On a brightly lit Vaudevillian stage, six of the same woman, Astra, are lined up with pearly smiles and arms splayed wide in fanfare. They all gesture up to a seventh Astra, who cradles a bouquet of white roses on a podium centre-stage. They're each adorned with flapper dresses, beaded jewellery, and costumes from various occupations Astra has assumed. In the dimly lit foreground stands another Astra, who has stood from her seat in the audience. She is not smiling. She looks over her shoulder, towards the viewer, with a look of alarm.
