A little back posting because I definitely only found this event today \(^.^)/
To the world it was supposed to be a beautiful, cloudy Tuesday morning. To Eddie and Christopher, it was something completely different. The atmosphere felt heavy, and like gravity was pushing down on their lungs. Christopher had lost something, and it was so tangible that Eddie felt the melancholy of the moment.
They had both lost something, and Eddie, for the life of him, couldn't remember anything that he used to find comfort in. The way that Buck’s smile would crinkle in the corners of his eyes, and how light his laugh sounded. Most of the time it could be mistaken for a chorus flying on the wings of the Southeastern wind.
No matter how many people told him it was the wrong choice, he hadn’t left El Paso. He never went back to Los Angeles to rejoin the 118 firehouse. Now, it was too late, and everyone moved on. Everyone. Including.
Baby blue eyes that could smash any wall that Eddie had ever dreamed to build around his heart. But ten years later.
Ten years later, he was starting to lose touch.
Those crows feet around Buck’s eyes were softening out into a bleary view. His voice starting to fade into ether where Eddie knew he couldn’t follow. Some days Eddie had to pinch himself to remember that his name was Evan Buckley, not just the frat boy nickname he picked to be called. And Christopher. He knew that something was wrong.
They had moved during such a turbulent time that Eddie knew that Chris felt the empty space that’s only coincidentally Buck-shaped. A good parent, would make sure Buck doesn’t stay forgotten in his son’s mind—or a figment of his imagination. A heartbroken man, however, will continue to live in the fantasy his son created where they never lost their other half.
It was too late to call. Or, to try and re-forge the bonds he already threw away.
He put his phone down, and tried to close his eyes. It’s better to just sleep away the pain before he could drown in it.

eddie diaz is actually such a fun character. he's had three girlfriends in his whole entire life but still carries unimaginable drip. he was a teen dad but instead of seeing his son as a burden or regret he flourished under fatherhood. he's serious but also very very silly. his government name is edMUNDO. he doesn't believe in curses but has been plagued by saw traps for basically his entire adult life. he loves his bestfriend enough to give him his son. he wear chanclas around his house. he's the princess of LA. he's maybe even gay. imagine being racist enough to dislike this guy.
Wiring that huge essay didnt make me less horny sadly.

Whenever I get too obsessed with a show i literally start dreaming fake episodes and then have to wake up and check to see if it was a real episode or not
So when I was deep into 9-1-1 a few years ago (mostly for Buddie) I had a dream where Buck was having a panic attack or something and Eddie was holding him being like “you’re safe, you’re okay, I got you” or whatever and then Buck just like…kissed Eddie???? And then I woke up
But now with what I’ve been seeing online about the most recent episodes I feel like this is a plausible scenario????

Sometimes I want to be stuck in a homoerotic relationship like (insert popular MLM ship here) but then I remember how easily I fold for people that I’m not even into like that so I think whoever else I’m in the homoerotic relationship with could ruin my life and I’d do it for a forehead kiss
I like to think that during Buck’s first year at the 118, he was enthusiastically taking any shift he could because he loves being a firefighter and his real life is lonely.
Then one day, he comes into work and Bobby is just like, come with me. They get in Bobby’s car and he drops Buck off at his house, “If you keep going like this, you’re going to burn out. Take the time.”
And then a few hours later, the 118 comes back from a call and Buck is in the loft. Making a grilled cheese.
Bobby gives him a look like, what the hell. Buck’s eyes go wide and he asks genuinely, “You meant all day?”

started watching 911 and tbh at first I really was like "ah it can't be that bad!!" about buck and eddie. it is. it is that bad. what do you mean they had a textbook rivalry to best friends arc. what do you mean buck is basically a second dad to christopher. what do you mean he would get legal guardianship of christopher because no one would fight for christopher like him. what do you mean hes living in eddies house. what is going on. why has buck looked at eddie like that from day fucking one what the shit
I was telling one of my friends that doesn't watch 9-1-1 about Bobby hand picking Eddie to be Buck's partner and how Buddie been raising a kid together for 8 years. My friend at the end of my little 911 lore drop goes "that's what some would call an arranged marriage."
we say Eddie baby trapped Buck but Bobby actually marriage trapped them both to each other.
