chat I've made a purchase-

Ok, but imagine the dead poets at Hogwarts, and even tho they are all in different houses, they still have their study sessions in Meeks' room because out of the 7 of them they are all doing one or more subjects the same as someone else.

Meeks aced runes and let's Charlie cheat off of him because he thought it would be an easy A, but turns out he had to actually put effort that he didn't want to use into it.

Cameron is always helping an incredibly confused Neil, Knox, and Charlie with divination.

Pitts and Meeks are always fiddling with muggle tech that only Neil and Todd know what the other two are working on, and no, they aren't going to blow anything up. At least they don't think so.

Todd always has to give Neil his notes from care of magical creatures because Neil is always figuring out a way to try and hug the creatures, that or figuring out how to give Todd a hug. It's not his fault they all look cuddly.

Charlie isn't half bad at potions, but only because he sneeks in to watch the teacher make the potion. Otherwise, he would be rubbish, Knox is incredibly grateful for having Charlie as his partner.

Pitts and Perry try their best in herbology, but again, Neil wants to hug everything, and Pitts is very worried watching him get emotionally attached to a plant, so they usually have to ask Stick for the course work after class. Pitts is pretty sure Neil has managed to smuggle in and domesticate a baby womping willow, who he's pretty sure Neil named Puck.

Charlie always says that Knox was a cheater when it came to how good he was at charms, Knox always replied with something cheesy about his looks or something even more cheesy about his name. Cameron was quick to wack him over the head.

It was always a competition between Cameron and Neil for who was better at transfiguration, Neil accidentally transfigured him into a textbook once and spent three days figuring out how to turn him back. He was too embarrassed to get a teachers help.

Probably the most surprising was how incredible Todd is at defence against the dark arts.

He was also the only one who could stay awake and pay attention during history of magic. So it was the only time Meeks and Cameron would allow themselves to sleep during class, knowing Todd had their back.

And the guys who aren't in Meeks' house always get caught by prefects on their way back to their dorm, so much so that a prefect has started knocking on the door when there's 10 minutes till curfew.

Pitts is also really good at getting lost, but he is also really good at getting to his classes on time. He just goes with the flow.

Ok, I can't currently, at 20 past 11 at night, stop thinking about Neil Perry with a wonky walk. Like he has a left lean walk or something like that where he is always slowly walking off to the left. Charlie definitely, at first, thought Neil was coming onto him with how much he was getting into his personal space, but then he saw Neil walk out of the dining hall, from his place at the table, and saw how he slowly veered to the left.

Charlie, thinking Neil knows about the way he walks, just subtly helps him stay in the right direction even if it sometimes drives him up the wall. The thing is though, Neil doesn't know this fact about himself and is always confused when he smacks into things because he could have sworn he wasn't that close to it before.

Neil is most definitely banned from going into the woods on his own because the one time he did go into the woods by himself, he got so lost that it was the next day before anyone found him. He insists that he doesn't know how he got lost, and annoyed he walks away from them, and all the poets can do is sigh as they watch Neil slowly walk off to the left and of course Neil is looking up at the birds in a near by tree and not where he is going. And he wonders why he got lost in the first place.

#1 would probably be Todd. I like to keep to myself and i don’t mind not being part of group activities.

#2 would probably be when Neil is talking to mr Keating and he says he is trapped. I am a christian and go to a christian school and sometimes it feels like i am trapped in my religion and i can’t get free from some of the beliefs.

#3 I noticed that at the beginning of the movie, the latin teacher is teaching in a classroom, and being boring like all the other teachers, and at the end, after Neils death, he is seen walking with his students outside in the snow. I believe that this was inspired by Mr Keating.

#4 I like asexual Todd head-cannon or adhd Charlie.

#5 I have taken to looking at how i live my life and how i feel about how i go through my everyday life. You never know what and when things will happen and even if you don’t get to do everything you want, you should at least be happy with how things are at the moment.

mentally i am in a cave with my 7 friends a few miles away from the boarding school we are forced to be at by our parents reading poetry to each other

@books-poetry-tea omg thank you for asking! So the introduction is Understanding Poetry, Pritchard is saying how good poetry is something measured by graphing it’s qualities. Poetry is yk a form of art which expresses any emotion you can think of. Poetry is a deeper way of people allowing themselves to be vulnerable and all that. On the surface I am the pages. I represent a type of scale weighing the good and the bad but sometimes my ideas of bad and good are blind sided by everything around me. So the scale Pritchard made shows human excellence not human expression. Which like omg this scene is so important to me because it really encompasses the meaning of the film. The boys ripping out the pages is them finally allowing themselves expression over excellence. I am the pages because I have become blinded by the expectations set in the environment I’ve grown in. So when the boys rip these pages away they are essentially allowing the pillars(tradition, honor, discipline, and excellence) or the expectations that have been set for them to brake away which in turn relates to me by ripping away toxic traits I’ve learned and need to unlearn.

Stop it guys y’all are being delusional. We all know what happens… Neil gets dragged home by his dad and he can’t tell his dad how he feels. He goes to bed not feeling understood with the pending doom of military school. It’s about 11 by now and Neil can’t sleep and he’s just so angry and sad and he doesn’t now what to do so he walks through the house and BOOM!!! Jk his dad wakes up and he explains that he was scared to tell him about theater after the events with the school paper so he lied and that he’ll still go wherever his dad wants he just wants to do theater on the side (he switches his majors but his dad doesn’t know that as of right now) so his dad agrees and let’s him continue at Welton and Keating keeps his job. I’m the end the poets all go to nyc and do whatever they want with their lives.

o/// Finally shouting into the void that is Tumblr. Hello DPS fandom, I just have one question to those who would like to answer, and it's one that i've been thinking about a lot, recently. Are you more invested in Neil and Todd's relationship, or Charlie and Neil's? I tend to find myself leaning more towards Neil and Charlie and their friendship. I have no clue why, I just do. PS: also, huge shout out to my mutuals who followed me back when I had no posts on my blog- you guys are real ones.

Thinking about that one kid in my law class who came into class everyday with a plastic bag full of water and would drink it with a bendy straw throughout the class....anyway Charlie Dalton energy.

Can’t stop thinking about Cameron and Charlie actually being friends. Like they were roommates, do you know how much potential that has??? So, because I am on a tangent I would like to share a few thoughts:

- Charlie seems like he would be the kind of person to throw pens at Cameron when he wants his attention. So the floor is always littered in pens much to the annoyance of both of them because Cameron won’t pick them up.

-Cameron found out that Charlie could play the saxophone when Charlie would play a single, very loud note when he was too deep into studying and didn’t notice the pens bouncing off his shoulder. 

-They wear roughly the same size of shoes and when in a hurry they’ve been known to accidentally take the others and then complain about it for the rest of the day.

-The rest of the poets are tired™ of their bickering only because they know that it means nothing to either of them 

-I think I may have read this headcanon elsewhere, but them starting a podcast. 

-Their energies would balance it out so nicely, maybe do it on obscure parts of history

-Charlie would bring in snacks and brush the crumbs off his bed, into his hand, and then put them directly onto Camerons pillow. (Cameron would just take off the pillow case because he is sensible like that)

-I want Camerons parents to love Charlie, maybe they’ve met him at the first day of school assembly thing. 

-Better yet Charlie didn’t want to go home for the holidays and instead of admitting it was bothering him to the rest of the poets (and Charlie and mr.perry sounds like a nightmare for neil) Cameron just casually says that he could stay at his house for the break.

-Which creates the power duo that is camerons mom and Charlie. 

-If it was modern day they’d snapchat each other daily 

-Charlie is in the family groupchat 

I got ahead of myself, but anyway. I just love them together as friends and think it is unexplored potential.

Okay, so:

Upon meeting Todd: is he, ya know,*hand gay gesture*

“I think neil is my favourite” *soft smile* (Oh noooo)

Laughs at todds improv poem, goes silent, “ahhhhhhhh” 

“Half a roll?”

Saxophone in the cave scene: “Oh shit! Buddy can play it! I thought his only skill was making turkey noises” 

“Oh this movie is making me feel things.”

About the unmanned flying desk set: *soft eyes* oh it was so good but so sad

Charlie talking to Gloria: *I made that up* “haha! No you didn’t!”

“Can they kick the girls out again?”

Neil, is doing nothing: I love neil!!

“I knew this man was a prune.” (To Nolan when he stood up before the phone call from God scene)

After the play: oh no. oh no, *looks me dead in the eyes* you fucker

When Charlie punches cameron: Suck it less valid red head!

*camera pans to Pitts, during the end scene* Yes!! You got this Pittsie!!

After, the movie: You fucker you fucker, you made me feel things
