These are some of the first sketches i did on my iPad when I first got it.
Litwick, Gastly, Pumpkaboo, Drifloon, and Phantump are some of my favorite pokemon because they remind me of Halloween and they all have some dark stories to go with them.
Litwick
In the games litwick is most often a pokemon that pretends to be a guide but instead leeches the life force of any pokemon or person that follows it.
In other games it is said to guide lost children to the spirit world, comforting their journey with the warm flame atop it's head.
Gastly
This pokemon is 95% poisonous gas, the other 5% is made of the souls of those who have dies due to the gas.
Gastly produces a faint sweet smell, this lure can attract unsuspecting victims that are put to sleep without being aware.
Pumpkaboo
Pumpkaboo becomes active at night and is said to illuminate the way for travelers in the dark. It's also thought that it carries wandering spirits to the afterlife by storing the souls in its body.
Drifloon
The ballon like pokemon is rumored to be a reincarnation of deceased humans, it's also known as a signpost for wandering spirits due to its aimless drifting.
Desiring company, Drifloon often seeks out children and grabs their hands, though it's said that it steals children who are rough with it and guides them to the afterlife.
Phantump
This pokemon is said to come about when a a lost child dies and it's spirit possesses a tree stump. It then wanders the forest in search of friends.
Ledgends say that the green leaves on its horns can cure any illness, when plucked however the leaves will instantly wither away.
Season of the Witch
I drew her based off of a friends drawing and now I want her hair, scratch that I want her whole fit.
Lumidouce Bell
The lumidouce bell it said to represent parting and the wish for reunion.
In Coppelius play Gilden Hyperborea, the flower is referred to as "weeping crystal." The play depicts a homesick flower wandering in the freezing lands of the north. It’s beauty is made eternal by the icy winds. Critics of Coppelius's time thought that he was obsessed with eternal beauty and eternal love–this obsession was written into every line of his last works.
Lumidouce is a portmanteau the French words, Lumiere “light” and Douce “sweet, mellow, and soft”
I did this piece in a rush for a short timed art competition.
I hadn't played wuthering waves for a year so I had rushed through the quest and I absolutely love Rovers dynamic with Shorekeeper.
Koi
More koi info below
Koi are typically ornamental fish and there are many variants of them.
They come it many colors and patterns, some of the major colors are white, black, red, orange, yellow, blue, brown, and cream and occasionally you can find metallic shades, like gold, silver-white, and platinum scales.
They are originally native to central Europe and Asia and were originally domesticated in China, where they were primarily used for consumption.
Around 1875 colored koi became popular and the number of breeders increase and some expensive koi were produced. Koi breading flourished in the Nijūmuragō area for two reasons the custom of raising Koi in fallow fields for emergency food during the winter and to the existence of many inden or hidden rice fields in the mountains, unknown to the Lord, which allowed the farmer to avoid taxes and became relatively wealthy. Overtime koi went from an emergency resource to a status symbol and a decorative fish, in modern times they are seen just about everywhere in the world and even over populate in some areas some variations of the decorative and colorful koi fish go for high prices among collectors. In 2018 one koi was bought by a Chinese collector for about 20 million, the highest price ever.
