I don't understand this one. When did she misgendered your closest friend? Not being offensive. And I don't understand the term 'misgendered' correctly. Do you mean she used another pronouns for your friend or is it something else? Again I am saying, not being offensive. I just need an answer.

Well, how are you all? Hope fine! I saw many posts like this, so thought of doing it today. If anyone likes Shasta here, then don't think I hate you. I just don't like the ship. I do am a multishipper, but there's a huge age gap between them, so that's why.

The Human Castle
The three were now in the place of humans, which the merman, or the teen, hadn't seen in his whole life. The queen covered her face, telling the teen to not see around so much, while holding his brother's hand. There were fruit stalls, fish stalls, and many more. Whenever he looked at any fish stall, it reminded him of Skarra. He shifted his mind off from that and focused on learning the way to the castle. After sometime, they reached to the castle doors.
"Greetings, warriors.", the queen greeted. "We are traders, who do trading of perfumes. We just came here to try our luck on the king, if you both allow us to go inside.", she said, smiling at them. "Is this your child?", one the warriors asked while pointing at the prince. "Well, he is my little brother. I and him live alone, so wherever I go, he comes with me.", answered the queen.
The other warrior was starring at the teen, who was watching the design made all over those huge doors.
"What are you starring at?", he asked. "Just starring at those wonderful designs made on these doors.", Shakes answered. "Haven't you seen designs like those before?" "No." came a quick reply. "Shall we go in now?" asked the queen. "You may go." said the warriors, or guards, whatever they are called.
The trio entered, keeping their eyes at the front, but still, aware that a lot of eyes were on them. Yes, eyes of the men and a few women sitting at the court, and the other guards present there. The king looked at them, and then smiled, breathing in the underated smell coming from the carrier. Good that the queen had wrapped her half face with a cloth, so that the king can't see her full face.
'Now, time to act just like how the queen showed me.', thought the teen, and bowed before the king. "Greetings, your majesty.", he said as the other two too bowed down. "It's a great pleasure to meet you." added the prince. "We are perfume traders, trading and selling of perfumes is our job. We are here to try our luck in here by selling you these perfumes, if you like them.", ended the queen. 'The queen is really experienced in such matters.', ran a thought through the teen's head. "Sure sure. I would like to." said the king, as the clothe was removed from the carrier and the fragrance filled the environment with amazing freshness and calmness.
The queen took one of the bottles out from the carrier, walking upto the king with happiness and excitement. She opened the bottle once she was near enough to the king. The king leaned, taking the sweet fragrance into his chest.
"Nice." complimented the king. "Knew that you would like it." said the queen as she smiled and took another bottle to the king.
This time, it was a total different one, a fragrance the king remembered, and memories flashed in front of him.
'Oh dear! See what you have done. I'm covered in sand now!!'
'This is your favourite scent, right love?'
'We will always be lovers, even if when we are old aged.'
"Ummm, your majesty?", a call came from the queen, who was confused. "Ah! Sorry, it's just, this scent reminds me of something..." "Something or someone?" a quick whispered question came from the queen, before she goes to get some more scents. "Wait.", voice came from the king. "I want to buy the one you have in your hands.", he said. "Sure.", she said, before handing it over to the king and bowing. "How much is this of?" "How much sand is there on the shores?", a kind of replied - question came back from the queen. "What?" a question came. "Just joking, how much would you like to give?" she said. "I guess joking around with the king isn't good for you." one of the people in the court advised.
Aish, he actually needed a nice answer.
"And I think that you shouldn't tell what I should do." a total perfect answer came from the queen.
That made the king, guards, and a few people sitting in the court giggle. Of 'coures, that made the man angry.
"I see, you have no fear of what he can do, you do?" a lady said sitting in the court, smiling. "She has more power than him." a true answer came from Shakes. "I really wanted to hear that, specially from a man." she said, happy from the answer she got. "Now if you all allow the king to say something." the prince said. The king commanded, "Guard, bring a handful of gold coins in a small bag." "And it should be untouched by hands." the prince added.
That line made the guard and the queen laugh. After sometime the guard comes back, handing the bag to the king. The king gave it to the queen.
"Thank you ~" said the queen and goes back with the two to their another mission. "Wait." commanded the lady. "Do come back tomorrow. I also want some." "Ok!" answered the prince and then they left.
Now time to find Shakes' lover, Skarra...
Finally made Shakes!!! Didn't expect to be so good though. Hope you like it!

Training
The three go up, to a quiet shore, with no human around. The young prince sits on a rock, while the queen and the merman sit on the sand.
"Now," said the queen while opening the little cyan glass container, "drink one drop of this portion, and then you'll see a magic." ordered the queen. "Ok." said the merman before drinking the portion.
The merman 's cyan scales started to turn to his skin colour, and his vision blurred. The end of his tail started to divide in two and he felt a bit weird at his ears. The queen closed her eyes, turning the other way, and the same was done by the prince. And no longer, was Shakes a merman. He got surprised, looking at his lower body. It was of a man's!
"The clothes are kept there, wear it." said the queen before pointing to the clothes kept over a rock behind him.
He splashed some ocean water in his eyes, by which his vision returned to normal. He took the clothes and wore it.
"Done." said the merman. The queen turned and complimented, "You look nice in it." "Cool." added the young prince. "Thanks." "Now, time for your training." said the queen, wearing the clothes and then drinking the portion. "This way, you won't turn into your human form naked."
The queen stood up, taking support of a rock beside her.
"Now, try to stand up just like me." she demanded. "O- okay, I will try." said the merman, trying to get up with the support of the rock behind him.
And then, he fell.
"Ouch, it hurts." he complained. "It's ok, it happens in the first few tries." she comforted.
The merman, who was now a man, tried again and again. After a few tries, he was standing with the support.
"I did it!" the teen exclaimed with happiness. "Good, now try to walk. Or just take a step." said the queen.
The teen's legs were wobbly, but he still tried, and then he was able to walk. Then he tried to walk totally normal, like his human lover, Skarra used to in front of him. The teen succeed. Then the queen asked him to run, and showed him how to by running on her own. He tried, but his foot twisted a bit and he fell. He didn't got a sprain, and got up, trying to do it again. The little prince clapped, trying to encourage Shakes, to which Shakes was thankful. After a few minutes, he started to run, rather fast.
"Wow, you run very fast." complimented the amazed queen. "Thanks, Skarra ran like that too." "Who's Skarra?" asked the queen. "My lover..." answered the teen, with down shoulders and a frown. "So now, let's continue." said the queen, before jumping in the ocean and after a while, bringing a big box of perfumes or scents with her. "You will go to the castle, saying that you are from a far away kingdom, and sell him these scents. He will surely buy the ones inside the red bottles, they are his favourite. Now hold this." ordered the queen before handing the box to the teen. "I thought these are going to be very heavy." said the confused teen. "They are heavy, you are just a bit stronger." said the queen, pouting.
She really wanted to be strong like him.
"Sooo, should I go now?" he asked. "You should go now, I will be with you, and you will go with me, little brother" said the queen.
The prince drank one drop of the portion and hid behind the rock he was sitting on. Then he wore his lower clothes and got out, and got complimented by the two. Then they go, to the kingdom, to fulfill their actual mission.
Hey friends, how are you all? Hope fine! I want to tell you all that its gonna take me some time to update since I have a few tasks to do. And also, tomorrow is my sweet brother's birthday. Well, on 21 May. So, I will leave for now.

The Shores
The next day, Shakes swam with his mother to the castle again, gaining the attention of a lot of merpeople, mostly mermaids.
"Hey!" called out a mermaid to Shakes. "Umm, yes?" said the merman. "What's your name?" asked the mermaid. "My name's Shakes Mokena. Why that question?" asked the merman, a bit curious. "Just wanted to ask. You don't know much about this castle , do you?" "No." came the quick answer. "Sorry, but I have to go now. The queen and I have something to talk on." said the merman, swimming away from the mermaid, while his curiosity died down.
He enters the room, where he was greeted by the little prince in there. He took him in the secret room and closed the secret room's door. When both of them reach there, they see the queen pouring the portion inside a small-cyan coloured glass, attached to a thick thread, like a necklace.
"Welcome, Shakes." greeted the queen. "I made this for you. Inside of this is the portion." "When will it's effect end?" a quick question came. "Depends on when you take it. It works for 12 hours, but if you don't take it on early morning before the sun rises, then you will turn into your true self when you come in the sunlight." explained the queen. She added, "Now, come with me to the shore, you have to learn a few things before going between that human world." "Yes queen." agreed the merman. "Can I come too sister?" asked the excited prince. "Sure, little brother."

A Nice Lie
"My story? Well, my mother always said to not swim near the shores, and I never listened to her. So then, one day, I got trapped inside a fishing net. It was my love's. When he pulled me out, he was surprised, and same was with me. He was the first human I had ever seen. He got me out of the net, then carried me. He was warm though, welp, then he left me me in the water. We talked and talked, and slowly I started to love him in a whole different way. It was like - it was like something was going on between us, and then I fell in love with him. Whenever he sailed off in his ship, I would wave at him, and sometimes I saw his friends, but they never saw me, nor my love told them anything about me. Yeah, he would always see me with that wooden thing of his (he means telescope), he told me he could see far away from it. But then, he also fell in love with me. We became lovers of eachother. But, one day we had to break ties, since I knew at one side that the human world was cruel, not everyone there was good. My sister called me, and I had to go. But before going, he gave me one of his earing, as a memory of him, and after that, I swam away. I never met him after that. Never. It has been just eight days, but it hurts a lot to me. Alot.." ended the sad merman with his sad story.
Again, a silence spread in the environment. The queen got up, going near the shelf of books near the bed. She pushes one of the books, revealing a secret door behind.
"Follow me." ordered the queen, before going inside the door.
The merman follows her inside the door. It revealed a small-lab type place, where numerous portions and herbs weer available. The queen mermaid swam near a particular portion, which was of cyan and colour, before turning.
"This is a special portion, which can turn merperson into human, and human into merperson. I made it just few days ago. I had made this the first time when I met the king, and it still does works. The work I was talking about was you to go to the human world, on the shores, and find that king. Tell him that I am still here, underwater, waiting. During that, you can meet your lover too." finished the queen. Shakes thought, then answered, "I will do this. When should we start?" "I will give you some information, since I know more than you. You will go tomorrow. Is that okay with you?" "Yes, queen. " came the response from the merman, who had now hopes to meet his lover again.
Then he left after a few hours with his mother. When they reached, she asked him what the queen said, but he didn't tell everything. He just told her that the queen was giving him a mission to start from tomorrow. And they took some tests. He said that he had to go to the neighbouring kingdoms to get some information. Yeah, a nice lie.
Hey if you don't mind me asking, if writer celine is the original author of the mermaid au for Sharra where are they now? And i heard from another person that they always tried to keep the fandom alive before they suddenly disappeared here on tumblr so im just confused
I also don't know my dear. They just suddenly disappeared, and it happened in my absence. That's why I had asked if I should continue the story in my style, or is it wrong. They was a very lovely, nice friend of mine. Their last post was probably them saying that they will leave, I guess. I'm not sure na.
Queen's Story
The next morning, the merman woke up, hungry. He hadn't eaten anything from yesterday. He gets up and notices something on his hand, which was his lover's earing. It makes him smile a little, but it soon faded away, as he thought that he will never meet him again. There were no hopes in him on meeting him again. He wears it on his middle finger, and goes in the kitchen. He saw salted sea weeds, his favourite dish kept near the sink on a plate. The dish hadn't gone bad, so he ate it.
"So finnally you are hungry." said the mother, making the merman startle a bit. "For how long were you there?" came a question from the merman. "From the time you entered here." the answer came. She added, "Listen, you don't have any problem with going with me to castle, do you?" "But will the queen allow it?" came a quick question. "If you will help me with the chores." said the mother with a smile. "Fine."
And with that, they swim to the castle, which was not too far. When the young merman saw it, he got a bit surprised. He had heard about the castle, but never saw it. When he entered, there were many eyes on him. Shakes ignored it, focusing on the chores his mother was telling him to do.
"So first do the utensils in the kitchen, so you can see the kitchen there, then the cleaning of the corridors, so you can see the throne and the corridors. That's all I guess you should do for now." finished the mother. Shakes nodded before saying, "Okay, but one thing, where is the kitchen?" "Take right from here, then go straight, the second door will be the kitchen." answered the mother.
Then she swims to do her chores, but she didn't go too far from Shakes, if he needed any help. All did their chores, and then 10 minutes had passed, after which the queen came.
"The queen is coming!!" said a lady worker, by which everyone go at the sides, giving the way to the queen.
All the workers bow, but it didn't look like Shakes had heard them nor seen. He was lost in thinking of his love and doing the chores. The queen notices it, but she wasn't angry. She swims upto him, then pokes on his shoulder.
"Yes?" Shakes said as he turned around. "Do you need any help?" he continued. "No, I just wanted to ask something. Are you new here, or I just never noticed you?" the question came. "I came here to help my mother with her chores and for seeing this castle." a true answer came from the merman. "I can help you to see this castle more, if you do one thing for me. Will you do it?" asked the queen with a sweet smile. "It depends on what you want me to do." "Will you take a view of my head?" asked the queen while giggling. An emotionless answer came from the merman, "I've already seen it, queen."
All were shocked by the answer, specially the queen, since it had happened 2-3 times that the new workers didn't knew the queen, and then would bow quickly when they would come to know, but shakes didn't do that. Shakes half bowed and faced the other way.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have some work to do, queen." said the merman as he swam away to do his chores. "This merman is different, where is his mother?" asked the queen. "Me." said Shakes'mom as she came forward, keeping her head down. "Well, by your son's attitude, I guess he is capable to do a work of mine. Say a mission." "What?" shakes'mom said, surprised and her eyes widened. "Yes, it's the truth. After your chores are done, tell him the way of my room. I want to talk to him in personal." finished the queen as she left, leaving everyone in shock. "Girl, is your son not afraid of anything?" "He could have been punished!" "I don't care if I would or not, because I knew she wouldn't say anything. Queens have a lot of power, because of which no one talks to them leaving those who are at their level." said the young merman while swimming to the west wing corridors. "He's acting all weird, I don't know why..." said the mother quietly, but still, enough for everyone to hear, and swims away to do he chores.
Some time passes, and then Shakes' chores were finished, so he swims to view the castle more. He goes to the north wing, then the south, where he unexpectedly met the queen again.
"So we meet again, young merman." said the queen, continuing, "Are your chores done? If yes, then I would like to talk to you in personal." she said, waiting for the answer. "Well, fine. My chores are done. I will come with you." said Shakes, following the queen, who was now going to her room. "Be more respectful to her ok?" advised the mother in a low voice. Shakes just nodded his head, before entering the huge room.
"So this is your room?" came a question from the merman. "Yes." replied the queen. "Huh? Sister, who is this merman?" came a question from the little merman, who was viewing a picture on the wall. "He is Mrs. Mokena's son." she answered, and realised something. "Oh, by that, I still haven't asked your name. What is your name?" "Shakes Mokena." a quick reply came. "Oh! So you are the son of that nice maid! Nice to meet you!" said the little prince, smiling widely. Shakes just nodded and sat on a coral chair. "So, shall we talk about the topic?" a question came from the half emotionless merman. "Yeah, sure." the queen replied, sitting on another coral chair in front of the first one. "Have you ever gone near the shores?" the first question came. "Yes." a true answer came back. "Have you ever met a human there?" "Yes." a surprising answer came back. "REALLY!?" the surprised prince asked. "Yes, and if I am correct, you'll now ask me if I had fallen in love with that human, and the answer is yes." a heart breaking answer came from the merman. "It happened to me too, I fell in love with a man. He was a king." said the queen.
She stopped for a moment, thinking that why she was asking and telling him her story.
Shakes said, with a comforting face, "It's ok to tell me your story." "Are you a mind reader? You are answering the things I am thinking." "No I am not, but since you are asking me such questions, I feel that you might have felt that pain too."
The queen teared up. No, she couldn't take the pain anymore. The little merman hugged her sister, comforting her.
"Hey, it is okay. Don't cry. Don't cry." said the little prince while rubbing her back. She wiped her tears away, "Well, when I was just a princess, I once had gone to the shore, where I met the prince. He was scared, by which I was laughing. Slowly, he came near me, and poked me. Yes, he thought he was dreaming. Then I told him that I wasn't a dream and talked to him. We talked for a long time, then I left. But I wanted to talk to him more, so the next day, I gone to the shores again, and found him. He told me about his kingdom, his family and all, and I did the same. We became very nice friends, that was what I thought for a few months. As we grew, we became more. We became lovers. But one day, my mother saw me swimming near the shore, and called me. Later on she told me that humans were dangerous, long ago mermaids, mermans and humans were friends. But as time spent by, some humans started to use us. Because of which we had to break ties with them. My grandmother gave permission to live with humans to only those who were in love with them and had families. After that, no one was allowed to meet the humans. Me and my lover had to break ties. After that, since six years, I haven't met him." finished the queen with her sad story.
A silence was there in the environment. The queen was feeling better now. She smiled, which made the prince smile too.
The prince asked, "What is you story, Shakes?
AN: Yesterday I was struggling to save this, but since there was poor network, it didn't got saved. I was frustrated by that. Today I got to know that it was actually saved as a draft, but due to poor network I couldn't see it. Hope you like this part! Sayonara ~
Sadness
In the ocean, underwater, the merman sat on a rock, looking up, surrounded by multiple coloured corals, missing his love. From behind an old lady comes, keeping a hand on the young mermaid's shoulder, with a smile on her face.
"Hey son, come, I have made your favourite dish." "No." said the merman with an emotionless face. "I don't want to eat, I'm not hungry." he said with no light in his eyes. "Shakes, you didn't eat your breakfast, nor the lunch, atleast eat your dinner." said the mother with some hope that her son will come and eat. "No ma, I don't feel like eating. I will eat later." said the merman, facing his mother with a sweet, but a fake smile on his face. "So atleast come inside. You've been out for too long..." said the mother, who was now worried. "I will come later. You go." said the young merman, facing the other way.
The smile on his face faded away, with him again looking up. His mother goes inside, with a sad face, which was noticed by her 14 year old daughter.
"He said no, didn't he?" said the daughter with a little anger on her face. "Yes." said the mother, going inside the bedroom to sleep. She stopped, facing back to her daughter. "Do you have any idea what has happened to him?" The girl got lost into her thoughts, then answered, "One week ago, I found him near the shore." the little mermaid said, continuing to think the next. "The shore?" said the mother mermaid with doubt. "What was he doing there?" said the mother, raising an eyebrow. "I don't know, but he was doing something there, and before someone saw him, I called him back, by which he came but he was sad..." "Was someone there with him?" came a quick question from the mother. "No, no one was there." came the answer.
Shakes entered, disappointed.
"So you think I am so careless that I will let a human see me, huh?" he said. "No no son! I didn't meant that..." "But it looked like you meant it." said shakes, going into his room and closing the door. 'And you are correct.' thought Shakes.
The merman layed on his bed, and opened the drawer beside the bed, which revealed a small box, made with very strong, blue-green corals. He took that box and opened it, inside of which there was an earing, the only thing which made him smile a little. He took out the earing.
'I miss you.' thought the merman. 'I miss you so much, skarra...' he thought while keeping the box inside the drawer, and thinking that only, he slept, into dreams of him with his human lover...
