To all Tumblr users 🪦

He sat in the dark, cold corner of the ruined room, his stomach empty, his heart heavier than the silence around him. Days had blurred into nights, and hope had long dissolved into despair. Just when he thought the end had truly come, a soft knock echoed on the broken door. A kind stranger, with warm food and a gentle smile, reached out a hand. For a moment, the world seemed to shift. He ate, he smiled, he slept without fear for the first time in weeks. He even dared to dream again.

But the knock returned , this time it was louder, crueler. Fire rained again. The stranger was gone. The little peace he’d clung to was shattered in seconds. The night grew darker than ever before, and this time, even dreams felt like betrayal.

This story mirrors our reality in Gaza. When the temporary truce was announced, our hearts bloomed with cautious hope. We embraced moments of stillness, started to believe that perhaps the nightmare was ending. But when the ceasefire ended, the bombs returned, louder, harsher, more merciless than before. The small light we held onto was ripped away, and the sorrow that followed was deeper than the one we’d known before hope ever dared to visit.

555 days of the war on Gaza, we live what no one can live, if you feel me and can help me, this is my fundraising campaign and my family, you can donate here any amount you can donate

Imagine living in silence, isolated from the world, while trying to survive the destruction and hardship of war.

This is the heartbreaking reality for the mother of Yousef Ezz Eldeen Abo Steta, who lost her hearing in one ear due to the brutal airstrikes in Gaza.

Yousef’s mother was once able to communicate freely with her family and community. But now, she struggles with isolation and silence, unable to connect with those around her. A hearing aid is her only chance to regain some sense of normalcy and dignity, yet the cost—ranging from $1,500 to $2,000—is far beyond the reach of a family already devastated by war.

Determined to help his mother reclaim a little bit of normalcy in her life, Yousef wishes to raise funds for this essential device. The hearing aid would not only restore his mother's ability to hear, but also help her reconnect with her loved ones and the world around her.

Imagine Living In Silence, Isolated From The World, While Trying To Survive The Destruction And Hardship

Every contribution, no matter how small, has the power to change a life. Your generosity can provide Yousef’s mother with the ability to hear again, and bring hope to a family in need. If you cannot donate, sharing her story can help spread her plea to others who might be able to help.

You can donate to yosef’s Chuffed campaign [HERE].

Imagine waking up one day to the sound of bombs tearing through your neighborhood, the walls around you shaking as your entire world crumbles. The home where you once felt safe, where your child’s laughter echoed through the halls, is now nothing more than rubble. The memories, the dreams, the sense of security—vanished in an instant.

@gazasparkle

Story written by @rumiandroses

This is the heartbreaking reality that Ragheb, Reem, and their five-year-old son, Taim have been enduring for over a year. Before the war, they were a happy family, building a future in northern Gaza. But after relentless bombardment by occupation forces, they have lost everything—their home, their livelihoods, their sense of normalcy. They have been displaced more than six times, constantly fleeing in search of safety, only to find themselves trapped in a cycle of destruction and fear that is completely out of their control.

On November 18th, they experienced a nightmare that no family should ever endure. Trapped for 12 agonizing hours under relentless airstrikes, they watched in horror as the upper floors of their relative’s building were obliterated. Five members of their family perished that day. Ragheb, in a desperate attempt to escape, was injured. His foot remains untreated, the pain exacerbated by malnutrition and the lack of medical care. Each day is a battle for survival.

With no stable shelter, food, or access to medical aid, they were forced to grind grains and even resort to eating animal feed just to survive. The situation is only worsening. Their only hope now is to leave Gaza—to escape the unbearable conditions and start anew in Egypt. But the cost of crossing the border is $5,000 per person, an impossible sum for a family that has already lost everything.

This family needs your help. Every donation, no matter how small, brings them one step closer to safety, one step closer to rebuilding their shattered lives. Your support will provide them with food, medical aid, and the ability to escape the horrors of war. If you are unable to donate, sharing their story helps to amplify their voices to help reach someone who can.

You can donate to Ragheb and Reem’s GoFundMe campaign [HERE].

Imagine being an Information Technology student, your days filled with lectures, coding projects, and dreams of a better future. Then one day, your entire world is upended. You find yourself standing atop the ruins of your home, the bitter wind biting through your clothes as you stare at the devastation stretching endlessly before you. In the blink of an eye, your world has transformed from textbooks and computer screens to survival amid the wreckage of a genocide.

@mahmodjsy8

Story written by @rumiandroses

Before the war, Mahmoud was an Information Technology student at Gaza University, harboring dreams of building a brighter future for his family. Those dreams were shattered when the university was bombed, classes were suspended, and his home in Khan Yunis was reduced to ruins. Now, Mahmoud and his family live in a makeshift tent in a displacement camp, fighting to survive without water, electricity, or access to food.

The winter cold seeps through every threadbare inch of the tent, and the howling wind drowns out the silence left by everything they’ve lost. With his father sick and his brother in need of medical care, Mahmoud shoulders the burden of his family’s survival alone. Every day is a battle against hunger and despair, a struggle to find clean water and enough food to keep his loved ones alive.

Despite the ceasefire, the nightmare continues. The streets of Gaza are lined with hollow buildings and shattered glass, a grim reminder that peace is a fragile but unwavering hope. The infrastructure is decimated, jobs are nonexistent, and the people are left to fend for themselves amid the wreckage. Mahmoud's dreams of finishing his education are now intertwined with a desperate plea for survival—for the chance to escape Gaza, to rebuild their lives, to turn the page on this chapter of endless loss.

Your support can help Mahmoud continue his education outside of Gaza, to rebuild what was destroyed, and to keep his family alive through the darkest winter they’ve ever known.

Please consider making a donation to help Mahmoud's family rebuild, or by sharing his story so his call for help can reach others who can.

the things that we've been forced to manage through crowdfunding websites are insane. victims of a genocide are having to market themselves as someone who is worthy of being saved.

living for more than a year under an active genocide while seeing your oppressors cruelty and disregard for your life increase is so horrendous.

every single person in gaza has lost too much. i don't think everyone must have to share their personal loss in order to be deemed as a person worthy of safety. i think we should try to help those we can see asking for it.

i request you to help alaa and her children. she needs to buy supplies and remain safe. her area was bombed very recently. her fundraiser has been verified.

Today I fainted and was quickly taken to the hospital. After conducting tests, it turned out that I still suffer from low blood counts and a significant decrease in my body’s immunity. It turned out that the cause was due to genetic deformities that I contracted while I was in my mother’s womb as a result of her inhaling gases from a phosphorous shell that was thrown next to my mother in the 2008 war.

Story written by @rumiandroses

Majed and his family of five endured the unthinkable as they fled Gaza for Egypt, seeking safety from relentless violence. Once surrounded by the comforts of home and the promise of a better future, they now find themselves displaced, without the means to build a new life. The war brought their lives to a standstill: Majed’s eldest son lost his job, his other son had to halt his education, and his daughter’s dreams of graduating university were shattered.

Now in Egypt, they face yet another uphill battle. With skyrocketing rent prices and a lack of resources, they are unable to find stable housing or cover the cost of education. Majed desperately wants to provide a safe and secure environment for his family—a place where they can begin to heal, rebuild, and dream once more.

Their home, once a symbol of hope and warmth, is now rubble. They’ve lost everything, but not their determination to create a better future. Majed is humbly asking for help to secure a safe home, resume his children’s education, and stand on his feet again.

Every donation, no matter how small, is a step toward giving Majed’s family a chance to rebuild their lives and recover their dignity. Your support can transform their despair into hope and their uncertainty into security.

From under the rubble, I write these words with a trembling heart...

My name is Mahmoud, I’m 29 years old, from Gaza. I have nothing left but my words and a little hope that kind hearts are still out there. The war didn’t just take my home — it took my dreams, my safety, and the life I once imagined.

Imagine waking up with no roof above you, no bed to sleep in, no food to eat, no door to close and feel safe behind. This is my reality.

This is what my family and I live through every single day. Some days we go for hours with nothing to eat. Sometimes we survive on a sip of water.I’m tired — tired of hunger, of fear, of cold nights and empty days.I’m tired of pretending to be strong when I feel like I’m breaking more and more inside.

Verified By @gazavetters (#365)

I’m not asking for much. I just want to feel human again.

A safe place to sleep.

A warm meal.

Clothes that protect me.

A chance to breathe without fear.

It hurts to ask. It really does. But I’ve reached a point where I have no other choice.

💔Donate please 🙏

Verified By @gazavetters (#365)

Even the smallest help means everything to me.

One dollar could mean one meal.

One share could mean one more chance.

If my words touched your heart, please don’t scroll away.

One kind heart could mean a night without fear.

Be the reason someone like me survives.

Imsges: Little Mohammed Hammad, only a few months old, is dying of a respiratory infection.

@life-111

Story by @rumiandroses

This is the heartbreaking reality for Ahmed Hammad, a father in Gaza, whose infant son, Mohammed, is fighting for his life at this very moment.

Mohammed, just a few months old, is battling a severe lung infection that has left his fragile body unable to breathe on its own. The ventilator keeps him alive, but his condition is dire. His father, Ahmed, is by his side, watching in helpless agony as his son struggles to survive.

Doctors say there’s still hope, but only if surgery can be performed immediately. The procedure, however, comes at a steep cost: $2,650—an amount far beyond what Ahmed can afford. Without the surgery, the hospital has made it clear that infant Mohammed will be removed from the ventilator and his life will come to an end.

The guilt and despair that weigh on Ahmed’s heart are unfathomable. In one of his tearful messages, he writes, “How do I bear Mohammed's gaze as he stares at me with eyes filled with fear, silently asking, ‘Father, why are you letting me die?’ … I have no answer. All I have is my tears falling down his little face, as if they're an apology for not being a father capable of saving him.”

Living in a war-torn region, Ahmed and his family are battling the devastating effects of Gaza's crumbling infrastructure on a daily basis. With incomes decimated and prices astronomically inflated due to the blockade, the possibility of affording his son’s treatment seems impossible. Yet, despite the overwhelming obstacles, Ahmed refuses to give up on his son.

Desperate, Ahmed has turned to the kindness of strangers, hoping that someone, somewhere, will hear his plea.

“I beg you, my friend,” he writes. “My family and my child need you to help me and spread our story.”

Even the smallest donation could make the difference between life and death for little Mohammed. In this moment of unimaginable grief, every act of kindness counts.

Please consider donating to Ahmed's campaign. If you cannot donate, sharing this post can help Ahmed find people who can financially assist his son, and help him survive.

By now, you all must have seen the news that Gaza had officially run out of food, as one of the main aid suppliers in Gaza, World Food Program, had announced that their stock has been completely depleted, leaving just a few days for community kitchens to function.

This comes after more than 50 days (and counting) of Israel's complete closure of the borders, preventing food and medicine, among other life essentials, from entering Gaza. There are children crying out of hunger with trucks loaded with over 100,000 tons of food mere minutes away from them, which Israel continues to prevent from entering besieged Gaza.

This also comes after Israel had deliberately destroyed swaths of farmlands in Gaza, specifically targeting them with bombs and chemical weapons that destroy the chance of growing crops. Israel also made sure bakeries are destroyed as well as water sources.

Diabolical is an understatement when it comes to the Zionist entity.

There are still things you can do. On top of raising awareness and protesting when possible, independent organisations like APN are working directly with farmers in Gaza to rehabilitate the agricultural sector and restore local food systems to combat famine, counter the blockade and build food sovereignty. You can donate to their Revive Gaza's Farmlands initiative here.

Additionally, keep in mind that this means whatever food supplies remain available in Gaza now costs astronomical amounts of money, so keep sharing and donating to individual fundraising campaigns. Gazafunds is a good source if you're not sure where to start. Remember that your donations and shares are often the only source of hope for these families.

Ahmed is a young boy trying to survive with his family amidst the dire conditions of war. Displaced from their home, they now live in a tent, enduring hunger, cold, and uncertainty about their future. Ahmed suffers from a dental disease that requires an expensive dental implant operation, something unattainable in Gaza due to the lack of resources and the prohibitive cost of treatment abroad.

Giving birth amidst war is an unimaginable challenge. It is not only unsanitary, dangerous, and costly but also a profound violation of women’s rights—Huda’s rights included.

You have the power to give this family a chance to provide the best life possible for their child. They are already more than halfway to their goal. If everyone who reblogs this post donates even one dollar, their campaign could be fully funded in no time. Please don’t let the hard work and determination of Moataz and Huda go in vain.

You can donate to Motaz and Huda's campaign [HERE].

An adroit young woman willfully followed her passion in fashion design, and her perseverance has led her to insurmountable success in both her academics and in her field.

Why, then, is our world not employing global outrage that she was forced to abandon all her dreams and live in constant destruction?

Story by @fabricated-pessimist

Kawthar Zeyad Ramadan has endured countless hardships that led to her losing her family, friends, and her life’s dreams. Instead of working hard at designing new clothes or reviewing fabrics, she now has to work infinitely more hard to merely survive. Her life’s work is no longer a passion, it is a call to action. Not to mention that it was her valiant work that gave her family a means of income and survival, all of which was mercilessly stripped away in an instant by the conflict. On top of the heartbreak of war, her mother’s health has been a great point of worry for her family for years. She suffers acute kidney failure and requires dialysis three times a week, a requirement that has scarcely been fulfilled due to the increasingly inaccessible healthcare system, the mass of people in every hospital, and the burden of constantly being displaced. Recently, her refugee camp has experienced terrible flooding that has forced them to live in wet conditions during the coldest season of the year. Even with all of this looming upon her and her family’s life, all Kawthar asks from us is a kind donation to her campaign for a chance at rebuilding her beautiful career and aiding her mother’s dire health conditions.

We implore you to give her some peace of mind that the world cares about her family, her career, and her fellow Gazans by offering even a single dollar, pound, euro, or dinar towards her campaign.

You can donate to Kawthar's GoFundMe [HERE].

Watching Pope Francis funeral and I just can’t help but get choked up. He was such a good man and truly embodies what it means to be Catholic. I pray we will get a pope who loves.
