Is it just me who sees this, or is LfL fandom sometimes forgetting what the point of the plot is?

Willy will never be Larry.

Never wanted to be him.

And probably wouldn't want to choose him as a cover.

The whole city knows about Larry and Willy. and they are ABSOLUTELY different. fundamentally. and this is, in fact, the point. that Willy screwed up. because I'm 100% sure that everyone who knows Larry would immediately know that it's not him. just because it's OBVIOUS. Willy simply didn't have the time or chance to change anything, he needed at least something, at least some kind of cover. and in a moment of common sense, he would never choose as the cover the person with whom every second citizen probably greets. even such a short-lived one cover, and it IS short-lived one. Guys, don't forget: this is cut skin. it will begin to rot and smell very tasty in day, maximum two days.😋

Willy has no desire to be Larry. there is no goal to take this life for himself. This is very dangerous and unprofitable for a terrible criminal who has escaped from prison.

combining them into one character is strange, just like seeing Larry as Willy (and most people draw Larry as Willy. I can’t blame them, it’s hard for me to move away from such a vision too, we are told throughout the game that this is “Larry”, but we even found out that they look completely different).

you know what? I don’t care (almost) what kind of response there will be. this is a crossover. Rain World and LfL, how do you like this? I don’t know how to draw, but I love making clay figures and writing, so I’ll try to explain everything with that. I really hope that at least someone will be interested.

I won’t go into details, one of the types of animals that inhabit the Rain World is slugcats. Slugcats are playable characters. These wonderful creatures look like this:

All slugcats have something like a name, for example, the purple one is called Spearmaster, and the green one is called Saint. The big chubby one's name is Gourmand.

Willy would be called Pretender. His peculiarity is wearing masks that can be obtained from dangerous predators. These masks can be used to scare away other predators. Another property of the Pretender is that he can imitate the sounds of predators larger and more dangerous than the slugcat (for example, the hissing and bubbling of lizards).

It seemed to me that this mechanic was very suitable when we are talking about Willy Mack. . .

I'll move on to Willy. this cutie silly boi:

admit that you fell for this cute, harmless face. . . but this is still the same Willy, who can only be satisfied with meat. he is agile, resistant to falls from great heights, fast, dexterous, and very resourceful. he has a torn ear, the tip of his tail is missing (someone bit it off), he is always covered in scratches and scars. lives on the Sky Islands - a region densely populated with a wide variety of living creatures. One of his weaknesses is that he is a poor swimmer, he quickly gets tired of swimming, but he doesn’t need to swim where he lives.

BTW he's VERY associative slugcat, so he does not squeak and meow like them, he didn't have a chance to learn. His only interactions are hisses and short “barks.” just watch how cats sometimes bark and you will understand what I mean.

Most likely neither LfL fans nor RW fans will watch this. well. . . In any case, I wanted to share my work.

about Willy/Findo. . . I simply rewrote what I wrote in Russian to couple of my friends.

DO NOT take it seriously. Please.

why does it exist? because Findo seems like an emotional person, very emotional. most likely, as a Middlewood resident, he is afraid of Willy Mack. terribly afraid. Willy didn’t choose him as a victim on purpose, the guy just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. . . But Willy will realize later that in a sense he has found a treasure, an ideal victim for his sadistic nature.

‼️TW? I'm not sure if this is necessary, but mention of suffocation, hint of cannibalism (that was an interesting theory or headcanon that Willy might be a cannibal and it fits this idea).

Kidnapping and maximum abuse. It’s fun with Findo, he’s terrified, almost fainting, cries, shys away, he seems to be trying to break free, but he is so afraid that he simply obeys. And absolutely seriously, he simply understands that anyway his life is in danger. And maybe if he resists, Willy will hurt him faster. Does he want pain? Not a bit, he's afraid of it. And what makes him even more afraid is undisguised sadism: if Willy star to hurt him, he is unlikely to stop.

This is how we begin. Willy regulary brings Findo almost to his limits on purpose, without actually doing anything. Because even a permanent violation of personal space will be enough. The guy is already in tension, he was fucking kidnapped by a serial killer known for his cruelty. An abundance of affectionate, but persistent hugs, touches on the arms, neck (it’ll be enough to strangle Findo a couple of times so that every time Willy’s fingers approach this area he will cause a plaintive, tearful “please. . .") definitely won't be pleasant, only more tension. Everything will result not in murder, but in torture and incomplete restriction of life.

And in the end, Findo will get used to it. Gradually he will completely stop twitching while being touched in any way. The brain is an interesting thing, amazing, and one of its wonderful properties is getting used to any conditions. It can really get used to anything (there was a terrible example of this in one film: Jews in a concentration camp had the opportunity to escape. Someone shout to them “run, you can escape!” and some of them really ran... But a considerable part of people were just standing. They're used to bullets, they're used to seeing death, they're used to it. They're so broken that they can't see the point in trying to save their life). Findo will sit humbly, he will already accept the hands on his neck, it doesn’t matter whether they gently stroke or strangle him until his mind becomes clouded, he will accept it without frightened pleading mumbling, as a matter of course, because this will become a must, it will be ordinary life.

And maybe someone will someday find out where all of Findo’s haters disappeared one after another, if anyone even finds such a connection (it’s unlikely, no one will know that on the day of their disappearance two will eat strange-tasting meat, and this, perhaps an important part of such a story).

I’ll describe their dynamic later and, in general, how I see this ship! Either this is a separate unique AU, or it will take place after the main plot of the game. . .

I love making playlists dedicated to characters. In this one I can sincerely apologize for the presence of a considerable number of Russian songs, they fit too well. I hope this topic will be of interest to at least someone. I try too hard to put the songs in order so they fit together and it took over an hour to create this playlist with all the searching and then editing.

HAPPY HEADCANON DAY!!!! (Yeah it's me again hiii.😘)

remember we talked about the relationship between Willy and pineapple in their past? So, these guys have an amazing dynamic, and one of these “dynamic fragments” is the idea that Willy used to suffer from either high social anxiety or something, but in a crowd of people he was almost literally suffocating, he could be overwhelmed with panic, so much so that in this state he couldn't speak or even move sometimes without help. and of course, pineapple, like a good friend, seeing that Willy not okay at all, always took him by the hand and led him out of the crowd of people, after which he calmed him down if necessary. Over time, such attacks passed; now, among a large number of people, Willy feels only a slight anxiety.

In general, it seems to me that Willy often needs help to come to his senses. He looks like a nervous person, with a very precarious condition. at moments of the game, literally anything can throw him out of this fragile balance. the line between complete madness and sanity is almost erased, sometimes he behaves adequately, very much so (although in absolutely calm moments there is something that reveals his mental problems), but any wrong step and he will fall into madness. It is often simply impossible to know in advance what this “wrong step” will be.

One last thing. . . maybe Willy suffers from OCD???? doesn't seem to contradict canon, besides, I think that most of his problems stem from cruel, obsessive thoughts. the appearance of such thoughts and their content is not only the merit of OCD, but it is OCD that can make them dangerous. in general, his condition is rather a combination of mental and other problems. . .

do what you want with me, but I'll never be able to get rid of the idea (which doesn’t seem to fit with the canon of the game) that Willy and pineapple, or whatever his name is in the fandom, were friends a long time ago. They are both clearly shady guys and together they shared this path in a sense, maybe a really long time ago, when both were about 20 years old. Another idea of mine that at birth Willy Mack wasn't called Willy is also well woven in here. he changed his name. and before the change, it was pineapple that was the first to call him Willy. Most likely, pineapple also had a pseudonym. He and Willy know each other's real names, but they never call each other by them. Previously, it was a relationship built on deep trust and respect (although it sometimes looked like they were ready to tear each other apart).

one time Willy lost his composure and perhaps the first person killed was one of pineapple’s relatives/someone important to him. not on purpose. but it felt like a complete vile betrayal.

KNOCKING DOWN the door to the eng fandom, but not with shed 17, with let's find larry. Just because I can. AND I'll start with a small headcanon (I love headcanons the most generally😘) that Willy kills most exclusively men. Emotions are important to him (in a sense as much as drama is). a man can easily scare a woman, often this doesn't even require direct threats, but scaring a man is much more difficult. and Willy watches with indescribable pleasure when impudence, irritation or mockery in victim's eyes are replaced by pure horror as soon as they realize that this short man with a knife is much stronger and faster than he seems (and is also clearly a madman).
