My Children's Last Hope: From Designer to Begging for Their Lives
I'm Tareq. More than a year and a half ago, I created beautiful designs. Today I design survival plans for my 3 children - my wife Samar, and our children: Sham (7), Masa (4), and baby Wateen (1.5), who was born under bombardment. We had a home, dreams, and routines. Sham loved kindergarten and should be in 2nd grade now. Masa should be starting her education. Instead, they're surviving day-to-day in unimaginable conditions.
The War Stole Everything
❌ Our home was completely destroyed in Nov 2023
❌ 11 forced displacements between bombed-out buildings and makeshift tents
❌ Living in a rotting tent that can’t block summer heat or winter cold
❌ No electricity since the war began (Oct 2023)
❌ Constant hunger: Our children suffer from malnutrition
❌ Bathing in contaminated water causing painful skin diseases on all children
❌ Masa (4) cries holding her empty stomach - her malnutrition makes even water painful to digest
❌ Baby Wateen has never known life without bombs
❌ Most essential necessities are unavailable - bread flour, clean water, milk, cheese, fruits and vegetables, baby diapers, and more
The Cost of Survival:

I am Samah,I am 34 years old from Gaza, but I am married in Egypt. I used to live in EgyptI have two twin children who are now two years old.
I went to Gaza to visit my family two months before the war, but unfortunately I was detained there with my family. I could not return because the travel coordination is very expensive. My children and I live a very difficult life. We suffer a lot. We were forced to flee several times and I lived in tents. I cannot provide the most basic needs for my children. Now I want to return to my husband, but I cannot return because of the difficult financial conditions. We are suffering here with everything from water, food, and cold. When I came to Gaza, I did not bring many things with me. I had to buy some clothes, but they have become very expensive. Please help me and my children survive. Please help me get out and return to my husband. I trust you and your generosity.

I contemplate the happy faces of people around me here in Ireland and reminisce about the happy normal life my family and I had before the war. A life that turned into a distant memory for us and was replaced by an unending series of horrible nightmares.
Unlike my family in Gaza, people here have access to drinking water, all types of food, electricity, and a roof over their heads. Above all, they are safe, and I cannot help but wonder if they genuinely do appreciate these blessings in their lives enough.
People seem relaxed and laughing wholeheartedly around me in Ireland. I wish I could laugh too, but I am crushed way beyond recovery on the inside. I was evacuated by my Irish college after five months of living the horrors of war in Gaza. I hope you will never know what it feels like to live in constant fear and worry and be horrified by the most sickening and scary nightmares every single night while you are far away from your family in such circumstances.
When did my people in Gaza cease to be human beings worthy and deserving of a normal life? Has it become normal now for my family in Gaza to be starved and killed while the whole world is watching the genocide? If that is the case, then you will have to excuse me if I seek every avenue to bring them to Ireland and start a new normal life like all people here around me.
I was assured by the Irish Reugee Council (IRC) and lawyers in Ireland that there is hope I can reunite with my family in Ireland. In difficult times, it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. For me and my family, you are literally our light and hope for a better life.

You know it would be crazy that in an alternate universe, humans managed to get transformers cna and decided to create techno-organic soldiers and slaves.
