WE ARE NOT GOING TO STOP, SO HERE'S SOME GEN Z MOMENTS AND STAY SAFE OUT THERE
NO JUSTICE NO PEACE
Does anybody know if there's something like the opposite of "the big sad"?, cause it is 2am and i've been similing for the last 15 minutes
I just got done binging Wendigoon's old series on Dante's Divine Comedy, and I have to say, it really gave me an appreciation for just how awesome Christian writings, and by extent the bible really are. It's so hard to appreciate the cool aspects of Christianity these days because so many people in Gen Z associate it with right-wing politics and annoying preachers. It's much easier when you are allowed to take in these ideas without people pressuring you to believe a certain thing about it.
And sure, there are still many ideas I disagree with, but the ideals of virtue in helping others and the way it's explained in the Christian cannon are really inspiring to me. The reputation of Christianity would be so much better with secular people if there were more Christians willing to explain Christianity in a manner that wasn't so pushy and judgmental.
Anyways, I just felt inspired to write this post and put my thoughts out there. Check out Wendigoons videos on Dante's Divine Comedy if you ever get the chance.
Killer: Let's play a little game! You answer all of the questions right, and I'll let you go!
Character: you see that'd be nice and all if
I cared enough
I didn't already want to biff it
I actually knew what the shit anything your about to ask me means
You weren't going to kill me anyways even if I get everything right, and you are so don't try to hide it
Killer: ... What? Aren't you supposed to be scared?
Character: Bold of you to assume I still have functioning emotions left. Now are you gonna kill me or... what?
imagine a horror movie where all the characters are gen z and not particularly scared of dying
These hands are rated E for everyone
yep...thank you public school
I shoot like Helen Keller sees
highschool really do be like this
This au belongs to @dyellogin ,
In this au, Vierla is a college student/daycare substitute teacher, she’s a lot more aggressive towards Pete and they are just physically and mentally toxic towards each other, it’s an on and off relationship, and she slept around with Bill but never inclining his feelings towards her (making it a situation-ship)
I’d like to think Vierla is definitely one of those TikTok creators that goes on lives and does ‘get ready with me + story-time’ content on her TikTok.
She’s still an amazing friend and always gives out great advice! (She doesn’t take any of her own 💀)
i think that, shigaraki is a great representation of some problem of the gen z.. Like it may be just me but even if hikikomori exist for a long time now, its appropriate with our generation. Plus i also can relate to a lot of their issues(hum hum childhood shiggy exept that i didn't kill anyone ;-; )
I also am not the best to explain such a things in english so if soemone get my point please repost as a respond.
I feel like its particulary hard for us, i mean if shigaraki continue his life with his real family i think that it will be a pretty "commun" gen z one from the struggle i had saw in my family and my friend's one when i was a child. I also have the sae tics as him when i'm stress out and a lot of my friend have to. Of course its not everyone but i feel like our generation is kinda fucked up and those vilains had help me go throught a lot as i was like "i'm not alone"
Its kind of a vent post honestly i feel like shit today.
The things is that i think that we needed this. They aren't the best writen vilains even if i love Tomura more then everything but like...i feel like they are somehow having gen z problems. The online addiction and parents issues are more expose now and i feel like, even Dabi somehow have that problem. The parents that want to make you someway and then realise that you'r not "enought" 'cause we'r never enought right ? We'r just phone addict :) we'r just spoiled brat and yea maybe we are but we don't just "creat" that feelings.itsin us that's all.
We make loads of jokes about boomers' incapability concerning tech, so I'd like to present a new aspect: The moment of bonding when showing your parents something they, too, can love about this new world.
My mom was just reminiscing about her student days, and I suggested we look up her doctoral work. She laughed and said she never published it, we wouldn't find it.
But there it was, first hit on Google Scholar. The quiet happy laugh of pride when she saw how many had cited her and used her work for further studies was... beautiful.
So next time you're loosing an argument against your scoffing dad about the merits of today's tech, try thinking of something he'd love about it. Maybe it's seeing a Cristal clear replay of a tennis match. Maybe it's connecting to other hobbyists on forums.
Yeah, the internet is a scary place. So, instead of giving up on it as a toxic swamp, how about we use the beautiful parts and make it habitable again :)
I think the reasons why so many of us gen z are practically frothing at the mouth to fight politicians and other things is because:
A. We aren't really afraid to die. We grew up being bombarded with statistics along the lines of "by 2050 all forests will cease to exist" and "the oceans are going to have a worldwide ecological collapse in the coming years" that we just we kinda accepted it and collectively lost hope?? Like, I realised that I truly, subconsciously believed that the world would end in my lifetime and I just? Didn't care?? And all of my friends think the same way??
B. Most of us grew up seeing our parents being depressed and divorcing and we couldn't accept that as our future too. We have unlimited access to an unlimited source of information and everyday we are bombarded by a hundred different sources of horrible news that either fuels are anger, turns it into apathy, or both. We need something to take that anger on.
We are not old enough to change this system that makes us so angry through politics and career choices, so we do what we can through the technology that we've had access to our entire lives. That is why we want to fight. Because we are desperately clinging to the hope that we can change things for the better and fix this planet the way everyone expects us to.
Slayyyy queen👀✨
Okay but hear me out: What I mean in particular is that Maul in episodes 10 and 11 of S7 is the embodiment of gen z.
- has been telling people about the impending disaster that will tear apart the world and is trying to warn them
- trying to overthrow the government
- ready to throw hands at any given opportunity (or pick them up if we remember that one scene)
- sass
- clearly not straight
- this:
(Gifs belong to @mlmanakin I think, correct me if I’m wrong please)
And of course:
- dramatic as fuck
Feel free to add to this xD
as a young afab queer person going into computer/data science, it makes me so sad that the face of the tech industry is a largely misogynistic homophobic transphobic trump-suck-up unethical billionaire bro club like musk, bezos, and zuckerberg. like, computers and the internet have limitless potential, but we’re using it for this????
i cannot wait until all these dipshits get what’s coming to them so a new generation of leaders can rise up and make tech kind.
Okay I'm officially a fucking fossil now what the fuck is a "incredabox sprunky" and what does it mean when my 8 year old sister is stressed about it's lore-? What the fuck lore are you talking about help-???
what is the gen z theme song and why is it Counting Stars by One Republic
Petition for the next generation to be called Centennial's, all in favor reblog and all opposed like 🤔
