Help a Family in Need

I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Mohamad S., who is facing one of the most challenging times of his life. Mohamad is 37 years old and left his homeland in 2015 in search of a safer and better future. He’s a kind, hardworking man, and his small family has always been his greatest priority.

Living abroad, Mohamad has recently endured unimaginable loss and financial strain. Amidst the ongoing conflict in his homeland, his mother passed away, leaving behind his sister and her five young children—the last remaining members of his immediate family.

As the situation worsened, Mohamad managed to help his sister and her children escape to safety in Egypt, covering their immediate needs and securing a temporary refuge for them. Since then, he has been fully responsible for providing everything they need to survive during this transition.

In his efforts to support his family and cope with this devastating loss, Mohamad has found himself deeply in debt. To make matters even more difficult, he recently underwent knee surgery, which limits his ability to return to work for the foreseeable future. This has made it even harder for him to manage his financial responsibilities and the pressing need to provide his family with a stable future.

Mohamad is now working to bring his sister and her five children to join him in Belgium, where he hopes they can find stability and opportunity after all they’ve endured. This transition, however, requires significant resources that he is currently unable to meet alone.

For privacy reasons, we are not sharing Mohamad’s full name, as he has chosen to keep his identity discreet. While he initially refused the idea of asking for help, I couldn’t stand by and watch him struggle alone. I insisted on doing this for him because he deserves a chance to overcome these challenges.

Your contribution will help Mohamad repay the debt incurred during this difficult time, cover ongoing living expenses for his family, and assist with the costs involved in bringing them safely to Belgium.

Mohamad has been a good friend of mine for years, and I’ve always admired his resilience and generosity. Any support, no matter the size, will make an incredible difference in helping Mohamad and his family rebuild their lives after these painful experiences.

My name is Ameer and I am 3 years old. My father’s name is Mohammad, my mother’s name is Rana, and my little brother’s name is Taim, who is two years old.

Six months ago, I used to go to the kindergarten and play and have a lot of fun.. and learn letters and numbers.. and play the kindergarten games. My life was very sweet.. and I had a very nice room in our house with my bed and toys.

On 12/1/2023, they bombed our house and we came out injured. My father broke his leg and my mother also broke her leg. I was shot in the back. My brother Taim was shot in the face and hands. We emerged from under the rubble, thank God.

But our house was destroyed and our whole life was destroyed. My toys were broken, my room and my bed were destroyed. And the kindergarten that I used to go to was destroyed and turned into ashes.

We left our house and went to live in the tent that my father had brought us. The tent was very disgusting. It had ants, cockroaches, and insects. We started getting sick and coughing every day. The sound of the missiles from above the tent was very terrifying and scared me and my brother Taim a lot.

My mother cries every day because she does not know how to make us food, because there is no food at all, and because there are no sanitary supplies for my brother Taim when he defecates.. and she is very afraid of the sound of the Jewish missiles and says that we will all die in the tent.

I want to ask you.. I want you to help me, my father, my mother, and my brother Taim.. We want to leave the Gaza Strip so that we can continue our lives.. so that I can return to the kindergarten that I left.. and so that my future and the future of my brother Taim are not lost. Our entry into Egypt cost us 20,000 US dollars.

MK1 STORY MODE SPOILERS

Man, I feel really bad to Syzoth in the story mode...

Like imagine your clan banished you bc you can shapeshift, then as you went away you become helpless that he might as well die. Then when you thought someone might genuinely help you, they give you an offer you definitely don't want to do so you declined, and they instantly threatened to kill your family (and did), so you agreed, not knowing what he actually did.

To add damage to the wound, in the tower ending you found out that your shapeshifting abilities is not only unique to you, but other Zaterrans who can do that are killed and the killer is still out there, probably coming after you next...

MK1 SPOILERS AHEAD (sorry for not placing read more on previous spoilers, idk how to do it yesterday. 😭)

The whole story is definitely a mess and they could've gone better with Tanya's character than being their guard/Mileena's nurse but I'm still shocked (and kinda giddy ngl) how NRS did a Princess Bride reference to Tanya and Mileena. Like, that's my favorite movie. 😭❤

While I'm dreading that Harumi will probably be reduced as both Scorpion's wife in the future, I'm happy that at least NRS created a brief backstory for her and currently made her a head of a clan in Japan.

It's also sweet of Kuai to name the clan after her...

Not gonna lie, this game made me realize that some fans have their right to say that the Lin Kuei are getting sidelined in the new MK games, because almost half of their roles in the whole story mode got revealed in their trailer and nothing really extraordinary happened to them... 😭

Also, its kinda funny that Kuai, a Chinese, and Tomas, a Czech/honorary Chinese, named their new clan a Japanese one. They really said "were gonna name our new clan 'Shirai Ryu' just cuz".

Also, I can kinda see what he's coming from at some angles (like always following the traditions can get boring, y'know?) But man, is he really bad at choosing his allies and choosing decisions in general? Because what do you mean you're choosing the evil side (that you can literally beat by your own hands) just because one of them can control an undead army???

One thing about Titan Shang is that his timeline's Titans' outfits are an absolute slay.

okay...

so mk1's story mode (for me at least) is better than mk11's, but it is also obvious they made the game with the intent of a sequel (or a DLC story) because there's a lot of characters that doesnt shine enough plus the ending is kind of a rushed one.

look, i do get that nrs is not and will never be good at writing their characters in mk, but some mk fans, especially in this website are really doing too much and thought they can do better with their own ideas when it's also just as wack...

like "i don't like nrs' idea of (insert character here), i wish they're more like (insert idea here)", yeah sure, not because it's good but because it is also just as shitty as the typical nrs writing.
