Not them having ableists on their DNI while also using "narcissistic" as an insult LMAOO
Media Competency = Narcissism
Ight, sure.
how it feels enjoying anything when antis are around
Also isn't the average book with vampires/werewolves full of incest and rape??
saw a tiktok earlier of someone saying "I miss when darkfic mean werewolves and vampires, not incest or rape" and i just. dark fiction has always been both at once, the meaning didn't just suddenly change or get "worse". Vampires, werewolves, enemies to lovers, etc etc, are still problematic tropes, just in different ways. It really goes to show that these people only care about what they like, and if they are uncomfortable, then they make it everyone else's issue

Help an old lady out - and by old, I mean I was there when fanfiction.net came online. I was there when the / meant slash/gay fic. I was there when ao3 came online after the “great” ff.net purge of explicit fics.
I was there when the deep magic was written, that’s what I mean by old.
Anyway.
When did “proship” go from meaning “pro” as in “I support this” to “pro” as in “problematic” - I’m serious here people. Because proship is supposed to mean “I support all forms of fictional shipping” but the tags and the communities are all for “problematic” and “dark” ships.
Don’t misunderstand me; I support all forms of fiction writing and consumption. I may have my own, personal triggers and preferences, but I’m the last person that’s gonna censor fiction. I just want to know when the tide turned.
When did proshippers become the so-called enemy, the problem so to speak?
Makes me sad.
This is a safe space. 🫶🏻
