I don’t think anyone else has made this comparison before which is wild to me but Meowth is so Similar to Rocket Raccoon it’s uncanny?

Both:

Started out as ordinary, innocent young animals like any other of their species

Are now hyper intelligent gadgeteer geniuses who may as well be human as they speak and walk on two legs like any other human does complete with wearing clothes

Can translate animal/Pokémon even with their speaking of human language

Resorted to thievery after the world was cruel to them which are pivotal parts of their heartbreaking backstories

Became what they are now through tragic means with amounts of nerve damage or unnatural warping of their skeletal systems done to their bodies as a result of becoming bipedal

Are tough wisecracking jerkass smartass little guys with Brooklyn accents and hearts of gold

Are associated with the word rocket 🚀 with it having a special meaning to both of them

Are part of groups who became found family and found a place of belonging with them when they were rejected elsewhere

Are considered freaks of nature and dehumanized by most as specimens to be studied/experimented on/used for profit except for their found families who genuinely love them for who they are and affirm their humanity through treating them like they would any other person
