Being a sex-positive personally-sex-repulsed ace is weird cuz like reading about sex? Awesome. Writing about sex? Not much more intolerable than writing about anything else. Sex is good. Sex is normal. Sex is only as important as you let/want it to be. Kinks are natural expressions of sexuality. Sexual purity is a scam. Bodies are nothing to be ashamed of. Sex work is no more exploitative than any other kind of labor. If you touch me I will throw up on you.
Instead of calling minerals normal things like "Pyrite" or "Zircon" we should say them as gross approximations of the formula like "Zrsio" or "Fes" or "Mgsiooh". This is impossible to differentiate and solves nothing.
tumblr blackout proposal
tumblr mobile has steadily become near unusable these past few updates. not just from a user experience perspective (which is important enough in itself) but also from an accessibility perspective.
examples include the new way the image viewer works (if you can call it "working"), the tumblr live button replacing the profile button, and that newly created blogs will be forced to have their main dashboard tab be the 'for you' page.
the demands of the protest would be along the lines of:
reverse the recent image viewer update
scrap the new users 'for you' page default setting
let us turn off tumblr live indefinitely
increase efforts against spam / porn bots
make reporting abuse and hate speech as easy as reporting as reporting spam
let us go nuts show nuts again... for real this time
remove flashing ads, including not accepting blaze campaigns for posts with flashing in them
commit to improving usability and accessibility, and listening to users!

to protest against these usability issues, and inspired by the recent reddit blackout, i propose a 48 hour blackout (where you don't use tumblr at all). preferably of both mobile and web (since web has problems too) but mobile is the focus here.
[edit: a 'blackout' is when you don't log in, or interact with the site at all, for [x] amount of time.]

Just before top surgery 1 year ago, I wrote down memories and drew them in recovery just after. I couldn’t really say in words how I feel, but wanted to try to capture some tiny sense of it.
I often study at the public library and it's horrifying how many people I see typing with 2 fingers. People my own age. People younger than me. Older people. So many who never learned 10-finger typing

We need to stop acting like “romantic attraction” and “sexual attraction” actually exist. I know they’re really popular fanfic tropes, and can even be good when well written, but this has gotten out of hand. Some people think it’s real. Didn’t we learn anything from Goncharov? Please start tagging your posts with unreality.

The yellow and blue aroace flag is sooo pretty! I love it sm! I only really use the aro flag+label, because although i am also ace, its just what feels more important to me. But like. I am so tempted to switch to calling myself aroace just for the flag. Best flag. I dont care that it doesn't include any aro or ace colours. Thats what I like about it. It feels whole:)

Hey folks! We figured we’d throw our hat into the ring of Tumblr completions. However, rather than making a themed set of polls, I’ve done just the opposite; anything goes, and you’ll have to make the tough choice between two completely unrelated characters, things, or concepts. Whats better? Your beloved blorbo? Ea-Nasir? Vanilla Extract? Who knows!
Rules— You can submit anything, but said thing must not be inappropriate, offensive, or a real person. Since the past is a lie, I’ll also allow the submission of anyone who was a historical figure.
