“You lied to me” Ulrich said, he broke when he saw Yumi’s digital eyes clearer than usual.

“I didn’t” She knew exactly what he meant, closing her eyes.

“This isn’t you” she took some steps carefully, hiding her fans “listen to me, please”

“You said that because of our jealousy, and you were right” he stepped forward “but right now I don’t know what to think anymore”

“How? How you can remember?” Yumi asked, making him sigh.

Yumi put her right hand on his chest, looking at him with sadness, remembering how she failed when she tried to bring William back. But Ulrich is not William. Her feelings were different. This was more personal. And XANA knew it.

She kissed him. Her eyes starting to form tears. She felt his thumb stroking her cheek, removing her trace of sadness, brushing her hair, dropping the only sword he could keep during the battle, putting his right arm around her waist, deepening the kiss as her left hand stayed between his cheek and his neck. They broke the kiss at the same time, his eyes closed, trying to steal XANA’s control on himself.

“Yumi…” he mentioned, softly.

They were desvirtualized. Remembering everything.

“The only thing that I remember is what we did” they were super close, only listening to their deep breaths “I wasn’t possessed when we kissed. Your words were enough to save me”

His words leaved sector 5 space in silence, knowing by Einstein’s voice that Odd and Aelita’s Replika mission had been a success.
