Ok but like what if instead of working every day to earn a degree to get a job I don’t want, I escape to a ramshackle cottage in the woods and bake bread and idk form a coven or something
I've finally done it! I've succeeded!
Shout out to @softcats for the recipe
Why did no one warn me that making sourdough is so complicated?!
Every recipe and website says something different, and there's somewhere between 5 and 37 steps and it's so time consuming JUST FOR ONE LOAF
I just wanted to make bread

the best thing about owning sourdough bread is that you get to eat sourdough bread
Dinner last night 🍅 ham sandwich on sour dough + a garden salad (romaine, cherry tomatoes, onions, celery, sesame seeds and a few cheese curds) with homemade balsamic dressing!
Dressing recipe below:
My favourite recipe is loosely based on this one, but I don’t particularly like grainy mustard, I love garlic, and I like honey.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (it’s honestly fine with normal mustard but Dijon is nicer imo)
1/2 teaspoon honey (sweeten to taste)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground pepper
Seal tightly in a container and shake until completely mixed

I was having such trouble until my mom gave me a life hack. Make fake sour dough. Basically you have your starter, but use yeast as well. Im not a natural baker, even though I can cook, but after using this cheat, I've started to use more sourdough in all my baked goods which must be healthier I figure... At least it's a good starting point for someone who kept failing - me.
Hey Trads and stay at homes!
Is anyone good at making sourdough starter or anything sourdough? Do you ladies have any tips or experiences to share? I’m really interested in starting my baking journey especially with sourdough but I’m scared of the process sourdough is. If you can’t tell cooking is more my thing!! Leave a comment please if so xoxo!
