Gabbro's Cyclone Dance ::) I found some new brushes and have been ITCHING to put them to work! I'm extremely pleased with how this one turned out! Rake brush my beloved.
I wish there was a way to tell gabbro that you're breaking the loop and that this is the last time the sun dies.
everyone else either never realises what's happening or always believes it's final anyway. but gabbro has been in the time loop too, they've seen the universe end countless times too, they have no reason to think this time will be any different. and I know you can tell them that you know how to end it, and they're pretty chill about it to say the least. but that's not the same thing as telling them you're actually doing it now.
you know the choice you're making, and they're the only other person in the universe who can understand that choice, who can know what the choice is, but you don't get to tell them that you're making it.

Fishing Buddy (2022)
This was my first attempt at characterizing Gabbro! And their relationship with Feldspar. I believe Feldspar, in their last times before disappearing, enjoyed spending time with Gabbro. Not only because by the time, Gabbro was a new astronaut and could replace them for campfire storytime, but also because Gabbro is one of the rare Hearthian that doesn't expect anything from Feldspar. I also wanted to give Gabbro some emotions without being over-the-top about it. I believe Gabbro shows emotions, just not as much as other Hearthians. I think, since they grew up during the beginnings of Outer Wilds Ventures, they kinda always got prepared that something bad might happen one day. Also, first appearance of Chert in my comics as well! I love them, but I never really know what to do with them, aside from making them the reasonable one in the Ventures. And first interactions between the current astronauts! Even though Riebeck was still in training back then...

The Legend of Outer Wilds - Gabbro's Secret
Oooh there's the big reveal! I don't have very defined scenes in mind for this AU, since I meant it to be left open for others to imagine stories with it, but Gabbro's big reveal is one of the rare scenes I had in mind for a while. Since Gabbro's design for TLOOW was very much inspired by Zelda villains, like Skull Kid and Ghirahim, I also wanted to make their presence more threatening, without making it a straight-up villain. But making them a little unstable without any reason didn't feel right for me. So I gave them a reason. I decided that they would be in the loop first instead of Hatchling. With their flying bug going rogue, they can barely leave the island. They solitude got to them, and when they got the occasion, the brought Hatchy into this! They will interact again! I will draw the second part one day, if I got time!
