It's not progressive to say "women are oppressed so they should be brutalized in films for the sake of realism". Hate to break it to you, but most men are sadistic towards women, not empathetic. This painting is a bit of a departure for me from my usual portrait art, but serves as a small attempt to channel my fury over Friday’s Supreme Court decision.
