(belated) wip wednesday!!! this a snippet from my upcoming fic wedding bell blues

I had a really ambitious idea for this prompt but I had to cut I down due to energy + time limits

I'm not ignoring my WIPs. they're ripening in my mental cellar

The “oh, you’re finally awake” -esque beginning of my fic where Fullbody wakes up in what’s basically the setting of a psychological horror game.

Django, Hina, and the rest of their crew are missing somewhere on an abandoned island and the only way to find them is for Fullbody to hypnotize himself using one of Django’s discs and a snail phone. So he has to come up with the correct instructions and only finds out if they worked after waking up, hopefully back on the ship.

WIP wednesdayyy

Been giving my hand a break the past week, so not much new under the sun compared to previously.

Almost finished with the cover for my stiles playlist (redraw of the 'lofi girl' image if it's not obvious), still working on the comic (ft a mirror shot that i painstakingly put together in my 3D program lol) and just for fun an example of how all my drawings start out: barely cohesive scribbles ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿ (the only context you get is misheard lyrics lol)

Also thanks to everyone who voted in the poll i posted! More than half voted for 1 page at a time, so I think that's what I'm going to go for - maybe 2 if it's more coherent. Going to finish a few more before i start posting because i often need to go back and change/add things for consistency, but I'm hoping to start posting soon! ☆_☆

the as-always inspired file names are 'car nap' ('2 kinds of backseat nappers - the arms-and-legs-crossed and the ragdoll corpse' with more music headcanons), 'pool baseball' (an excuse to draw the body types i imagine for the boys), 'lofi' (self-indulgent cover for my Stiles playlist on spotify lol), and 'iA2' (2nd it's alive sequence) - last is a shot of the comic I'm working on, blocking in colors for the current page [:

derek may be my favorite character on the show but stiles is clearly my favorite to draw LOL. he's just a funny little guy.

Working on two things that are taking a while (one courtesy of being a Big Fuckin' Project and the other is just being difficult and i keep redoing things a million times lol), so have two closeups for now (:

First is another music thing (if anyone can guess the artist/album, hats off to you or you know me IRL lol) and second shot is from a long-form comic I've started \o/ Waiting with sharing more of it until I've finished the first couple pages and decided on the final look, so for now here's a wip shot <: (background panel is drawn over a shot from a 3D program bc i'm just trying to do a comic of my otp not reinvent the wheel here)

Heyyyy it's WIP Wednesday, and I haven't written a single word since my last drabble on Christmas morning! Currently, I am grateful for WIPs that are staring mournfully at me from my docs, waiting to be completed.

As much as I've been trying to play my NYE AU close to the chest, I am simply bursting to share more with y'all, so I'd like to introduce you to a portion of the fic that had @ssmtskw apparently laughing out loud earlier.

“I have an idea,” Nora pipes up, the siblings turning their collective attention on her as a shower of rainbow glitter drifts to the ground at her feet. “How about you find someone to spend the evening with? Just pick someone who draws you in, whether it’s vibes or looks or whatever, and ask them to be your date tonight.” “I don’t need a date,” Alex retorts. “No, but you want one, don’t you? You’re always complaining about being our third wheel. So go find a fourth and make it a whole car,” Nora teases, squeezing Alex’s cheek. He swats her hand away and throws up his middle finger. “I’m not asking you to pick out wedding rings. Just find a hot stranger in a mask to grind on for the night.” “Can you not?” June begs, grimacing at the thought before adding, “Aside from the…grinding…she has a point, Alex. Your sister and her girlfriend are your only friends in a city of millions. It’s time to branch out, baby bro.” Alex rolls his eyes, ready with a fresh argument about how he has friends, thank you very much. But the words immediately die on his tongue, the bitter taste of a lie that he has to swallow back down quickly and hopes to drown in liquor later tonight. “Fine,” he grumbles, the hot pink arms of his blazer crossed dramatically over his chest. June reaches up and quickly ruffles his curls before throwing open the doors and dashing inside, Nora hot on her heels. After a brief moment of rearranging his hair back to its pre-sister perfection, he heaves a deep breath, opens the doors, and steps inside.

There’s a bunch of classmates, celebrities, Nora posting a photo dump about their weekly Austen-binge with June popping in every so often in the slides. Pez in another outfit that never fails to fill Alex with awe; they’re the most stylish person he probably knows, and that’s saying something with his revolving door of acquaintances and friends. Ellen with her recent campaign publicity pictures. His dad doesn’t have instagram, but every now and then Oscar’s face shows up on news outlets as the current-seating senator of California. And then, unmistakably enough to Alex’s eyes, there’s also Henry.

monk - ATLA AU

Alex was already in the Avatar State, and finally looking around the room — littered with Fire Nation army uniforms and the remains of a monk who clearly meant something to Alex and June — it's not hard to understand why.

So Henry doesn't ask Alex where he goes or why he has new cuts on his hands or what he gets up to whenever he's not in school — only looks at him as if all the burning questions he wants to send Alex's way was his newfound telepathic skill. Does so in the next few days because he can't just let go of things like that, and ultimately only stops when Alex finally shoots back a quizzical look at him. He doesn't look angry, per se, but the littlest hint of a challenge does start resting on his eyebrows whenever he spares Henry a glance.

Finaaally I get to post for this LMAO. It's Wednesday somewhere but for me today, too. Thanks for the tags @read-and-write-, @littlemisskittentoes, @happiness-of-the-pursuit, and @kiwiana-writes!

Sharing the longer version here because it's the most recent one I've added words onto the doc. An ongoing second part to my fic shameless plug Smoke Slow AKA my Firstprince shotgunning fic (to give everyone an immediate summary).

Alex doesn't start a counter for the days he doesn't see Henry, but he does keep a list of numbers in his mind; things he could remember on the night of Pez's party. You know, for research. The list starts with the resulting count for all the times he's kissed Henry, and had Henry kiss him back, 27. Next, the total number for every pet name that came out of Henry's pretty mouth, his tongue curling around his vowels and voice dropping in the face of pleasure, echoing repeatedly within Alex's ear tunnels, 13. Then, there's the number of times Henry clutched at his skin, held onto him, unknowingly burning Alex with every touch—pressing down the lightest of lights and the heaviest of weights Alex had engraved onto his flesh—that had ??? for it only because Alex lost count when it hit the first 50. Lastly, the accumulated amount for all the ways Henry's usually schooled expression lost its composure; twisting and painting variations of emotions on his face that had nearly caused Alex's pursuit to detach Henry's schoolboy image from the host a success; Alex had tied them into the veins that pop beneath his eyelids when he closed his eyes, a sweet 16. Suffice to say, Alex can't get Henry out of his mind.

Time to see what everyone's WIPs look like since I will always eat everything up.
