I was working on a different one-shot about his dying goodbye to April but it got WAY TOO SAD and I couldn’t finish it, hehe 😅 Maybe someday I’ll work up the emotional courage, but today is not that day lol!

Loss of a Twin

Hey all! Here’s a little Disaster Twin angst I drew during college, lol. Poor Donnie’s face during this scene was priceless: the shock, too petrified to move, the knowledge that his life just changed forever. It’s obvious that he never thought he would lose his twin—it never occurred to him. They were two halves of the same turtle.

He broke, unable to move or process the grief.

Hey guys! Welcome to my first little comic strip! It started out with just Leo by himself in a corner and just one picture, but a mishap gave me inspiration to turn it into a comic, lol. And besides, who doesn’t want more Rise Leo angst?? (Rhetorical question)

(BTW I might come out with a longer comic version of this with more slides, but I wanted to release the short version first. Idk, I like the simplicity of this one but have ideas for more Kraang torment. Let me know what you think!)

Leo is trapped in the prison dimension, he stays separated from his brothers for a few months, but for him it’s been years, even if he hasn’t technically aged.

Mikey had successfully opened the portal, but kraang prime got to Leo first and Mikey couldn’t keep it open. He only had Raph helping him as donnie didn’t land on the island.

Once Mikey and Donnie had been knocked off by prime, raph managed to grab Mikey, but donnie slipped out of raphs grasp before they landed and fell into the river.

Raph fell into a coma as a result of his kraang infection.

Donnie is missing for three months after the invasion. Having been unconscious and swept away in the river

Mikey’s leg had broken when they landed on the island, unfortunately it got infected and they had to amputate.

Draxum built Mikey’s prosthetic, but once donnie is reunited he of course made upgrades.

Mikey wears his brothers masks on his wrists and prosthetic. He try’s to have hope that leo is still alive, he still is trying to get him home.

Sometime my job requires me to spend 3 hrs a day on a train and for SOME REASON I get really doodley and inspired on it. I made myself sad so of course I must share and make you sad too.

Spoilers for the movie, also loosely based on my own experience with trauma and "the dark spiral" that neurodivergents sometimes get stuck in. Iykyk.

And yes it is vaguely inspired by that one amazing comic (if anybody knows the creator please let me know so I can credit them, no joke I spent an hour trying to find them to no avail) where Leo's comm is on while he's in the prison dimension and everyone can hear him being beaten nearly to death.

I like to imagine they're blasting T. Swift to appease the younger brothers and Donnie is this close to violence.
