Darkwing Duck Characters as Arcane Characters

*I only did a few because I couldn’t decide for other ones*

Nega-Gosalyn - Jinx/Powder: Jinx is a tragic character. Compared to her sister Vi, Jinx was not as physically strong and relied on more of her smarts.  But, people usually underestimated her and her ideas didnt work most of the time in her childhood except once that caused dire consequences. This tragedy caused her intense mental trauma and fear of being abandoned. 

Gosalyn - Violet: Vi is Jinx’s older and stronger sister. She is tough, rebellious and cares about her family. When she was young, her and Jinx’s parents died which made Vi want to help her little sister grow. Vi is also not afraid to fight and is great in hand-to-hand combat.

Darkwing- Vander: Vander took in and raised Vi and Jinx when they were kids. He’s also in charge of taking care of the under city where people considered lower class live. Vander loves both of the girls but bonds more with Violet since he taught her how to fight and is trying to teach her leadership. He used to be a stubborn person but has since mellowed down after adopting Jinx and Powder. 

Negaduck- Silco: Silco is an antagonist and lives in the under city but is mostly looking out for himself. He once trusted someone but was betrayed which changed his view of the world. After the tragedy, he took in Jinx and considered her as a daughter. She grew to be the only other person who mattered to him

Launchpad-Benzo: Benzo is Vander’s good friend and sidekick in helping him. He is a nice store owner who takes care of a kid named Ekko who is his assistant. 

Grayson- J. Gander: Grayson is head of the police force for the utopian city and sometimes the under city. She is fair and works with Vander to keep peace in both cities. 

Bonus:

Heimerdinger- Scrooge: Heimerdinger is an immortal man who has considerable power in the utopian city. He is against magic due to an unknown tragedy.

always thought that Silco became a council member in the ep 7 AU... I would've loved to see him interact w/ Mel or Cassandra 🥹🥹🥹

Heimerdinger had to 'die' in the other dimension because if he came back with Ekko he would've derailed the entire arc with one sentence.

Heimerdinger, to Jayce: My boy...I'm afraid we have to go put my former assistant out of his misery. For the greater good.

Jayce [was about to go kill Viktor]: He's my partner. And I'm afraid I can't let you do that.

Heimerdinger: That's not up to you, my boy, but for what it's worth, I'm sorry it had to come to this.

And then Heimerdinger gets the Salo special.

Basically, like what happens when parents tell their kids to clean their room RIGHT when they're about to do it themselves, Jayce loses all motivation to kill Viktor when Heimerdinger says it's the only option.

thinking about heimerdingers song playing while they cut from ekko with powder to jayce staring at the two corpses/husks/ whatever holding each other did this show have to gut me and leave my entrails spilling on the ground. was that necessary

The way he walks, the way he's so fuckuing incompetent, the way he's just casually classist, the way he's so oblivious to the world around him, the way he goes on and on about being a scientist and then does jackshit, the way he starts mourning viktor before he's even dead, the way he slurped that fucking tea made me violent, the way a like 17 year old had to teach him that poor people deserve to feel happy too, the way he allowed zaun to get like that in the first place, the way he's like 300 and acts like a literal child, his dumb ahh mustache, he looks like one of those old trolls dolls, his eyes creep me out, hus ears too, the way he's literally the worst character INCLUDING Marcus and fin and hoskel

I hate the fact I'm supposed to feel bad for him when something goes wrong because of his FUCKING INCOMPETENCE. Like omg you didn't do your job properly for like 200 years and you get kicked out that is sooooooo sad

Like they have SO much to get through in just 3 episodes and with the way the other two acts have gone (leaving certain characters for just one big segment in one episode instead of spreading their scenes out) makes me kinda worried

Like how are we going to get through all the stuff with viktor and jayce, get mel back, find ekko and the rat, caitvi, vi becoming an enforcer proper, jinxs everything AND noxus in just THREE episodes

Maybe they'll be longer??? I kinda doubt that tho

viktor arcane has to be one of the characters ever.

he's gay. he's terminally ill. he's suicidal. he's from league of legends. he's in a toxic relationship with an orb. he also might be the orb(???). he bullshitted his way into the academy by pretending he went there. he rizzed up a guy so he wouldn't kill himself. he then tried to impress said guy by breaking into his boss's lab. then when he got caught he tried to play it off by saying he thought this big intimidating door was his bedroom door and he was just trying to sneak a guy in there. he nearly died because hetero sex was happening like a mile away. kinda. he took illegal drugs. he's also the apprentice of the guy who's making the illegal drugs and never mentions it. he's inspired off of the tale of frankenstein's monster. he got shot by a missle and fucking died. when he came back to life he immediately broke up his messy gay situationship and became jesus fucking christ.

So Lily and Mikaila posted recently the cover of a Live they are gonna do focused on Arcane. And i must say 2 things based on this cover:

One: They are gonna bash Vi for being with Caitlyn and then call her incestuous because of hair colors and somehow the shape of Caitlyn face looking similar to her mother

Second: They are gonna simp HARD for Sevika and claim that she should have killed Heimerdinger when she got the chance. Or if not her, Ekko killing Heimerdinger after meeting him when he left home because "EVIL CAPITALIST SHOULD DIE."

All i can say for sure is this.

Be ready for the Shitstorm.

Everyone saying Season't 3 Supreme Archangel Aziraphale is going to have a beard and frankly this is all I can picture

My friend is know watching Arcane (this is the same on that watched dead boy detectives) and when I was asking her about the characters today she called Heimerdinger "the mouse". I kid you not, I was rolling laughing. She in picking up the gayness of Jayce and Viktor, said they were both ace, love to see more ace rep. She also hates Powder, so 😒. She is only up to episode 3. So 15 more to go and a lot more pain.

Arcane Act Three Spoliers

Was anyone else waiting for alt Viktor to show up in episode 7 to help Ekko and them with their problem. I mean based on what we know Jayce might be dead, having killed himself cause he couldn't do his science, like he was going to do before Viktor stopped him. And even if Jayce is dead that still leaves Viktor. He wasn't even mentioned by Heimerdinger, like wouldn't you want help from one of the guys who created the thing even if it is just in an alternate version to help you. I guess maybe they didn't want people to know they were from a different reality but still. Viktor is still a very smart guy like hextech wouldn't even have come as far as it did without him. He had just as much as a role as Jayce did so why not call him up, unless cause something happened to him.

Arcane Act Three Spolier

There is nothing that could have prepared me for the start of episode 7. Like I am still sad about Isha but then my boy Ekko is back. The streak of pink in alt jinx's hair has me crying

I am rewatching acts 1 and 2 before watching 3 and god, I am just as interested in knowing what is going on with the tree and Ekko is. Also Heimerdinger sneaking into his own building is amazing. I would take like a whole short or episode of just him sneaking into places

Ok if Jayce got back in EP 5 where the hell are Ekko and Heimerdinger. I need to know where the boys are

just finished When We Cease To Understand The Universe by Benjamin Lebatut and among other thoughts I am achingly curious if anyone in the Arcane writers room read this shit because the correlation between 20th century astrophysics & chemical warfare & the inevitability of humanity poking the hornets nest of existentialism & Viktor and Jayce & Singed & Heimerdinger & black hole & the speech at the end of S2 Act 2 is too wonderfully bound to be coincidence
