The King of Wands, Reversed
I feel resistant to reversed cards. I dread their apparent negativity.
I didn’t have much information to call up about this one right off the bat, beyond the fact that wands are fire. Desire and will. So... I looked it up.
This card reversed can indicate inauthenticity. Doing things that don’t feel true to you. It could be warning against recklessness or risky impulses. It may mean that you are holding yourself to grand, but unrealistic expectations that you are struggling to achieve, resulting in frustration with your lack of progress.
Looking at the card right side up, the King looks cocky and authoritative. Reversed, those same qualities could seem brash and egotistical.
Reflecting on my day, at the end of it, this card was accurate. I had to ask my mother for help paying my health insurance bill, which is very unlike me and which causes me an enormous amount of distress. I am fiercely independent. I feel like a failure. But is it reasonable to hold myself to expectations of financial security, given the current situation? No. It isn’t.
Maybe I need to take it easier on myself and learn to accept help when I need it.

Magic is really very simple. All you’ve got to do is want something and then let yourself have it.

I'll try anything at this point. Sticking this on a piece of paper inside my phone case. Wish me luck.
This request is a two-part-er. I wanted to make sure to cover all the bases.
The first sigil is for use while you are looking for a job to apply to. Keep it open on your computer / phone / device / whatever while you are searching, or write it on your person as you look.
The second sigil is to be used after you have found a job that you want to apply to. Energetically project this sigil onto your resume when you go for your interview, or, alternatively (again), write it on you somewhere, preferably where the interviewer won’t see it.

Today, I created a spell for the very first time. Maybe I should have done more research into how to make that happen most effectively, but I decided to go with my gut and work with what I’ve got. It felt good.
The bowl in back contains a few pennies and a sachet full of shed snakeskin. The miniature green candle has a sigil, designed by @thesigilworkshop, carved into it. This one in particular is also drawn on my wrist and carried in a slip of paper in my cell phone case right now. “I have found the job I was looking for”. I wanted to put that message out into the world while also preparing a contingency for the possibility that I am disappointed by another rejection. The candle and the bowl are for the best case scenario. The stones are for the worst. To remind me how I’ll move forward if need be.
A Job Hunter’s Spell by @thecluelesscoyote
* green candle [for luck, success, abundance]
* snakeskin [for transformation and change]
* copper penny (pre-1982) [for prosperity] * rose quartz [for comfort and healing]
* amethyst [for soothing]
* carnelian [for motivation and endurance]
* white sage incense [for purifying and clearing away negativity]
I’m new to this, but I don’t think I’m one for verbal incantations. I lit the candle and the incense and pressed my fingers to each component of the spell, thinking about their meanings in my mind, visualizing the results I’m hoping for in either scenario. I let the candle burn out.
Please give your feedback, if you'd like! It was recommended to me by @growing-yet-into-magic to try a circular configuration next time, as well as to not spread my sigils too thin. What are your thoughts?
I was asked for one of these earlier today and I knew I had written one (in one of those notebooks or google files lol) so here we go! This can be made into either a spell jar or a charm bag, whichever you feel more comfortable with!
bay leaf – prosperity
cedar chips – success
caraway seed – luck
sunflower seeds – power & manifestation
ginger – confidence
Just like any other jar or bag, intent is the key ingredient. If you’re making a jar you can light the candle to seal it now (bonus – feel free to carve sigils or words on intent into the wax if this is the only thing you will use this candle for – tea lights are perfect for this!)
Go ahead and add those ingredients one at at time. Think about what you want to get from this, imagine yourself working, nailing an interview, etc. If you aren’t great at meditating or focusing, I find that saying them out loud, or writing out the things you want to manifest help tremendously, fold it up and put it in the bag!
Seal up the jar or tie up the bag. Bring it with you when you look for jobs, apply for jobs, have interviews, etc.
Remember– magic will NEVER take the place of hard work, you can’t get a job if you don’t put in the effort to get a job, this is just to help you along the way!
Best of luck, my loves!!
Also if you have trouble sealing jars, I have a tutorial here. And all of my other spell jars, tutorials, grimoire stuff, etc can be found here.
