Welcome to the 2024 hiatus rewatch!

Starting January 1st, we will be watching two episodes per week (Monday - Sunday). These can be watched at any point throughout the week. Complete rewatch schedule can be found below the cut!

Reminders of which episodes we will be watching each week will be posted on Sunday around noon CST. On Monday, a discussion post will go live that you can reply to if you want to talk to your fellow rewatchers, as well as a list of any fanfics that are tagged on AO3 with the episode number.

We encourage anyone participating to live blog, share their thoughts, scream about their favorite parts, or post any newly created fanworks about the episode using #911 lone star rewatch 2024

Random FanFic question, 9-1-1

Does anyone else write that May and Y/N are like childhood besties. He helped him through her depression when she was getting bullied.

They're so close, they're practically siblings. They joke about how they're sister/brother together.

May is still a Dispatcher. Y/N, he's a firefighter for the 118, and they both get up to some crazy unrealistic storylines together.

Like, the most recent things I wrote between these two were:

1. Y/N was at a call, and, he gets stuck in a VR room for several hours, and it kinda warps his brain a bit between reality and non IRL life, but, May is on the radio, helping Y/N keep his cool as best as he can.

2. May gets this weird call, a hidden message, so Y/N and May stay up all night figuring out the puzzle, and, it leads to someone being trapped down a mine shaft, in a middle of a mountain, so they go explore the caves in the mountain, until they find the person who sent the original phone call

Or is this just a me thing?

In my opinion, Dating Mateo Chavez would include:

- Marvel Movie Marathons

Mateo wouldn't just ask for hugs, but whenever he needs one, he'll put Marvel on so that you and him would have hugs

- Playing Pokemon Go

If you tell this man that you want to get out more, he will personally downland the app onto your phone and take you through his favourite routes

- Date Nights

He would rather stay in and cuddle on the sofa, but if you wanted to go out and do something else, he wouldn't say no.

- Your collections

If you collect things, like pokemon cards, Marvel figurines, Legos, Pop Figures. This guy will have a list of everything you currently have, what you want, and what you still haven't brought

- Matching PJ's

When you say that he looks nice in his Captain America PJ's. He will go out of his way to Bucky/Winter Soldier PJ's so that you two could match

- Fanfics

He would read fanfics with you in bed at night, doesn't matter what it is, Fluff, Angst, Smut. All of it, and then he'll try to prove that he can do what you two just read if it was smut.

I know it's about the strikes, but I can't live without Grey's 😱

First TMA, (Tutor Marked Assessment) back. I got 90%. Ahh!

What Would Happen if Y/N committed Suicide:

TK: Would Move back to New York, there's too many memories in Austin. Every street. Every Road. Reminds him of his once beloved Novio.

Carlos: Would spend half his time in New York, trying to keep an eye on TK. The other half, in Austin being a cop.

Mateo: Would be crying for days, and weeks. He would eventually quit the station, spending most time at Nancy's. Visiting Y/N'a grave once a week, and tell him everything that's happened since the last time he sat with Y/N. Hours at a time.

Owen: Would try his hardest to try and keep TK in Austin, and Mateo at the job, when he failed to do both for both his 'son's', he wouldn't quit his job, he would become more reckless at work.

Judd: Would take a week off to process everything and then come back and try to help Owen at the Station. Try to show him that there is a way past the grief.

Marjan: Would become quieter and more reserved. Eventually moving back to LA. Joining the 118.

Paul: Would try to stay at the station for a couple months. Until TK, Mateo and Marjan have all left, and then he wouldn't find the station a happy place, he would find it to be just filled with the memories of what felt like a past life, so he would switch stations.

Nancy: Would stay at the Station. Working a lot of double shifts, so that she can push past her feelings and also afford to keep her and Mateo alive.

Vega: Would take a personal hit with Y/N's death, and everyone moving away. But, she wouldn't. She would bury herself in work, in her faith, the bible, church. And, become a super overprotective mum of her twin girls.

Grace: She would bury herself more in her religion also, spending a lot of time at church, praying.

Just a random thought that popped in my mind. Does anyone have any thoughts about this FanFic idea?

Leo Buckley- Strand, the biological link between the Buckley’s and the Strand's. No one knows where he fits in the family, Leo doesn't know where he fits in the world. When Leo was four he was rescued by the Allentown police department, and from there, a DNA test was conducted, Owen and Buck both came back positive, but as brothers and cousins, they did another test, that time they were uncle’s. Leo's recently received a package from the post, it's a baby and a mom in a hospital bed. At the back, it says Leo, First Day. But no one recognised this woman. So, now he has a decision, should he investigate and find out what happened or just consider the package as a joke, a prank.

"Just a quick question, which someone might know. How the fuck did Jack pay for firefighter school? Cause, that shit is expensive. And, he was in and out of foster homes, so I assume that he wouldn't be able to have a job, to earn the money. So, how did he pay for it?
