Spinel having a spinel but that spinel has a pearl
The Diamonds gave Spinel the Pearl first. They customized her, thinking their lovely Spinel would adore a beautiful Pearl to do things for her. Spinel was horrified at the notion, and felt terrible with this poor Pearl following her around everywhere. The Diamonds, not realizing their mistake, gave her a Spinel as a “sorry” present. Obviously she was uncomfortable with the Pearl, so she should have something more her speed- another Spinel! :) This gift was even more horrifying to poor Spinel and she’s not sure what to do with them.
I’m not sure a nickname for the Pearl but the Spinel is known as Crow
Casual draw of a concept I’ve had since steven universe future came out and just never had the wherewithal to do anything with.
The concept is simple: a resort for fusions. Once permanent and mixed gem fusion became legal, a few fusions who had hidden who they were wanted a place where they could relax. They earned a vacation from looking over their shoulder constantly. A resort was born, built out of an abandoned Blue Diiamond entertainment planet. It’s incredibly beautiful, fancy, and perfect for the couple looking to get away from the memory of the pressures of era 1 and 2.
Within the resort, there are two single gems. Snakeskin Agate and “Blackjack” Pearl. Snakeskin despises that the resort she used to work so hard at is a hub for these disgusting displays now. She hates era three, hates all these new rules, and hates Steven most of all. Snakeskin threatened her Pearl, Blackjack, into staying with her at the resort. She has a plan. A devious (but not terribly smart) plan.
Her idea is to have her Pearl scope out the fusions that come to this resort, force the weak ones into a fusion, and gain power. Slowly gaining enough power with enough gems to overthrow this silly new empire. And put things the way they should be. Orderly, and right.
Blackjack doesn’t necessarily like this plan. She loves the concept of era three and desperately wants to be free from her abusive owner .She was dragging her feet on the plan, delaying it the best she could.
Until Steven Universe himself decides to check out this resort.
I think it’s time I talk about Illendra.
I mention her a few times, talking about Covah and his story. But I’ve never talked about her.
Illedra, in case you can’t tell, is a member of the Arglwydd Amser race. She is one of many who protect time itself from anything that might deviate it from the path that fate demands it go. She is forever loyal to her creator, the god of time itself “Boss”. And will do anything Boss says. Like most Arglwydd Amsers.
At least, she was 100% loyal before Boss called her for a new mission one day. And assigned her the tremendous task….. of dying. Boss told her that she was fated to go and be with the wielder of a cursed sword, and eventually perish under his blade. But, in doing so, she would cause the wielder to question killing and eventually end the spirit inhabiting the blade- thus keeping others from the grasp of this deadly curse. And Boss from having to weave fate around this dumb curse the deity behind curses created.
Illendra, of course, feels apprehensive about the task before her. It is her duty to seal her fate so history may be written in the way it needs to be. But….. She’ll die. Be no more. And that’s a scary thought for any creature.
She was wallowing in her sorrow for a while, but eventually overheard rumors of a Arglwydd Amser who defied fate. One who roams free of Boss’s woven fate.
She managed to get a meeting with Gwendolyn, and ask his advice towards her situation. Gwendolyn, surprisingly, advised she follow her fate. He revealed that even he was not totally free from whatever fate the Boss decided for him now. He just refused to listen to him anymore, and recognized that their lot in life was total bullshit. The torture of knowing their fate and the fate of others would drive most mad. But they had to deal with it. They were all dolls in the major deity’s little game of house.
However, Gwendolyn suggest she delay her fate. She didn’t necessarily have to go die immediately. She had time, and told her to only go when she was ready. See sights, conduct chaos, whatever she wanted. But, she would eventually have to go to keep history in tact.
So, Illendra travels time. seeing things she’s always wanted to. And delaying the inevitable as much as she can.
hhhh they both look so gooood!! thank you for doing these!!!!
I dream of life without a monarchy.
Rise up! When you’re living on your knees, you rise up.
And? If we win our independence? Is that a guarantee of freedom for our descendants? Or will the blood we shed begin an endless Cycle of vengeance and death with no defendants?
I may not live to see our glory. But I will gladly join the fight. And when our children tell our story! They'll tell the story of tonight.
Where am I? My hands are tied. Turn on the lights, And I see you standing, Over me, It's hard to breathe! I can't believe that you'd do this to me! Years of us building the trust up! No love was ever enough. I'm foolish to think we were friends. It's funny how it ends. You know, When times get tough you always give up. I know your smoking gun's the tip of your tongue. You take your aim to point the blame It's time we let it go. So save your lies, behind those eyes you're a devil in disguise!
A Covellite I've had forever that I haven't bothered to post till now. She's slightly shorter than average, only coming to Garnet's heigh instead of a head taller than Garnet.
She was born next to my rebel Covellite and holds hate and disgust in her heart for the rebel who saved her from the chopping block when she was born. How could her sisterCovellite rebel against Homeworld? Side with the crystal gems? Leave her?
She has a crush she refuses to acknowledge on the gem she records, a newscaster gem known as Datolite. I call this one "Violet" or "Smalls" to differentiate her from my other Covellite lol.
what characters of yours can grow a beard? (sorry for the random ask Gender Wants are making me think of beards so I'm asking a bunch of people about beards)
No problem! You're in luck, I was actually just considering this. Here is a list of characters of mine that can grow a beard- and their shaving habits;
Covah: Generally does not let his beard get past a short stubble. It's very slow-growing and does not even get to stubble until after about a week. It grows weird around his scar, and he doesn't like the feel of it against his skin. So, he shaves. It would be rather fluffy if he let it grow, however! Like a soft cat.
Dottingale: It does not develop into a full beard- just some sideburns that grow down the whole side of their face. It does not meet at their chin. Dot shaves, currently, daily. Their cartoon biology causes it to grow back in full the next morning. They don't like the looks they get. The judgmental thoughts of the populace at a "feminine" person growing a beard. It makes them self-conscious. However, when they are an adult, they stop shaving their sideburns (and stop filing down their horns every morning!). The sideburns themselves feel weirdly fake, like plush fur. However, that is normal for a cartoon like Dottingale.
Helvetica: His beard only ever really grows to a dusty stubble. His position and power means he doesn't need to shave- he can just think the beard away. However, sometimes he just needs to focus his thoughts elsewhere. And, a tired stubble is upon his face. He doesn't necessarily mind having or not having it- but feels better being more "professional-looking" without the stubble. His beard is very pointy- like little knives.
Hitchcock: The only character I ever draw with an actual beard! He lets his beard do whatever it wants- It's shorter on the sides and meets into a longer "goatee" at his chin. It does not meet above his lips for a mustache. The beard itself is a little coarser than it probably should be; he doesn't care for it properly.
Percy: When he's an adult and finally on T- He likes having a nice stubble! However, it doesn't ever really get past stubble. Unfortunately, he got his mom's genes in the beard department and not his biological father's. It doesn't grow well. Percy's care routine involves balms to keep his stubble nice a soft.
And as for ocs who want a beard but can't grow one for various reasons:
Cyraeni: Mermaid biology keeps them from growing one. But it would be cool to match Dot!
Gwendolyn: Look, he wants to complete the washed-up bum look he's got goin. Might as well, right? But, he just can't. No amount of supplements or wishing will make it happen.
Zipper: Okay, look, she gets she's entirely furry. But a huge ass pirate beard would be SO COOL. Arg! Peg legs and swashbuckling!
>SCREAMS INTO THE THOUSANDTH SUN< LOOK!!!!! LOOK AT MY DAUGHTER!!!! LOOK AT HER BEAUTIFUL FACE!!!! YOU DID HER PERFECT I LOVE-
@yaboy-robin oh sorry this is bad whoops
A squared display That remembers when! That leads the way To live in “Then”! (But why live it again?) Those children- The men-! Mm, never again! Is it to change, Bend, Shift the way things were? To turn the mystery To a history you prefer? To take it back? The film to black? The shot to blur? Or-?
Who cares what happened after?
The next in my element swap/no rainboom au; Applejack the element of generosity! Along with her future girlfriend and wife Dancing Vision.
Applejack, like all in Ponyville, grew up hearing tales of the Everfree forest and the terrifying creatures within it. She was told very sternly to stay away from this mystical place, lest she be lost forever.
However, during Zap Apple season one year, the Timberwolves wandered too close. In trying to chase them off, Applejack found herself lose in the forest of legend. And, instead of getting closer home- she found herself deeper and deeper in the forest.
Of course she was scared at first. However, she soon found herself at the home of a lovely zebra shaman who helped her calm and see the beauty and usefulness of the plants in the forest. And, directed her home.
When she returned home, she found her parents were injured by the Timberwolf attack.
Applejack returned to the forest, hoping the shaman would help. But it was as if she never existed. So, in desperation, she crafted a healing remedy herself from what she remembered from the zebra. As if by a miracle, the remedy worked enough so that actual medical help could be gotten. During the wait, she told her story of how she met the zebra. And her granny remarked she must have met the guardian of Everfree, who helps those it deems worthy of its grounds.
It was then Applejack devoted herself to learning more about the forest and its plants, so she could help others with its gifts. And, in return, she would care for the forest with her knowledge of plants. This is how she got her cutie mark. She now works as a local “witch doctor”, much like Zecora in the show. And generously gives many of her remedies to those in need for free.
Dancing Vision is a crystal pony who never received her cutie mark before the Crystal Empire vanished for a thousand years. Tired of all the pressure to receive her mark, she prepared to leave for other lands, so she might find other things that she couldn’t do in the Crystal Empire. But she didn’t make it out before King Sombra took over.
When the Empire returned, Vision went on the quest she’d planned a thousand years ago, and found herself in Ponyville.
Applejack, being the generous pony she is, offered to let Dancing Vision stay at the farm while she got on her feet. So long as she did some work. Dancing Vision agreed.
I’m not quite sure what her talent actually is yet, but I know it’s something that didn’t exist a thousand years ago. And that Applejack and Apple Bloom (the only cutie mark crusader wto get a cutie mark related to helping others find their talent in this au) help her find it. And, of course, she slowly falls in love with the lovely pony who opened her home for her.
