 for this addition!)

Anything you can throw. Soup for my family.

IF YOU CAN, LEAVE YOUR PHONE AT HOME

IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT WITH YOU, TURN OFF LOCATION SERVICES ON ALL APPS AND TURN OFF BIOMETRICS (FACE ID AND FINGERPRINT) SO YOU CAN ONLY UNLOCK YOUR PHONE WITH YOUR PASSWORD

COPS CAN FORCE YOU TO OPEN YOUR PHONE WITH YOUR FINGERPRINT OR FACE ID

MAKE SURE SOMEBODY KNOWS GENERALLY WHERE YOU ARE

If you see a potential or active raid, take pictures and note the time and location. Post online if you can, as well.

You have the right to remain silent. State that you wish to remain silent. Avoid giving information about anybody's immigration status. You have the right to refuse to sign anything before speaking to an attorney. You have the right to refuse searches of your car, your home, and yourself. Schools do not collect a child's immigration status.

I do not want to scare anybody, but this is what life is right now. That man does not care how long you have been a citizen of this country. If you are not a white, cisgender, heterosexual, Christian male, you are seen as less than by men in power. You are not less than. You are a threat to them, and they are scared. Keep it that way.

Even if you're not currently protesting, it's good to know this just in case. Things are happening very quickly, and there is a very high chance of it changing very quickly within the next four years.

Here's the link to my post on what to bring in terms of first aid.

If you cannot attend protests, that’s fine. Do what’s best for you. Even just reposting information helps.

This is an updated version of this post,

One One One One-One won one one.

Is a grammatically correct sentence. Because a singular person named (first) One (middle) One (and two last names {yes you can have two and you usually do if you're Mexican EX: Juan Angelo Rivera-Sanchez}) One-One Won a singular one

“Feat. ADVANCED COVID safety tips!”
word balloon: “Have you heard the bad news?”

“Every chain of transmission that is broken is VALUABLE. Every person that doesn’t GET SICK, that doesn’t lose that WEEK OF WORK, that doesn’t become DISABLED or DIE, from the minorest of inconveniences, to the GREATEST of losses: every single one of those things is VALUABLE.” -Becca on DEATH PANEL podcast 2/16/23.

COVID zine page 1

Unless you make it a hobby to follow COVID news and studies, you're probably going off old info.
[stack of word balloons coming from different directions]
"COVID is mild now"
"The pandemic is over"
"'Pandemic of the unvaccinated'"
"COVID is like the flu"
"Only 'high risk' people need to worry about it."
"There's nothing you can do."

Businesses have a clear interest in YOU not worrying about COVID, and governments want to claim "victory" by hiding the problem.

They want you at work, shopping, traveling, and going to events just like you did in 2019--NOT demanding sick pay, clean air infrastructure upgrades, etc.

The CDC didn't want to admit COVID is airborne because it would open employers up to workplace safety lawsuits.

Masks are a visual reminder of the ongoing danger.

In a 2020 study, people who complied with mask mandates spent *25% less time shopping.*

In 2021, the CDC shortened their COVID isolation guidelines...at the request of Delta Airlines' CEO.
COVID zine p2

Here's the real tea:
[handwritten, bold text] COVID is airborne & movies like smoke.
Because the virus is transmitted by respiratory aerosols--the fog that you can see exhaled on a cold day.

Could you smell if someone was smoking? Then you could inhale their COVID virus.
[Cartoon of a person standing near 2 cigarette smokers, surrounded by smoke.]
This is why airflow, filtration, and limiting contacts are key to stopping infections.
[handwritten, bold text] Six feet apart /= safe
That's old news, from when scientists *hoped* COVID was mainly spread by large droplets.

Turns out, it can hang out in the air for hours.
COVID zine page 3

[Bold, handwritten text] COVID is still everywhere.

At least half of COVID spread is from people who don't (yet) have symptoms.

With no paid sick leave and too-short isolation guidelines, people are regularly forced to work while infectious.

[Cartoon of a waitress, unmasked, looking abashed, surrounded by an infectious cloud, saying "may I take your order?" Many jobs now disallow masks!]

The CDC stopped tracking COVID tests, so now the best way we have to estimate how many people have COVID: wastewater testing. Virus levels in sewage closely follow actual cases.

[Cartoon of a toilet with viruses getting flushed]

[Graph of Biobot COVID wastewater levels from jan 2020 to Feb 2024, showing 929 copies per mL on Feb 17]

[Cartoon of me, looking at the graph, saying "More cases than ANY TIME in 2020. Not great."]
COVID zine p4

[Conversion chart of Biobot wastewater levels measured in copies/mL to what percentage of the population is infectious. They are from https://pmc19.com/data/ and @michael_hoerger on twitter.]

Using the national measurements from Feb 2024, approx. 1 in 36 people were infectious with COVID.

[How Does Risk Increase with More Social Contacts? conversion chart]

[Cartoon of me, looking tired, wearing a respirator, pointing up at the chart. I'm in a crowd of people, drawn in silhouette, and clouds of COVID.]

You can see how the risk skyrockets with crowds.

U.S. residents can estimate how many people are infectious with COVID in YOUR area NOW with data from your nearest wastewater testing facility: biobot.io/data/covid-19 [QR code]
COVID zine p5

[Bold, handwritten text] COVID is really dangerous.

[Cartoon of a person's circulatory system]

COVID isn't just a respiratory illness. It injurs the blood vessels and can damage nearly any organ, all over your body.

Even mild infections cause brain shrinkage equivalent to aging 1 to 10 years.

Each infection has a ~1 in 10 chance of causing new, lasting symptoms, aka Long COVID. This is true for kids AND adults.

Long COVID can present in all kinds of ways. Even cases that start mild can become debilitating.

[Cartoon of a person lying down and wearing an eyemask, surrounded by handwritten descriptions of potential Long COVID outcomes]
Can't read, watch TV, look at phone, listen to music.
Brain fog, hard to even think.
In pain, feel like you have the flu for months on end.
Have to lay in the dark and quiet.

See pandemicpatients.org for an extensive list of Long COVID and Post-COVID Conditions: [QR code]
COVID zine page 6

[Graph labeled "Excess Deaths and COVID Deaths in Young Adults (age 18-49)". The "excess deaths [all cause]" number is at about double "COVID-19 deaths".]

So far in 2024, at least 1,000 people are OFFICIALLY dying of COVID in the U.S. every week. Chances of having a heart attack or stroke go WAY UP after a COVID infection, so it contributes to many more deaths than the official count.

[Bold, handwritten text] Repeat infections are hurting us.
The chances of bad shit happening get higher each time you get infected.

Viral fragments have been found in tissue samples even 12 months post-diagnosis. Viral persistence is a likely mechanism of Long COVID.

COVID disregulates the immune system, even in recovered patients. We're seeing outbreaks of RSV, monkeypox, polio, TB and more--possible signs of widespread immune dysfunction.

[Chart labeled: "Fig. 5: Cumulative risk and burden of sequelae in people with one, two, and three or more SARS-CoV-2 infections compared to noninfected controls."
It lists the following bad health outcomes, showing that each is more likely after 1 infection, more likely after 2 infections, and even MORE likely after 3 infections:
Hospitalization
at least one sequela
cardiovascular
coagulation and hematological
Diabetes
Fatigue
Gastrointestinal
Kidney
Mental health
Musculoskeletal
Neurological
Pulmonary]
COVID zine page 7

[Bold, handwritten text] Vaccines and "hybrid immunity" are not enough.

COVID vaccines create antibodies that fight infection. They've greatly reduced hospitalization and death from acute infection. But antibody levels quickly decline over the following months. Vaccines aren't stopping people from getting infected, spreading COVID, and long-term damage

[diagram of SARS-CoV-2 infection. The virus is covered in spike proteins, and there are circulating antibodies, some of which bind to the spike proteins. There's a human cell covered in ACE2 receptors. When a spike protein binds to an ACE2 receptor, that's cell infection. When an antibody binds to the spike protein, it can't infect!]

COVID keeps mutating, with new shapes in the spike protein that evade old antibodies. You can get reinfected with a different variant, even in weeks.

[Bold, handwritten text] COVID vaccines are like an airbag. Avoiding exposure is like keeping your hands on the steering wheel.
COVID zine page 8

[Bold, handwritten text] Rapid tests give a lot of false negatives.

Taking a single rapid test only successfully detects ~60% of early symptomatic infections and ~12% of asymptomatic infections. The FDA now recommends repeat testing after a negative result.

Positive: You have COVID.
Negative: You MIGHT have COVID. Try again in 48 hours, or get a PCR test, especially if you have symptoms or known COVID exposure.

Improve test accuracy by collecting a combined nose and throat sample!

Instructions (from Ontario Health):
Do NOT eat, drink, chew gum, smoke, or vape for at least 30 minutes before collecting the sample.

Blow your nose first. Wash your hands and only hold the swab opposite the soft swab tip.

1. Swab between the inner cheek and lower gum, on both sides. Then, swab your tongue, as far back as you can go. OR, look in a mirror and swab your tonsils.

2. Swab the nasal wall. Tilt your head back and insert the swab straight back (not up) until you hit resistance. Rotate several times. Then do the other nostril.

Order free COVID tests (if covered by insurance): fastlabtech.com [QR code]

Find free testing locations: testinglocator.cdc.gov [QR code]

[Diagram drawing of a combined nose and throat swab, with the swab placed on the tonsils labeled "1" and the swab in the nose labeled "2", to indicate the correct order to swab in.]
COVID zine page 9

[bold handwritten text] What we can do:
[Cartoon of me, looking peaceful, wearing a Flo Mask, surrounded by a light cloud of virus.]

Don't breath COVID in. It's all about MASKS and AIRFLOW.

Wear a mask with N95 or better filtration (aka a respirator) and make sure there are no gaps. A mask is only as good as its seal!

N95+ filters trap particles with an electrostatic charge, which is why they're much better than cloth or surgical masks.

Head-straps give a better seal than ear-loops, and are more comfortable!

Elastomeric masks (reusable face piece, replaceable filters) give the BEST seal, assuming the model fits your face!

[Graphic of a CDC MMWR report, bit.ly/MMWR7106 :
People who reported always wearing a mask in indoor public settings were less likely to test positive for COVID-19 than people who didn't
Among 534 participants reporting mask type
Cloth mask: 56% lower odds
Surgical mask: 66% lower odds
Respirator (N95/KN95): 83% lower odds ]
COVID zine page 10

Seal check: Cover the surface with your hands. Can you feel the mask going IN when you inhale and OUT when you exhale? That's good.

[Cartoon of me with my hands over my mask]

If you feel any air leaking around the edges, the mask doesn't fit properly.

To better know if a particular mask fits you, try a DIY fit test. [arrow pointing to a QR code that goes to the DIY fit test instructional video linked in the tweet]

Source control is BETTER at stopping transmission than just the uninfected person wearing a mask! But both people masking is safest.

[Cartoon of me getting checked out by a cashier. I'm wearing a mask that has virus in it, demo-ing source control]

3M Aura is a good disposable respirator. (buy from a hardware store or stauffersafety.com, Amazon is full of fakes!)

EnvoMask Pro and FloMask Pro are good elastomerics.

[Drawings of the masks]

Laianzhi HYX1002 is currently the best mask that comes in black.

Fit test results: testtheplanet.org [QR code]
COVID zine page 11

Go outside for more airflow to disperse the virus!

Outdoor COVID transmission is still possible, but it's much safer than an enclosed space.

[Cartoon of me and a friend, both wearing masks. A leaf is blowing between us; evidently we're outside]

Failing that, open windows, run fans to pull in fresh air, and use HEPA air purifiers. Get a cross-breeze going!

[Cartoon diagram of two open windows with a box fan in between, pulling clean air in from one window and blowing indoor air out the other window.]

You can make a DIY air purifier by taping a furnace filter to a box fan.

Instructions: cleanaircrew.org [QR code]

Mini DIY purifier with a PC fan and a round HEPA filter!

[Cartoons of furnace filter taped to a box fan, and a round filter with a PC fan on top.]

Purifiers also help with pet allergies and wildfire smoke!
COVID zine page 12

[bold, handwritten text] Extra precautions:
SARS-CoV-2 primarily infects in the upper respiratory tract, so it makes sense to target treatment there. Some nasal sprays have been shown to reduce the risk of getting COVID!

COLLOIDAL SILVER mouthwash + nasal rinse reduced healthcare workers' risk of infection by 84.8% in one RCT.

IOTA-CARRAGEENAN nasal spray reduced HCW's risk of infection by 80% when dosed 4x daily in one RCT.

NITRIC OXIDE nasal spray reduced infection risk by 75% when taken 4x daily after COVID exposure for 10 days, in a preliminary study.

Povidone-iodine mouthwash reduces viral load in the mouth, though how well this prevents infection is unknown.

S. salivarius k12 probiotic losenges reduced upper respiratory tract infections by 65% among HCWs in one RTC.

[bold, handwritten text] NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR MASKS AND CLEAN AIR!!

The evidence base is much smaller and they won't stop you from spreading COVID if you DO get infected. But it's good to have many layers of protection!
COVID zine page 13

[bold] I have COVID, now what??

What I'm planning to do if/when I get COVID again. Not medical advice. I am not a doctor.

People's CDC has a detailed "What to Do if You Have COVID" guide. Gather supplies BEFORE you get sick!

[bold] There's still a chance to stop the spread!

Reduce the chances of infecting others in your household by isolating ASAP, ventilation, and everybody wearing masks. People stay infectious for at least 10 days! After that, test to find out if you're negative.

[drawing of bottle] "CPC or iodine mouthwash to kill virus in mouth"

Don't go out if you can help it. If it's an emergency that can't be delegated or postponed, WEAR A RESPIRATOR!!!

(In a catch-22, you may need results from an in-person PCR test to get disability benefits or Long COVID care down the road)

[bold] REST.

[drawing of mug] Dehydration is ALSO linked to Long COVID, so drink up!

Inadequate rest can WORSEN or potentially even CAUSE Long COVID. Don't work out!! Avoid exertion as much as possible, during infection and in the weeks after. Rest and pacing are also crucial for dealing with chronic fatigue syndrome, a common Long COVID condition.
COVID zine page 14

[bold] Early Treatment

Paxlovid is an anti-viral medication and lowers Long COVID risk by ~25%. It's prescribed for those at increased risk of severe illness...which is 75% of U.S. adults. It must be started within 5 days of symptoms.

Ideally, you can get a Paxlovid prescription from home with a telehealth doctor visit. More options:

Find a Test to Treat site (free prescriber visit) and/or a Paxlovid Patient Assistance Program site (free Pax for eligible people).
treatments.hhs.gov [QR code]

In New York State, you can get assessed through Virtual ExpressCare or by calling 212-COVID-19 .
ondemand.expresscare.video/landing [QR code]

[smaller] (outrageously insufficient, i'm sorry!!)

Here are the non-prescription meds and supplements that RTHM, a Long COVID clinic, recommends to reduce symptoms and risk of developing Long COVID:

H1 blockers
H2 blockers
Low-dose aspirin
colloidal silver nasal spray and gargle
Nattokinase
N-Acetyl-L-Cystein (NAC)
Curcumin (turmeric)
Multivitamin with Vitamin D3
Melatonin
Alpha Lipoic Acid (if noticing increased heart rate)

if u are in the state of california, or can get to the state of california, you can get abortion on demand for absolutely free by doing this

go to a hospital listed under the "qualified provider" list here: https://www.dhcs.ca.gov/services/medi-cal/eligibility/Pages/HospitalPE.aspx

ask for HPE

no information needs to be verified. you can lie and you will not get in any trouble, EVER. say your income is less than $1k a month. you do not need to give a SSN but do not comment on your immigration status. i recommend you don't mention you're pregnant even if you are, but if you do tell them you're pregnant, you'll still be able to access abortion care (it's just that it limits other non-abortion services available to you - it's complicated). if you're just visiting california, say that you're a resident (NOT visiting). give an in-state home address. (this will not be verified. give any address as long as it's in-state. could be a hotel or a liquor store or anything)

you will get immediate medi-cal coverage for the rest of the month you're in and the month following. (for example, if you applied today, june 24, you would get coverage from today to july 31).

note that this is fee for service medi-cal. this means you are not enrolled in a managed care plan

find a fee for service provider who provides abortions (check your county website, but you can also refer here: https://data.ca.gov/dataset/enrolled-medi-cal-fee-for-service-provider). most planned parenthood locations accept fee for service medi-cal, but check before you go

if you run out of time (i highly recommend you know EXACTLY where you're going to go and verify that you can get an appointment within 60 days before you get coverage at a hospital), it is possible to get coverage again through this process by using a DIFFERENT NAME AND DOB. that is crucial. you will be denied if you don't. **note: if the hospital, or the provider afterwards, asks for your ID to verify name and dob, tell them you don't have one. they are required to go to "reasonable efforts" to verify that you're the person you say you are, but they cannot deny you service for not having an ID.**

just be sure that whatever name and DOB is on your eligibility document (the hospital will give this to you when you apply), that is the name and DOB you give the provider

i know this isn't super helpful as californians are not the ones at risk here; but if someone from out of state can get to california, then you can get an abortion without having to pay for it

OK So with the shit with the USPS going on:

OK So With The Shit With The USPS Going On:

1. Check your Voter registration to make sure everything is up to date.  If you can, request a Mail-In Ballot.  I live in CO, where all elections are Mail-In only now, so I get one anyway.

2. Fill out your ballot per the instructions on your Ballot.  Some Notes:

Read Instructions thoroughly, and fill out your Ballot in private.

Do NOT post pictures of your Ballot as this may invalidate it.  DO Post pictures of your “I Voted” sticker.

Make sure to vote for all the offices up for election- as important as the presidential election is, your mayor, governer, local school board and sherrif have a MUCH bigger impact on your immediate safety and quality of life.  Google your candidates, look up the Leauge of Women Voter’s Guides for a reliably Impartial rundown of your local candidates.

Remember also that it is better to have someone in office that is only moderately incompotent, than it is to have someone that actively wants you dead.  It is the first step to having someone worthwhile next time.

If you wanted a third party option, your local elections are the best place to do this- my own city council has several Green Party members and it got me city-sponsored single-stream recycling! Its also moving the state legislature significantly farther left.

3. INSTEAD OF MAILING IT- LOOK UP WHERE YOUR BALLOT DROP-OFF LOCATIONS ARE.

They’re boxes you drive or walk or bus or bike or whatever up to and drop your ballot in, and the elections officials will have it that evening. Pros of Ballot Drop-Off:

Can be turned in the same day you reccive your ballot, if you want to get this over with ASAP

Open 24/7, so you can drop it off whenever

Absolutely guaranteed to get your vote counted, regardless of what Donald does with the Post Office.

Hello, my friends, I hope you're all well 🫂💗

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generous and constant support. During these challenging times, you are our true source of hope. With your kindness, we are one step closer to regaining stability and security. 🙏🏻🍉🍉

However, we’re still far from our main goal and have not yet reached even a quarter of what we’re striving for in this campaign. 😔

Reaching $9,000 as soon as possible will ease the burdens we face and help us rebuild our lives. 🙏🏻🇵🇸

Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us hope and takes us one step closer to a brighter future. 🙌🏼❤️

Thank you for everything you do; your support gives us the strength to keep going. ❤️💚🤍🖤

Hello dear friends, 🌟

I'm Mahmoud Jihad from Gaza. My family and I have lost everything—our home, my university, all of it. Now, we find ourselves living in a flimsy tent after losing everything. I was studying Information Technology and supporting my family, but now we are left with nothing. 😔

We are enduring unimaginable destruction and desperately need your help to survive. 😭 Even a small donation can make a huge difference. Every single contribution is a spark of hope in this dark time. ✨

Our campaign has been verified by: @beesandwatermelons ✅ #190 and @gazavetters ✅ #63.

You can make a difference by supporting us through this GoFundMe link: https://gofund.me/463cbf01

From the depths of our hearts, thank you. Let's rebuild our lives together. 🙏❤️

Thank you so much for your generosity and support!

Your donations will directly help us in rebuilding our lives. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity! 🌹

Aww that's so sad😔. I can't donate some money, but i hope someone else will😉.

Even predators can have predators- and can do much more harm.

my human body cannot do quads themselves- and it just makes me uncomfortable as a whole when i try, but this video is important to listen to; especially the last parts.

yes- people can sexualize you in shorts and fully clothed yes- there are people who have a fetish for bare feet and armpits yes- two is better then one, think of your trusted one as a sorta account manager or virtual bodyguard (mini yes- even wwe wrestlers have bodyguards, no need to say your tough and can 'fight them off'- trust me, adults know how to handle screaming kicking people of any age, height and weight.)

i would say your good within the whole 'location identify' thing as long as your in a big city or place with lots of individuals and away from where you actually live- ex: parks, businesses, EMPTY parking lots (cars have much more identity then you think), docks, even statues (remember the city bit though- i heavily would not do if its a town or smaller as theres much more chances of you being identified)

**every community has its creeps, and we cannot stop it no matter what- best is to just not bother with that corner of the party.**

Please watch!!

Therian safety, especially towards minors! ⚠️

I’ve Seen A Lot Of Posts On My Dash Tonight About Users Who Are Threatening Suicide, With Other Tumblr

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

Reblog this to keep other users aware. Suicide isn’t a joke, and neither is someone’s life. If you didn’t know this, someone else may not, either. Pass it on.

5 Ways To Support Your Local Library

5 Ways to Support Your Local Library

Get a library card. I know this might seem obvious, but simply being a cardholder is a huge way to support your local library. Prices vary, but many people are able to get a library card for free, depending on their location in relation to the library. Check with your local library for more precise pricing.

Check out books. Any books circulating through the library’s system is good - however, I will make the recommendation to check out educational, history, and craft books, for your own benefit. Something to remember: The more a certain type of book circulates, the more likely books of that ilk will be ordered in the future.

Attend programs. Programs are the backbone of a library, but unfortunately, many libraries struggle with attendance. Look for your library’s calendar, find something that interests you, then go to that program. This not only shows support for your library, but opens up opportunities for you to get to know other like-minded people in your community.

Volunteer. Many libraries need volunteers to help handle some of the important organizational tasks that the library staff does not have time for. Many of these tasks are neurodivergent-friendly, such as shelf-reading. Volunteering is not only a good way to support your library, but it may help your mental health and socialization.

Donate. Libraries everywhere are struggling, with many laws going into place in various places that could defund them. If you are unable to donate money, then see if your library accepts donations of other sorts, such as books. Many libraries partner with Friends of the Library groups in order to sell books that are donated to them. Many libraries also have a “Library of Things” where items that have been donated can be checked out by patrons (for example, my Library of Things has an air fryer, a ukulele, a snow cone machine, etc.).

There are many other things that you can do to support your local library, but for now, I leave you here. Be safe out there, and remember: USE YOUR LIBRARY.

All of you probably don't know this. But I am a multifandom person (I'm in multiple fandoms) and my main fandom is Sonic the Hedgehog... And he is the main character of my big series: Chronicles of The Universe...

Now this is a really fun AU I like to have fun with, because there is a tone of lore and I am here to explain it all (I have no idea how that rhymed) Sonic has the ability to travel into different fandoms (Amphibia, The Owl House, ect.)

But the first fandom he went to was My Little Pony! My childhood show (I still love it to this day!)

The reason he first went there is because Sonic had murdered all of his friends (basically all of the characters ik), and he had to learn the path of redemption, you all are probably wondering "oh, what about Hazbin Hotel!?" No, my OC, Multi-Sonic, the god of the Multiverse chose MLP because it would give Sonic a chance to learn friendship... Here are my headcanon friendships for Sonic. Exe and Fleetway and Sonic himself:

Sonic - Twilight Sparkle (two strong protagonists and I think they would get along very well)

Sonic. Exe - Rarity (he would be a great person to be friends with her as he would help her in the boutique)

Fleetway - Pinkie Pie (two Chaotic characters, they would be perfect for each other in friendship)!

Shadow - Fluttershy (she would remind him of Cream back at Mobius)

---

I hope you like this AU!

My binder wearing trans bros and enbies!!! I need your input!

I hate my chest. I absolutely hate it.

But I am not old enough for surgery by law reasons or my mothers reasons.

I wanted to know what your experiences in starting to wear a binder were like, in the physical side. Like was it uncomfortable at any points, did it leave dents in your skin, etc.

I am curious and need help in this area if I want to convince my mom to let me get a binder.

First post…… hi? (Tmnt info?)

I don’t really know what to post, but I’m just going to put some information about what anyone that interacts with me can request! Along with some other information.

You can request fanart

(Just know I’m not a professional but I can do little doodles and show some of my own art to give you an idea of what I can do.)

You can request one shots of the turtles….. I’m not the best at writing but I shall try my best!

You can also request YouTube edits, I have a small channel that I can post them on.

I’m here to bring entertainment and I’m here just to have fun.

Don’t shower me with requests and expect them to be done within a short timespan.

I do this for fun, not for a job. Don’t make it feel like one.

I can make memes that I will occasionally post on here. Anyways, that’s all so far! I don’t expect to get a ton of attention from this first post as I have just finalized this account and just used it for reading things. Whoever sees this don’t be shy to request. I also felt really awkward typing this so. 😂

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! As A Person Of Predominantly Irish American Heritage, I’ve Had Many An Argument

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! As a person of predominantly Irish American heritage, I’ve had many an argument w/ my more racist family members about the wildly inaccurate story they tell themselves in an effort to be victims and invalidate Black Americans’ true experiences of racism and the legacy of slavery. So just spreading a dose of reality today!
