the tundren (race name subject to change).

there lives a race of creatures not quite in the syloverse.

they are akin to dreamwalkers, as they don't exist. however, they do not belong to naochtren.

they speak in tunes, singing their language not in words, but in emotions and images.

their race is a simple one. they travel the syloverse, telling stories they see and sharing emotions they feel.

they need not eat nor drink; they need only interaction with another.

they feed off of—and share—emotions. if they are alone for too long, they dissapear. they call this phenomenon "the empty"; when devoid of emotion, they fade away, crumble to dust, etcetera. although the method varies, the end result is the same. none of them know where they go after the empty.

as such, they are a very social people, requiring interaction and emotion not only to keep their race alive, but to tell the stories of the syloverse to future generations.

they are the timekeepers.

the only interaction they have outside of themselves is that of the hooded figure. due to his power, he can see, hear, and somewhat interact with them.

he listens to their stories, and occasionally tells them his own.

fun fact about me: I don't usually classify my emotions as happy or sad; that's just to oversimplify what I feel.

my emotions are colors and shapes, with textures every once in a while. very rarely do they have tastes, though.

yes it gets very confusing. example: tried whole grain bread for the first time when I was around 13 years old and felt grey-ish lime green smooth almost non-euclidean trapezoid.

y'all, I have a request: throw me some music—preferably music with no words, since that makes it stronger.

for context, I use music to create characters, stories, and events. lately, I've pretty much run out of ideas, and music.

so if you have any music you'd recommend, I'd be happy to try it out.

no I will not translate my made-up languages for you.

there's a few different types of non-existence in the syloverse. I may not be good at explaining them, but I'll try.

NE type 1: no physical matter in the space, but existence is still there.

NE type 2: existence itself isn't in the space, but it still takes up the space in existence.

NE type 3: overlaps existence, taking up no space, nor being able to interact with it (although similar, this is different from being in a different dimensional layer).

NE type 4: ehu vzuw orou slex o tloux. naochtren.

I'm struggling really bad right now.

not because of depression or anxiety or anything like that—I'm fairly used to that by now.

what I mean is whether or not I should slowly and gradually share my characters through the stories I have yet to complete.

OR

if I should just throw them at y'all and get it over with, giving me even less incentive to finish writing and fleshing out my stories.

if you have a recommendation for what course of action I should take, please feel free to tell me, because I am indecisive as fuck and don't know what to do.

Andrew gasped, breathing heavily. "What- Where am I?" Pulling down his arm, he clutched at his heart that he felt stop just moments ago, a bullet having dug its way into the organ and tearing it apart. But clearly he wasn't dead, right?

"... Huh?" His heart wasn't beating. Pausing, he sat up and put a finger to his wrist. Likewise, he had no pulse. "Right… I'm in some random field that seems to go on for miles, and I'm apparently a dead man walking. Great." Andrew stood up. As he looked ahead towards the rising sun, he caught a glimpse of something that looked vaguely like a city.

aight, I know y'all are not even the slightest bit curious as to what all these colors that I use for my characters mean, so I'll tell you anyways:

blue is for happy and/or excited emotions.

red is for distressed and/or angry emotions.

green is for sad and/or depressing emotions.

pink is for floaty, wistful, and/or thoughtful emotions.

orange is for protective emotions.

purple is for determined emotions.

black/white is for straightforward or any other emotions that couldn't make the roster.

I sit in the rafters, waiting to strike. my target is right below me. I look up, and give left the signal.

we pounce, not making a sound. left takes out both guards in a single swift movement, cutting both of them clean down the middle.

I take out the target, landing silently behind them before snapping their neck with ruthless efficiency.

I look over at all of the blood on the floor. "tsk. you're always so messy, left."

left looks at the bloodied bodies of what was once the guards, then at the target. "and you don't know how to have a little fun. come on right, you have those blades for a reason!"

I chuckle and hold out my hand. the blood starts swirling towards me before stopping in front of my hand. "don't worry, left; I know other ways to have fun."

I grab the target and left erases the guards before we're both teleported to our client. "assassination complete, as per our deal." I drop the target at the client's feet.

the client looks at it a bit, before looking satisfied and takes out a bag. "alright. here's your payment."

left takes the bag and opens it up. I can see her eyes sparkle a bit before closing it back up. "okay, everything's there. thanks for your business."

left and I teleport back home. once we get there, left takes out the bag.

I look at it inquisitively. "say, I wasn't there when you accepted that guy's commission, so I'm a little curious as to what the payment was."

left looks up at me, a devious grin slowly creeping up her face. "oh, don't worry, my poor little right. you'll find out later."

"wait, you don't mean..." a shiver runs down my spine.

left looks on at me. her breathing is starting to become erratic. "actually, forget later—I wanna do it now!"

left pulls out what was in the bag: a large chunk of vernium. my breathing starts becoming shaky. "left, are you...?"

left starts dangling the vernium in front of my face, taunting me with it.

a slight smile starts to play at the corners of my mouth. before long, I'm grinning ear to ear, my breaths shallow and erratic.

"alright then, left. I guess I can play your little game for a bit."

"I've been wondering..."

lumine doesn't move, but I can tell she's listening.

"I've only ever seen you sitting here. you never seem to go anywhere or do anything. why is that?"

lumine slightly glances over at me. "because I'm waiting."

a confused look slowly creeps across my face. "waiting for what?"

lumine goes back to looking out at the horizon. "not for what."

"y'know," I say, "you can wait while doing other things."

lumine shakes her head. "if I go, I'll be known."

"people already know you exist" I say, throwing up my hands in exasperation. "travelling and actually having fun every once in a while isn't gonna be the end of the syloverse."

lumine turns her head to look at me; something she rarely does. "you don't know how important my role is. I wait here until my time is right."

I let out a long sigh. "fine, fine. if you wanna be so boring as to never step foot off your damn balcony, I'll leave ya to it. but be careful... I might just push you off one day."

lumine chuckles slightly before looking back to the horizon. "once my role has has been played, I'd love to travel with you."

I turn to walk out the door. "yeah yeah. keep on waiting, you raging water."

"see you then, bluejay."

"so, how've you been?"

I glance at sat, a perplexed look spreading across my face. "what do you mean? you've been by my side this whole time."

sat looks on at the sky. "I may have been by your side while you were in the deepest sleep, but I wasn't by your mind. I can tell something happened in there. you haven't quite been yourself, lately. you've been quieter, and glancing around more. I feel you shaking when I embrace you, and your voice doesn't carry the liveliness it once had."

sat sits up and looks at me, wearing a fearful expression. "sun, I'm worried for you. please, I know it's a selfish request, but I just want to know how I can help you. if I can help..."

I lay back down, my gaze cast upon the skies. "let me tell you a story..."

[ ??? ] the calm before the storm... I've always been fond of storms. they're strong, wild, and fleeting. the calm before the storm is soft and quiet, but fleeting all the same.

[ ??? ] will I be as fleeting as those rainy days I admire? or will another carry on my legacy?

[ ??? ] ...either way, it's not my job to wonder about stuff like that.

[ ??? ] my job is to run.

"There's been a breach." Adrian looks at Arianna.

Arianna looks on at Adrian. "What do you mean? This place is made to prevent breacher energy from coming in, this is the most secure spot in this story, and we're at the farthest possible point from civilization; how could your watch detect a breach here of all places?"

Adrian simply turns around and says "step outside."

The door closes, and Arianna is left with a puzzled look.

"Something happen?" I ask.

Arianna turns to look at me. "Maybe. I'll go outside real quick, see if Adrian is telling the truth or just fucking with me."

Arianna walks over to the door and turns the handle. But as soon as the door was cracked open, Arianna was flung back into the wall, with Andromeda following suit shortly after. Needless to say, Andromeda and Shaper were both awake now.

What… happened? Andromeda communicated, before her eyes widened. This… this power… Andromeda was having trouble moving her hands.

I took initiative and shut the door. Both Andromeda and Arianna seemed to lose the pressure that was put on them.

[ sylo ] alrighty then. the structure's been explained to the best of my abilities.

[ sylo ] I most likely won't be doing anymore large-scale explanations like that again. so if you wanna learn anything else, just ask.

[ sylo ] alrighty then, let's talk about the structure of the syloverse.

[ Sylo ] Alrighty Then, Let's Talk About The Structure Of The Syloverse.

[ sylo ] the syloverse is split up into 3 main verses: the syloverse, the jumbleverse, and the dyroverse, with the wall separating the dyroverse from everything else.

[ Sylo ] Alrighty Then, Let's Talk About The Structure Of The Syloverse.

[ sylo ] so, let's talk about the syloverse first, for obvious reasons. it's a sort of "perfect timeline" situation, where everything is in chronological order of events.

[ sylo ] it's split up into segments, with each maker having their own section (you'll learn about the makers in section 4C of the syloverse guide).

[ Sylo ] Alrighty Then, Let's Talk About The Structure Of The Syloverse.

[ sylo ] so far, there are 26 makers, and 24 sections—though, this is susceptible to change.

[ sylo ] now, each section has stories that the makers write. that's where the makers' creativity is located. stories operate in a strange fashion; whenever a story ends, the maker can either add onto it, reset it sending the story back to the beginning to play again, or leave it be and have it play out past its original ending.

[ sylo ] in-between these stories is where the inhabitants live, located in what they like to call "the hub." it's filled with shops, restaurants, etcetera. but the maker in the section has the final say about what goes on in their section.

[ Sylo ] Alrighty Then, Let's Talk About The Structure Of The Syloverse.

[ sylo ] of course, there is one section that is unclaimed by any makers, leaving the inhabitants to do and build whatever they wish without anyone telling them they can't. well, except for themselves.

[ sylo ] anyways, back on topic. the next one is the jumbleverse. now, the jumbleverse is strikingly similar to the syloverse, except that it's chronology is all messed up. time doesn't really flow the same throughout it, so whatever I've made for the future of the syloverse can interact with the past of the syloverse, and vice versa. this applies to any points in time in the jumbleverse.

[ Sylo ] Alrighty Then, Let's Talk About The Structure Of The Syloverse.

[ sylo ] it's essentially just a giant mess of all the ideas me and... hmm... he doesn't really have a name... well, let's just call them chuni for simplicity's sake. it's filled with ideas me and chuni came up with, with almost no regard to chronology. although the ideas that come from it are implemented into the syloverse after sorting them out, the jumbleverse is basically a crapshoot of anything we can think of that could be a good addition to the syloverse.

[ sylo ] not many people know about it, though. so far, only chuni, the snap, the entity, and myself know about and can travel to it. although rich—the butler of faces—does have dreams about it since he's based off of a creator.

[ sylo ] and now there's the dyroverse. the dyroverse is essentially a "what could've gone wrong did go wrong" kind of situation. there are no stories, as the makers haven't quite been established, so essentially, everywhere is a hub. although there are territories that some gangs and other organizations have.

[ Sylo ] Alrighty Then, Let's Talk About The Structure Of The Syloverse.

[ sylo ] it's supposed to be a sort of "dark syloverse" but the only people that are in both the syloverse and the dyroverse are my family. the dyroverse doesn't have anyone else from the syloverse.

[ sylo ] and last, but certainly not least, is the wall. now, the wall is a very important structure, as it greatly reduces breaches in the syloverse, and keeps the dyroverse at bay. it's an omnipresent force that envelops the syloverse to ensure that it's protected, and that nobody can get in or out (although there are very few exceptions to this). inside the wall, however, things are a little less friendly. the wall is home to what we call the "thoughts." they're horrid creatures who twist and crawl and shimmy and dangle and fly and levitate and kill and maim and wring and tear and scrape and rend and-

HEY! get it together, man. you've got a job to do.

[ sylo ] *shudder* ah, sorry, I was getting a bit worked up.

[ sylo ] anyways, they're horrific abominations that come from inside the wall. they only escape because of breaches; cracks in the wall that allow them to slip out.

[ Sylo ] Alrighty Then, Let's Talk About The Structure Of The Syloverse.

[ sylo ] you'd think that me being all-fucking-powerful that I'd be able to do something about this, but the wall is apparently out of my power's jurisdiction. and the snap doesn't wanna do anything about it. says "it's fun. it spices things up a bit." well I don't just want to sit by and watch my people die.

[ sylo ] *long sigh* well, that's pretty much all there is to know about the structure of the syloverse so far. I hope you enjoyed it. I'll rarely be getting into the jumbleverse (if at all), and the dyroverse will be talked about more, albeit scarcely. the syloverse is the main focus for my stories, so that's the one I'll be talking about the most.

[ sylo ] see y'all later.

[ Sylo ] Ah, I See The Poll Is Done. Let's Look At The Resu-

[ sylo ] ...damn... not gonna lie that hurt a little.

aw, come on syloboy, you've still got a story to tell. it's about time people learned of our works, y'know?

[ sylo ] yeah, but... feku sibd, my feelings. well, I guess I can't complain. people will learn what they want, and if they don't want me, then who am I to shove it down their throats? STRUCTURE IT IS THEN! lemme just, figure out how to form cohesive sentences while talking about this... I'll get back to you guys about this in a bit. see y'all soon!
