I know my entire page is Critical Role stuff but I do have other interests— I had this idea and just need to get it out into the world.

Can someone please make an animatic of Jim and Claire from Tales of Arcadia using “Will You Fall In Love With Me Again?” From Epic: The Musical? I keep imagining Jim asking Claire after he goes back in time after the end of ROTT. It’s a little too perfect, I mean Claire was the one to say he shouldn’t stop trying to make her fall for him in other timelines.

The evil entities decided to destroy the entire cartoon multiverse but God, the Devil and Bob decided to challenge them with a tournament between mortals vs evil gods called Ragnarok.

rewatched the entirety of tales of arcadia, 3 series and .... the movie..

and and i came across and idea somewhere i forgot where, of combining the httyd + Tao universes!

to be clear, i don't mean in a crossover where to franchises meet but the lore being combined into one universe ahah, so events in httyd still happened then idk years and years later toothless the king of dragons is still alive but ancient and has met the champion of arcadia, the trollhunter Jim!

It's been well, so long since his dragons have interacted with humans, so it was quite surprising to see one enter his secret home,

don't have much story or lore in it yet, it is just a fun thought for now, having toothless meet new ppl that remind him of his old friends

sometimes they resemble them a lil too much..

did i mention he talks here now? I dubious choice but idk, i think it would be fun

" Trolls..." Enmu taps his chin in a mocking thoughtful gesture. " Ah, yes, I've heard of them...Master sometimes would allow the leftovers to be given for the Uppermoons..."

Jim tightens his grip on Daylight, squinting his eyes as he tries to focus through the harsh wind and the rattling of the train he's on top off.

" What do you mean by leftovers? "

" I don't know much, but Master has mentioned trolls a few times...apparently they cannot handle sunlight as well, have long lifespan, and some possess powers like Blood Demon Art..."

The Lower demon giggles, clasping his hand over his mouth. Jim's glare hardens.

" But oh, we demons are much more superior to them! Master Muzan took a few so he could study them closer...when they couldn't take it anymore, he handed the leftovers to the other demons...apparently trolls are edible eheheheh!! "

" You -- " Shudders run down Jim's spine. " -- You eat trolls..? "

Enmu finds delight in the horror of the boy's face.

" What did you say you were? The Trollhunter? Why the long face if you hunt trolls? " The demon wringgles his fingers, making a motion like opening something. " I was fortunate enough to hear of the experience of eating trolls...the skin is very hard and thick, so they have to pry it open and then scoop up the organs -- "

Daylight slashes down on where Enmu used to be, the demon hovers in the air for a few seconds before landing on another spot. He can't hold back the laugh from seeing how Jim looks at him.

" Oh? Are you angry? "

" You're sick. " Jim feels like wanting to vomit. He's no troll himself, but to be treated and talked about like you worth nothing makes his blood boil.

He doesn't dare to imagine if Blinky, Aaarrrgh or Draal were taken away by the demons as meal courses. He'd fight nails and teeth to get them back.

" The trolls have something like crystal stone in them I heard? " Enmu continues on dismissively. " It supposedly can be energy boosting..."

The demon licks his lips. The mouth on his hand copies the movement. Gritting his teeth, Jim fixes his stance and charges, his chest expanding through the total concentration breathing he was taught and practiced. Enmu raises his hand lazily.

" Sleep. "

Here's a fun scenario!!!

Basically, maybe in the beginning of season 1 or around Part 2, Nomura accidentally finds a relic that may have belonged to a demon, their demon art being able to control time. She keeps it in the museum for storage to be taken to the Janus Order for study.

Only for A. In events of "Waka Chaka" the relic is broken or activated and the demon uses it to escape to present Arcadia. Or B. After "A Battle of Two Bridges" a museum work mistakes the relic as a display piece and puts it up, leading to the same scenario.

But not just the demon is taken to Arcadia but also the Demon Slayers the had been chasing it, being Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke.

The group is not only stuck in the modern era, but we're the land and language is so new and unfamiliar. Even more confusing is the boy in shining armor seemingly protecting some stone "demons".

That's a fun scenario to think of! I also weighted the option of time traveling but didn't think to put a demonic relic 🤔 I once thought of having Yushiro being involved in the Trollhunters stuff starting off with his drawn portrait of Tamayo being hung in the museum (because it's one of his oldest painting and he used very old and antique painting set)

Your idea will be fun to explore! I'd imagine this being set at the option B because wohoo the CHAOS there would be so so messy.

Like in Jim's POV, he suddenly sees four unknown people stumble out of nowhere in eastern clothing and brandishing swords he recognizes as katanas (and the girl doesn't seem human???) and in Tanjirou's POV, he and his friends get transported into another world in the middle of a fight and what what are those demons they don't smell like demons wait WAIT INOSUKE I DON'T THINK THEY'RE DEMONS DON'T KILL THEM YET --

But everyone probably focuses more on the fact that they're people to protect, so Tanjirou and his gang try assisting Jim and the others despite the absolute confusion and language barrier.

The way Bular and the changelings and the goblins suddenly get overpower only by the appearance of four teenagers is bewildering like these kids aren't like Jim and Toby -- they CAN and WILL take lives. This makes Jim and Toby flabbergasted too as they watch the slayers actually don't hesitate in chopping limbs and aiming for the necks.

Surprise surprise Draal manages to have a quick but informative conversation with the slayers in the middle of the fight like he suddenly speaks fluently in Japanese (Nomura let out some Japanese curses as well) and it's a huge help to the others so they can have better coordination in fighting against Bular.

Once the bridge is down and the changelings are gone off sights, Jim and Toby have to stand as a shield of sorts between their troll friends and the slayers because suddenly the katanas are all pointed towards them.

" They don't smell like a demon. " Tanjirou says. " But they are vulnerable to the sunlight as well. "

" Drop your swords! They're not dangerous! " Jim can't help but to snarl. He's exhausted. Draal just has his right arm turned into stone and the others are not left unscathed from the battle.

These new incomers are powerful -- probably the strongest humans Jim has ever seen. They are warriors, he can tell. They have experiences. He's forever thankful that these slayers are on the good side at least.

" Do you eat humans? " The question is directed to the blue troll.

" No. " Draal answers in Japanese, his breath is heavy and tired.

The slayers exchange glances. Zenitsu can tell that there's nothing but truth in their claims. Nezuko doesn't seem alarmed as well. Inosuke decides to let his comrades lead the situation next. Then, they drop down their arms to their sides.

" So, " Toby looks around at the mess, " what now? "

This can probably be a very long one shot or some chapters. I imagine the slayers have to stay in the trollmarket (with Nezuko and all) because staying together is a better option. They'd try to explain what they work as and get accustomed to the modern world.

Inosuke absolutely loves the training ground, cackling as he dodges the swinging blades and leaping over moving tiles. Everyone gets another whiplash at seeing his beautiful face. Zenitsu jumps at every second a troll walks past him but he feels safer around Aaarrrgghh (cause he thought the gentle giant could shield him from danger).

Nezuko spends most of her time sleeping. She surprises some trolls with her strength. They compare her to gnomes, and this sparks out some angry rambling from Tanjirou who keeps claiming that she's a beau.

Tanjirou offers to help Jim in terms of stamina and muscle management with total concentration breathing. Their swordsmanship is different so there's that. Blinky thinks it'd be good to have Jim battling against an opponent with different style fighting and Tanjirou is yet to be defeated. He encouraged Jim and is very humble so he gets along with everyone.

This is all I can think of for now, but this is a joy and interesting idea to think of.

Probably going to write something with this crossover, where Tanjirou and Jim are pen pals ☺️

Oh hey look, protagonists that use sun based ability, still teenagers and have lost some friends of theirs ☺️😭

Anyway, if I were to write a crossover story of these series, I'd probably do it in the Kimetsu Academy and reincarnation AU. I'd have Tanjirou being the background character of sorts, where he gives advice to Trollhunters characters and is the wise and mysterious character that no one knows much.

(Tanjirou tries teaching Jim about Concentration Breathing but he's suck at teaching so there's a bit of troubles here and there 😔)

Centuries ago

" Must you play with your hunt? " The scolding in your voice holds no pressure, only bits of annoyance as you stare at the deer corpse on your feet.

Angor glances at you over his shoulder, still having his hands in the river as the blood slowly leaves his stone skin through the streaming water. You kneel down, trailing over the body of the animal. It's easy to detect the signs of a struggling animal before it was slaughtered.

" You led this ran into a quicksand. " You mutter, glancing at the stain on the legs.

" That I did. "

" You could've killed it right away. " Because you know he's so stealthy and quick on his feet.

" That I didn't. "

Angor Rot huffs out a chuckle at the glare you give him. He straightens up, flicking the water off his now cleaned hands before turning around.

He lowers himself next to you. " This one is a beau, and a healthy one at that. I could not help myself. "

You have to agree with him. It's not everyday you get to see a thriving looking deer like this, with a glistening thick coat that you can whip up as gloves and tool straps. Not to mention the antlers...potion worth ingredients. You're not even specialized much in potion brewing but with an ingredient like this, the success rate is high.

A soft sigh escapes you. " We have a different view of how to have fun. "

" Contrast to what you may think, I am rather picky with how I play my game. " He settles a hand to your lower back. " The more curious I get, the longer it goes. "

A shudder runs through you at the way he brushes his thumb against your clothed spine.

" A quick finish is better, in my opinion." The words sound like a suggestion. It brings a smirk on his face.

" Where's the fun in that? "

Modern era

" He's not going to kill you. At least, not right away. " You hum, stirring the spoon in your steaming mug of tea.

Jim looks rather horrified at your laid back response. " Why are you so calm about this? "

" I am not. I am actually terrified. "

" Wow, I can really tell. "

Your lips twitch upwards just slightly. You couldn't blame him for being a nervous wreck, not when the assassin just showed up at his school and had him fight a magic golem. The very magic method you taught the troll.

Sipping your drink, your eyes dart back to the anxious teenager staring at you for solution and comfort. You knew you could only provide one.

" You need to be calm when facing Angor Rot. A slip up can cost your life. " You put down your mug, the liquid in it moves slightly to the hidden shaking of your hand.

" I can hardly risk any slip ups with being the Trollhunter. " Jim grumbles. " So if you have any advice on how to take on this guy, that would be appreciated. "

You smile. " As your Guardian, I am here to help. You don't have to worry much about Angor Rot when I am here. You may as well be his target, but..."

You tilt your head, a dazed look in your eyes for a second. When you focus back on the boy, your smile widens.

" I am his favorite to hunt. "

Jim is about to add another redeemed antagonist into his family tree. Strickler is his step dad, Nomura is the wine aunt, Angor Rot...is the weird uncle nobody talks about and has an insane lore.

Also I just noticed about Angor Rot's design, specifically the colour. I don't know if it's coincidental or not but I LOVE LOVE how they chose to make his eyes turn white when he lost his soul. I thought they'd turn duller color of yellow but nope!

It's really interesting for me because the white colour is a colour that reflects back all the visible wavelengths of light, contrast to the colour of black that absorbs all. So, in a way, the white colour rejects any light. It holds nothing at all.

And you know what the usual saying about eyes?

Eyes are the window to your soul.

When his eyes turn white, it means there's nothing there. No soul. Empty.

Also Lavenoon, I love the GIF you made! Yeah give that skinny skeleton looking something fuzzy and warm! I wanted to draw Angor in a sweater but!! Maybe later 😀

Severing Hell's Leash by @lavenoon is so SO good guys 🥹 a what-if where Jim returns Angor Rot's ring. A redemption arc for Angor and I just LOVE IT SO MUCH 😭😭💕💕

Ugh UGH antagonist seeing the hope in the young hero's eyes for him dimming (but it feels so easier for him to think that the hope is gone because how can he measure up to what the naive boy expects from him?)

You: Yeah, you know, clean up the mess.

Jim: Like -- if we accidentally broke the fire hydrant when fighting goblins? You're going to do some magic spell to make it like the hydrant never got damaged?

You: Something like that, yeah.

Jim: *Jokingly* You're going to clean up the bodies too?

You:

When Jim or Angor Rot are referred to as Merlin's or Morgana's champions, I feel like that's another way to call trophies.
