take me with you. : road trip plot where muse a and muse b are like college roommates/best friends x1000 like they practically spend every moment with each other and everything and stay up all night watching reruns of their favorite shows, sharing almost every meal bc they’re cheap like that and don’t mind, having shitty jobs with huge dreams and all that. muse a has a long distance high school sweetheart bf/gf who moved across country for school/job and when their relationship starts to strain, muse a reallllly feels strongly about driving across country to see them to try and fix things (they also might suspect the person is cheating on them). flying ain’t an option bc they’re intensely scared of being in the air & also they have no car. that’s where their partner in crime, muse b comes in. muse b has the car, soundtrack, and the navigational skills, muse a has the money, the lively company, and the snacks. they ditch classes for about a week or something and plan it out vaguely but end up just bullshitting the rest of the trip there.
attention: this is the MEAT of the plot!!!!! they go clubbing, visit lame museums, become extras in a movie, get kicked out of zoos/parks or some shit, stay in crappy motels, get stalked by someone who muse b is convinced a total psycho, attend festivals and act like total kids, are forced to take lots and lots and LOTS of detours, end up fixing the car once or twice, go camping in an abandoned barn/middle of nowhere/other shady place, crash random weddings, get arrested, almost start the apocalypse, and so much more.
of course tons of weird, sexual tension and maybe even some things happen on the trip that they don’t wanna speak about which kind of adds some tension there (hell tbh they might not even reach their destination and decide to turn around) BUT if they make it to where they need to go in a matter of what was supposed to be a week trip ( now probably 2 or 3), muse a goes looking for their long distance bae when they get there and then gets their heart broken while muse b is there to help pick up the pieces. and then muse b picks this time when they’re gong back home to confess how they’ve always loved muse a but the past week(s) they’ve started to really, really fall in love with them and they don’t wanna ruin what they have and blah blah. muse a is confused, vulnerable but can’t deny that they’ve always felt this stronger connection with muse b compared to everyone else in their lives. then the two of them start to figure out their lives from there and learn how to love and give and GROW and accept and celebrate and so many fluffy and angsty things. FUCK.
bonus points if:
it’s a f/f or m/m plot and they have to do a lot of coming out to each other and then to family and friends back home
muse a does not feel the same way when muse b confesses their love at first and they have a really big, emotional, enlightening blow-upppp
when/if they get back home, muse b’s ex comes back in their life and becomes an obstacle between them and muse a

the crew of the x1 andromeda left for their mission three months ago with the intention of being the first team to land on a planet outside of the solar system. their goal was a planet in proxima centauri. as the team sailed through the void of space there was nothing but darkness in their path. at first they thought that there were no stars in the direction they were headed, but when the darkness surrounded them they realized they were in the midst of something their calculations could not predict.
the moment the solar system behind them disappeared the team was suddenly overwhelmed by headaches and each person collapsed. in the space between consciousness and crash landing each team member experienced visions of the past and future. important moments from their lives and people that they had left behind suddenly flashed into a view and then disappeared. and when they awoke they found themselves in their ship: crumpled and on fire .
they exited the ship to find that they crash landed on to the surface of a planet covered in life. their ship demolished the deciduous forest and nearly collided with the mountain rising in front of them. above them a large moon and a nearby planet loomed on the horizon. no one knew where they were but two things were conclusive: this planet is alive and this planet is not the earth that they left behind.
WORMHOLE is a literate skeleton roleplay inspired by sci fi media like Interstellar, The Martian, Annihilation, Gravity, and Sunshine. This rp is intended to focus on the relationships between co-workers who are forced into long-term close proximity. Themes include: the weight of responsibility, our relationship to our planet, and how linear time affects our perception.

the girls’ night out job was so much fun, the boys’ night out is just…chaotic as hell but hardison & eliot bickering continues to be my brand
for the self-conscious beginner: No one makes great things until the world intimately knows their mediocrity. Don’t think of your writing as terrible; think of it as preparing to contribute something great.
for the self-conscious late bloomer: Look at old writing as how far you’ve come. You can’t get to where you are today without covering all that past ground. For that, be proud.
for the perfectionist: Think about how much you complain about things you love—the mistakes and retcons in all your favorite series—and how you still love them anyway. Give yourself that same space.
for the realist: There will be people who hate your story even if it’s considered a classic. But there will be people who love your story, even if it is strange and unpopular.
for the fanfic writer: Your work isn’t lesser for not following canon. When you write, you’ve created a new work on its own. It can be, but does not have to be, limited by the source material. Canon is not the end-all, be-all.
for the writer’s blocked: It doesn’t need to be perfect. Sometimes you have to move on and commit a few writing sins if it means you can create better things out of it.
for the lost: You started writing for a reason; remember that reason. It’s ok to move on. You are more than your writing. It will be here if you want to come back.
