How To Make Your 2021 Vision Board:

2021 is only a few days away so now is the time to make sure your goals are cemented for the rest of the next year. This includes making a vision board. In my opinion it’s the simplest thing you can do to manifest your dreams and it can be a lot of fun. So where to start?

Write down your goals: What do you want to accomplish for 2021? Write it down and make it specific. goals only happen when they’re specific. Ex: instead of “lose weight” say “ I want to work out 3 times a week focusing on different parts of my body and lose 10-15 pounds in 2021.” See the difference! Even though your vision board is mostly pictures, keep these goals in your notes to look at when you need to review if you are meeting your goals.

Start collecting pictures for your vb: You can find pictures anywhere just pick the ones that align best with your specific goals and that look cute for what you’re going for.

Collect quotes too: I add inspirational quotes to my vision board that I read every time I see it. They’re helpful in reminding me of my goals.

Start constructing: This is the hardest part in my opinion because you have to make it look good now! This is easier on actual paper but I make my phone vision board using apps. Use apps like over, canva, phonto, bazzart, and Tezza to edit pictures, add text, and add interesting designs. My sister had a genius idea to add secret messages to her vision board and I’ve used it on mine too! Make it fun and beautiful, this is something you’ll look at for a year after all.

Once you’ve completed constructing put your vision board somewhere you can see it . I put mine on my phone Lock Screen. Everyday do something to complete the goals you have and you’ll see results! For me personally, my vision board + subliminals helped me lose 30 pounds, become more confident, add 11k to my bank account, and discover my inner feminine worth.

I don't know what it is. But I'm getting sick and tired of complaining. If you do that, that's fine; just don't tell me unless I am mentally relaxed or I ask you how you're doing. No offense to people who use venting to express their emotions in a healthy and productive way (I mean, I do that occasionally too). I just can't take it when I'm also getting stressed out and overwhelmed. It's more from childhood socialization so I am actively keeping myself in check for not judging over talking down on people who do that.

I think these two quotes just summarize why I need my peace. I find myself more tolerable to stress and the load of work I need to do in my life when I acknowledge that it sucks and move on. It is what it is!! And all I can do is do my part, try my best, and live another day 🩵

Ngl I always felt like I was behind when I couldn't work on the same schedule as others or I would take longer to complete certain tasks. So many times I've beaten myself up internally for not being as efficient, as confident, as hardworking as other people. But now is the time to remind myself that this is not the case. I work hard. I do enough. I am confident. Just in my own way. And being neurodivergent doesn't make me a failure in life.

Even if it takes me longer to do one thing, doesn't mean I am any less than the others. I just am. I'm just me, living myself at the pace I choose 🩵

I've been keeping this in my inventory for a while, but today felt like the right time to add this to my collection 🩵 I feel like I learned it when I saw this 2 weeks ago, but today I understood it. I have been hustling and bustling all my life, and I don't always take the time to care for myself and slow down. Today, I did. It felt so nice being able to walk home before the sun set, to play a quick game online before easing into a delicious nap on the couch with my dog.

It is so nice to be able to breathe again. To feel whole, to feel loved, to feel held.

I saved this for a while and just noticed Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs in the bottom left corner. I have been so focused on channeling my masculine energy this whole week that I didn't realize I was crushing myself from outside in. My anxiety has been at an all-time high (kind of a symptom toward the end of each semester). Not fun! I'm still working on doing better each semester, but it's hard when the ADHD and anxiety get mixed together, and I become terrified and frozen in place.

Had a long conversation with my best friend last night about how it's time to relax into ourselves and live in peace, regardless of how chaotic life might seem at times. I allowed myself to sleep and wake up later today, and I felt the difference immediately. My anxious thoughts quieted down, and I was able to live a little more carefree.

I mean, life is not the best right now, but I am making each day a little better, a little gentler to myself.

Feels like it is time to slow down a bit in order to walk further down this journey. It sounds counter intuitive, but I know it works because it has before. I just need to trust the journey and trust the Universe to provide me the support and safety I need right now.

I have been overwhelmed lately with everything I realize I need to finish by the end of the semester, which is in 7 weeks. Sadly, my birthday is within the next 7 weeks, and I would hate to be stressed out on my birthday weekend. I was in a similar spot last year having to finish preparing for a presentation the night before my birthday. I wish it would've been different. And I so do not wish this fate upon myself again this year.

Another year, a better me.

It's time to change how I handle my schoolwork and life in general. No more hiding away or being frozen in place. I have to keep my eyes open no matter what comes my way and see it for what it is - a challenge I have been trained to overcome. It just gets a little scary when everything gets thrown at you at the same time.

I had to go to a medical appointment this morning and it feels like I have already used up most of my motivation and energy for the day 🫠. But I know I can't (or should I say I recently decided that I won't) give up this easily, so I am hopeful that it will be another day I can celebrate at the end.
