A Movie, a prequel, and two spin-offs
Reposting this because I’m seeing people not having realized this is a thing.
FTF will be available for free in the US after the west coast slot finishes airing. If you don’t have cable you can watch it on YT for free
I fully support this stance
When Izzy first walked out I was worried that he would be made into a joke that the crew would laugh at
but then he started singing and the dancing began and I realized that he wasn’t meant to be a joke at all. This is the most open and happy we’ve ever seen Izzy and the show treated it that way. Not mocking him but instead celebrating this moment.
When we talk about queer representation it’s usually just focused on queer relationships, but what I love about this episode is it shows other sides of being queer. That moment where Izzy saw Wee John doing his makeup and had a realization that he wanted that too? That is what being queer means to me. The crew singing along and cheering for him? That is what being apart of the queer community means to me.
What i love about this show is that it shows queer joy, not in a sanitized way, but in away that is messy, beautiful, and without any mockery or shame.
Steven Universe: Eh, I don't really feel like saying "girlfriend" or "wife". Maybe they're together. They have a special connection...
(gets violently shoved aside)
The Loud House/Craig of the Creek/The Owl House: Pfft, amateur. "My GIRLFRIEND Sam and I..." "I'm texting my GIRLFRIEND, mind your business." "Luz's new GF showed her..."
I think everyone has both "hard" headcanons (things that are so integral to your understanding of a story that you can't enjoy content that contradicts them), and "soft" headcanons (things that are mutable, where you aren't strongly attached or you're open to alternate interpretations) and if you aren't sure if something is one or the other you can just read a fic where the author disagrees with you and see whether you react with "Huh, that's interesting" or "I have been overcome with a creeping sense of existential wrongness."
One of my favorite things about fic writers who endlessly churn out fics for the same ship, is seeing what little details stick from fic to fic even when they’re not in the same universe
As Garnet from Steven Universe once said
"Your soulmate is your compliment, not your missing piece"
honestly i am so tired of people saying they're "looking for their other half" because it implies that you're not whole if you're single. so this is your reminder that you don't have to be in any kind of relationship to be happy or have a fulfilling life !!
I don't need sleep, I need to talk about fiction. She/they 💚💙❤️ aspec (gomens | ofmd | su | amphibia | toh | tdp | hellaverse | atla | httyd | arcane)
