Hi, I was just wondering if you were aware of this or not.

Although I get it from a money point of view, the 'opt out' thing is still disappointing for me.

I wish it were an 'opt in' thing instead.

Yeah, I'm aware. But it's probably worth it to spread this around so other people here know that there's an 'opt out' option. This isn't something new, by the way. Just about every other major social media platform has already sold / is actively selling your data for AI training and for other purposes. The bigger players are training their own AI models on the data/activity/content of their userbase too. And whatever existent information could be scraped by external parties without the permission or knowledge of you or the platform's parent company has also already been gathered up. So, that this place is on board too is par for the course. Disappointing? Yes. But surprising? Not really. Oh boy, we humans sure are the hot commodity of our time. Hooray. We're the MVPs of capitalism (most valuable products).

Anyway, this is bleak, and I have to go make some cat animations.
