I both love and hate my mom having worked with monkeys when she took practices as a Vet Tech at a zoo. Cause on one hand, I can see how she reacts to cubs and other monkeys and stuff. On the other hand, I show her the picture, she coos, and then proceeds to tell me a fact I didnβt wish to originally know. (Japanese Macaques have hepatitis, apparently..)
Also, another mother monkey thing, Lego Monkey Kid Wise, She says that all the monkeys on FFM are probably Japanese Macaques-
And also Sun Wukong is one too-οΏΌ
Type of shit I've been on.
Yeah, it's probably just that.
Hm, probably just the summer heat, right?
Im sorry was I ment to find out that monkeys apparently have food pouches like chipmunks from Journey to the West??
Tonight, I attended the opening of Dermot Seymour's 'The Nine Primates of Ulster' at the Kevin Kavanagh Gallery, Chancery Lane, Dublin 8. The event began with Dermot conversing with Martin Mackin before answering questions from an audience about his work. Afterwards, the atmosphere was relaxed with plenty of chat.
Each of Dermot's paintings featured the portrait of a different species of money or ape. He did not specify any of these species in the titles of his paintings. The faces and eyes of these animals were painted in sharp expressive detail while their shoulders and background appeared more blurred and abstract. I liked 'Primate of Cavan' and 'Primate of Monaghan' due to their compositions. Dermot's show will run until 12th Oct 2024.

So I've recently joined the Arcane fandom (have not seen any of it yet but have absorbed some fanfics and lots of youtube clips) and I gotta say...
The fact that Jinx/Powder's two animals associated with her are the
Monkey - very intelligent, often associated with being crazy, and the
Shark - can be extremely violent and dangerous, misunderstood creatures stereotyped by the public
Like...hm. The symbolism is well done in this one.
EDIT: I realized she also is represented by a crow/raven (not sure which), and well...
3. Raven - associated with bad omens and death, also very intelligent. Collects shiny things (the unrefined Hexgems, anyone?)
I do online school and it gave me a sentence to find the verbs and what not and the sentence was "Gerard studied monkeys and learned that they eat foods such as nuts and fruits" and my brainrotten self thought if Gerry Keay from TMA,can we headcanon that he likes monkeys?
