Virgil: sorry I can't come to the party tonight
Roman: ugh! Why?
Virgil:
Roman… but happy
Heyyyy...uh demus?👉👈
Uhhhm, idk if you meant to send this to me, or what the context was as theres no indication of anything specific, buuut sure, have some Demus :D
(They really do be like *heated staring intensifies*)
So about the thing I was talking about where Virgil gets amnesia when he becomes a light side of the happy times he had in the dark...
• it happens the day after accepting anxiety, when he wakes up after the only full night of sleep he's had in years
• Virgil seems to have changed a lot
• no one really knows how, but he has
• Janus appears in his room to talk to him
• when Virgil gets angry and lashes out, his eyes widen in horror
• he had heard rumours about the effect of switching sides, but he can't believe that it really happened, and to Virgil of all people.
• Virgil, his baby...
• ...he seemed to have forgotten about all of the fun and joy of living with the other darks
• didn't seem to remember the happiness of childhood at all
• it made Janus' chest ache
• when he tries to tell Virgil the truth of his past that has been wiped from his mind, he brushes it off, believing with all of his might that his time in the darkness was nothing but pain
• because that's what lights are supposed to believe, and vice versa
• and it seemed that Virgil was victim to that rule aswell
• Janus leaves to tell the other dark sides about the situation
• Remus, along with all of the other darks, is horrified
• Virgil had been the youngest out of all of them, and they had all pretty much raised him, but he was always closer to Jan and Remus than all of the others
• and that was all just... gone from his brain
• it was hard for their minds to wrap around
• all of the other darks tried to talk to him too, but he would just flat out refuse to talk to any of them
• after the Hogwarts episode, he dumped his old hoodie in the trash
• the dark sides found it, washed and ironed and and then kept it in a box
• when Virgil was little, they had all gifted him a metallic heart locket necklace that was painted black and purple
• they found that in the trash too
• it sits in the same box, on top of the folded hoodie
• even though Virgil despises them, because he literally has no other choice than to, there will always be a tiny, infinitesimal fondness for all several of his caregivers even if he can't see it
• the darks cling to hope that their Virgil, their baby, will remember the low they have for him one day
• it's wishful thinking, as it's almost completely completely impossible to get his old self back
• their are dozens of unsent letters mad by the others for Virgil, but they stayed hidden.
• none of them had the confidence to believe that Virgil would do as much as glance at them
• they miss him... so, so much
( >:) angst hee hee)

Like In Fairytales of Old for the fake title thing?
Virgil is a modern kind of witch. He doesn’t turn people into frogs, he doesn’t spend hours toiling over a bubbling cauldron, and anyone coming to him for a love spell gets not-so-politely shown the door. He also doesn’t much believe in fate, so for the most part, he ignores the fact that his grandma thinks it’s his destiny to “break the sleeping prince’s curse.” Whatever that’s supposed to mean.
But one night, he’s out in the woods, looking for elixir ingredients, and he stumbles on a clearing that reeks of old magic. In the middle of it, there’s a man sleeping, rooted to the ground by flowering vines that cover him. Some of them even seem to puncture his skin, and for a moment, Virgil is positive that the man is dead.
But his chest rises and falls. So Virgil approaches, and the moment he works up the nerve to actually touch the guy, the vines disappear, his wounds close, and his eyes snap open.
The man’s name is Logan. And evidently, he’s a prince from a different world. A different world that literally seems like it comes out of a fairy tale, because apparently that’s a thing.
Virgil takes him home, because what else is he supposed to do? He intends to set the man up with some kind of life and then send him on his way, but he finds himself getting attached way too quickly, and Logan doesn’t seem particularly inclined to leave him either. He’s so curious about how this world works, and maybe Virgil should find it annoying, but really, it’s just endearing, his thirst for knowledge.
They’re inching their way toward... something, when shit hits the fan; apparently, breaking the curse has set events in motion, and now, people from Logan’s world are crossing over into this one, looking for him, and not all of them are friendly.
Logan’s really smart, but he’s also one of the biggest idiots Virgil has ever met when it comes to his own safety. He’s going to have his work cut out for him if he wants to keep him alive. And maybe kiss him sometime. That’d be nice too.
You, uh, got something on your arm.
I wish I could tell you. It gets better. We get better.
TECHNICALLY SPEAKING. Janus is nocturnal. Snakes with their pupil like Janus has in his left pupil indicates them being nocturnal. Janus is nocturnal, case closed.

and then they kiss
