You’ve never been one for sneaking around. It seems to always end badly. However, when your best friend, Liv, practically dragged you through the back entrance of the event center and told you to keep quiet, you realized that it was too late. 

The closer the two of you got to the main ballroom where an event was being held, the more you took notice of the banners hanging from the ceiling.

“Are you kidding me?!” You hiss, yanking your hand out of Liv’s grasp. “You’re trying to sneak into a freaking BTS fan sign? Their security will throw us out on our butts before we can even get within 100-”

“Okay, we’ll make it just in time for our plane as long as there isn’t any traf–” Jin stops and so does your car, following a long line of other cars along the highway. You sigh, rubbing your temples.

“You jinxed it,” you say. “This anniversary trip is going so well.” Sarcasm and annoyance laced your voice.

“Everything will workout in the end, once we get on the island, we’ll be okay,” he says, putting a hand on your lap. “It’s our anniversary, it’s our only time alone, it’s going to be fun and we’re going to enjoy it.” Jin lifts up his hand to squish your face. He mocks the sad, pouty face you’re making. “Don’t. Be. Sad.” He squishes your face with every word.

The flow of traffic started moving, finally, and you can tell that Jin’s a little stressed out. With everything that happened throughout the day pushed aside, there were new problems now. One, will you get to the airport in time? Two, if you don’t, will there be available flights in the next hour? Three, will your airbnb still be available?

Honestly, everything should be fine. There’s a perfectly good solution to each of those problems, each can be solved easily.

You can catch a later flight if you’re late, and at least if you do, you don’t need to rush. And if being late causes you to lose your airbnb, you should be able to find a new one. But it’s not likely since you two booked it for the next few days. 

Right?

Okay, so the two of you made it just in time!

To miss your flight.

But no worries, you got on the next flight and you and Jin were able to relax for about an hour.

You laid your head on Jin’s shoulder as you two waited for your flight. 

His shoulders were relaxed, not as tense as it was earlier when you two were rushing to the airport and you were starting to feel like everything was going to go well. 

But something in your mind kept you from taking a quick nap on your husband’s shoulder.

“We didn’t forget anything did we?” You ask Jin as you two were walking to your seats on the plane. You felt like you were forgetting something, and it was bothering you.

A lot. 

“I don’t know, I don’t think so,” your husband answers, following you from behind. “And if we did, it’s kind of too late now.”

“I think I was supposed to buy something.” You sighed as you sat down in your seat. “I can’t remember, I think it was important.”

Jin sits down next to you, looking up as he was thinking of what you could have forgotten. 

“Snacks?”

“I feel like it’s something more important than that.”

“What could be more important than snacks?” Jin replied with an eye roll. You think you just saw Haneul in him just right now. 

Now you know where he got it from.

It was no surprise.

“Oh!” you say, remembering something. “The medicine cabinet!” Jin quirks up an eyebrow at you.

“You need.. to buy a medicine cabinet?” He asks you with a concerned expression. You give him the ‘are you kidding me’ face.

“No. It was something IN our medicine cabinet that I ran out of–”

“My allergy medicine!” Jin says, a little too loud, in panic. Your eyes widen and you slap a hand over his mouth. 

“Too loud,” you say as if you were talking to your little ones. 

“Was it that?” He says, muffled by your hand.

You and Jin finally made it to Jeju island. The two of you rented a car and made your way to your airbnb.

“What do you mean ‘No’.” Jin says. Shocked. Surprised? Maybe even annoyed. 

The two of you found a perfect place to stay and booked a few days, and nights of course, but with your schedule and plans changing with today’s events, the place was taken. 

“I’m sorry sir, but you were supposed to be here an hour ago and we waited and waited, and someone else came and paid extra just to take your–”

“But we made reservations!” Jin argued, letting out an annoyed laugh. “We paid everything–”

“And we will give you a refund sir.”

Jin turns to you and you just nod, placing a hand on his arm. “We’ll find a better place,” you reassure him. 

“Fine.” He says, leaning into your ear and whispering, “I’m leaving them with a bad review.”

After getting a refund, researching for a new place, finding a better airbnb, and booking it, oh and Jin giving a 1 out of 5 stars on their website, you and Jin finally were able to relax and enjoy your anniversary. 

I know.

Finally. 

“The sun’s setting soon,” you say sadly as you look out the window. “I can’t believe we wasted a whole day of our trip.” You rested your head on your hands. Jin comes by and sits next to you on the couch, looking out with you. Like a couple of kids wanting to go outside and play. 

Come to think about it, you’re sure you saw your kids doing the same thing the other day.

You were starting to miss them.

“We can stay an extra day if you want,” Jin says. “I’ll call in, I’ll let mom and dad know too–”

“It’s okay,” you say, shaking your head. “Let’s just make the most of our weekend.”

“Okay,” Jin nods. “Should we just order food and stay in? We had a pretty long day.”

“Sure,” you say. “After we eat, what else should we do tonight?”

Jin turns around and away from the window, looking at you with his whole body facing front and just his head towards you. 

“We can plan out our day tomorrow so we can make the most of our trip…” Can you tell you and Jin liked to plan? “And maybe we can watch a movie, I have a few saved on my list on Netflix.” You smile up at him.

“A long night in bed sounds great after today’s ‘festivities’.”

“If that’s what you want,” Jin says with a small laugh, leaning in to give you a kiss. “I’m up for whatever you want to do.”

“I think it’s the only way we should be spending our first night away from the kids.”

You wake up a little later than usual. Not a surprise since you don’t have to prepare for three kids + your husband’s breakfast. Making sure Minseok and Soojin have all of their books, their homework, and their lunch ready. Haneul, of course, following you everywhere around the house. 

The morning was rather quiet. 

“Mmm,” Jin groans from behind you. Your back was facing him as you laid on your side, facing the window in front of you. 

“Good morning,” Jin says in a low and raspy voice, propping himself up on his elbows. “Happy anniversary,” he says, leaning down to press kisses all over your cheeks, neck, and shoulders. You couldn’t help but giggle as you were especially ticklish on your neck. You roll over on your back and look up at him, smiling. 

“Happy anniversary,” you repeat back, looking up at his eyes, then his lips before you two met halfway. 

Can you believe over a thousand plus kisses ago, you and Jin had your first kiss as husband and wife? 

Now here you two are, in bed, kissing on your tenth anniversary. 

“I love you,” you say, as you pull away from his face. 

“I love you too,” your husband responds. “You and your stinky breath.”

After ten years of marriage, three kids, and twelve best friends and six nieces and nephews later, you have reached everything you’ve ever wanted.

A happy marriage.

Three sweet, smart, and beautiful kids.

The best friends you could have ever had, that turned into family. 

Nieces and nephews who are your kids’ forever best friends.

Each day with them, even if it’s stressful and hard, you wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. 

Meeting Jin has brought you to meet so many great people that made you have the best life you could ever have.

It’s safe to say that you love that man so so so so sO much.

“So last night,” Jin says as he brings you a plate of pancakes. “You said you just wanted to go out and visit the flower fields, then the beach, and then we can come back here to make lunch together right?” He says, listing out all the things you told him about yesterday. It’s been a while since you two went on solo dates, and the day seems a little simple for a ten year anniversary, but hey! You’re not with three little (lovely) monsters that will drag you and your husband away from each other!

“You’re right,” you say. “What about you? You didn’t really plan anything you wanted to do.” Jin shakes his head, a glass of orange juice on his lips. 

“I have plans for tonight,” he says. “But that’s a secret.” He winks at you, getting up from his seat and leaving you alone on the table.

“Hey where are you going?” You say, smiling at him as he walks away. A surprise? You were both curious and excited.

“Do you have my allergy medicine?” Jin asks you, sneezing uncontrollably as you two get closer to the fields. You frown, letting go of his hand as you searched your bag.

“Oh no, I don’t think I brought it,” you say, rustling through your bag. “I think that’s what I forgot..” You reach in and grab tissues instead. “Here,” you say, wiping your husband’s nose. You laugh when Jin bends down for you. He reminded you of your son. 

“You remind me of Minseok right now,” you say. 

“Of course, handsomeness is passed down from generation to generation.” You quirk up an eyebrow at him.

“I meant you two both have runny noses that I always have to wipe,” you say. “Now let’s go,” you say, turning around. Jin looks at you confused.

“Where are you going? We’re going that way,” he says, pointing to the direction where the two of you were going to first.

“We won’t have fun if your nose and eyes are going to keep itching,” you say. “It’s okay. We can go to the beach first, buy some allergy medicine, and then we can come back tomorrow.”

“Let’s take a picture,” you tell Jin, taking out your phone from your back pocket. 

“Okay, give it to me,” he says, taking your phone and walking away from you. You scrunch your brows at him. 

“Jin,” you say. He stands in front of you with your phone held in front of him. 

“Smile,” he says, ignoring you. You give him a weak smile and after he clicks, you walk up to him taking your phone from his hands.

“I said let’s. Meaning you and I?” You say. Jin scoffs, taking the phone from you again.

“You could’ve said, let’s take a selfie,” he says, wrapping his hand around your waist and pulling you close. “Smile,” he says, holding up your phone to show a view of the ocean behind you two.

“Let’s take another one, do you think someone else can take it for us?” You say, looking around.

“Yeah, I mean we can ask someone.”

“Okay, go ask that guy over there,” you say, pushing him towards the young man walking down the shore line. 

“Why me? You ask him,” he says, pushing your phone to your chest. 

“No,” you refuse, pushing your phone back into him. “You know how dangerous it is for a woman like me to go talk to random men?? You go.”

“Okay fine. Hmm,” he says, looking around. “Go ask that lady then.” Again, he pushes your phone back to you.

“No, you ask her,” you say, giving your phone back to him. 

“You know how dangerous it is for you to let your gorgeous husband go up to a woman sitting alone on the beach??” He argues. Again, pushing your phone back to your chest. “What if she thinks I’m asking for her number when I hand her your phone?”

“Well when she sees my wallpaper of us and our three kids, she’ll realize you aren’t!” you say. “Now ask her, please.”

After the beach, you and Jin went back to the airbnb for lunch. Rather than going out, the two of you thought that making lunch together may be a better way to celebrate. Just like old times.

“So what should we cook?” Jin says, looking in the fridge. It may have went over your head that you two have to go and actually buy some ingredients first. “Aaaand it’s empty.” You laugh as he stands up straight, turning to you. 

“Quick shopping trip?” You say, pointing towards the door. Jin laughs, nodding his head. He grabs the keys from the counter and walks towards you, swinging his arm over your shoulder.

“This may possibly be the fastest grocery shopping experience we may ever have since having kids.”

“So what’s the surprise?” You ask, wiggling your eyebrows at your husband. The two of you had just finished lunch and were currently in your room. 

“What surprise?” He asks, completely clueless looking. 

“The surprise you have for me,” you say, sitting up as you were laying in bed. 

“Oh I was just joking,” he says, sitting down next to you. “Let’s take a nap, the beach tired me out.” Your husband then lays over the comforter, putting his hand on his chest like a corpse. 

“Tired you out how? We just walked around and sat on the sand.” You turned around, looking at him and he was fast asleep. “Oh you old man,” you say, laying back down next to him. 

It only took a few minutes for you to fall asleep. Jin opens up one eye when he heard your light snores, turning to the side to see your mouth slightly open. He laughs to himself.

“And I’m the old man.”

To be fair, being a mom of three kids, falling asleep whenever you get the chance is easy.

Jin slowly gets up from the bed and walks out of the room, getting ready for your surprise.

He quickly got dressed and slipped out of the airbnb without you noticing. As long as there are no noises, you should be asleep the entire time he’s gone.

Of course he had to get you flowers and cake. It was kind of weird to go into a bakery and not see a single familiar face. No Yoongi, no Sohyun or aunty Sohu as Haneul liked to call her, no Taehyung, and no Rina. Just some guy named Huening Kai. 

“Anniversary?” The young man says. He looks at the roses Jin was holding. 

Jin nods at him, “ten years.” The man’s mouth went into an ‘o’ shape.

“Wow, how long have you two been married? Or are you married?” Jin laughs at his question and the young man laughs along shyly, not knowing as to why Jin was laughing exactly.

“Ten years, we’ve been married for ten years. Together for eighteen,” he explains. Huening Kai’s eyes widened. He laughed again as he typed in the order.

“That’s how old I am,” he says. Now Jin’s eyes get big. 

“Maybe I am the old man..” he thought. 

Jin gets back to your airbnb and, as he thought, you were still asleep. 

He puts the flowers next to the cake on the table and goes into your room to wake you up.

Again, your mouth was open, but of course Jin was used to that. He leans in to kiss you on the lips anyways. 

You respond back with a snore. 

He frowns, leaning down to kiss you again.

Still asleep.

He sighs, kissing you again. This time, you giggle during the kiss. Jin pulls away, upset.

“Yah, were you awake the whole time?” He says, annoyed. Jokingly of course.

“Yeah, I woke up after the first kiss. Were you worried that you weren’t my true love?” You joke. Referring to all the fairytales and movies you show to the kids. Jin would often tell Soojin that he was her true love which is why she always woke up whenever he would kiss her forehead in the morning. 

“A little,” he mumbles. Standing above you, Jin extends his hand out. “But whatever, get up.”

You frown up at him. “Why?”

“Day’s not over, it’s still our anniversary and we have plans.”

“I thought we didn’t,” you say.

“Surprise! We have a date.”

Of Fire and Love

(Dragon! Min Yoongi x Human Reader)  (ft. Baby Jungkook + Baby Dragon! Hoseok) 

Summary: When Dragon Yoongi finds baby Jungkook in the wreckage of a house he burned down, he can’t bring himself to kill the child. Months after someone drops a baby at your door, you start to notice something- or someone, lurking at the edge of your farm. Why does the man you catch glimpses of have horns?

A/n:  so here you go, baby dragon hoseok is not in this part- but he is in the next one. I love dragons! and I love yoongi! so yeah! partially inspired by comic i saw with dragon yoongi and knight hoseok so if anyone finds it please let me know! 

- Though Yoongi is a Solitary dragon, he still has a fair amount of interaction with the dragon community, so when small settlements go missing, or there is an isolated attack on a nests and others of his kind are in need someone with finesse for fire breathing- Yoongi comes and helps. 

- The Human vs. Dragon war is as old as time. And Yoongi is no stranger to the violence- his own family was killed hundreds of years ago by a human raid- though the war has changed since then, dragons have been pushed to the edges of the world or been made to hide in some places. There are even standing truces between some kingdoms and any dragons that might be passing through. 

- He has enough interaction and care for his own kind that he cares when he finds a nest ransacked. Cursing humanity and acting instinctually, he begins to hunt the humans that have done this.

- Yoongi had tracked the scent of death to a small mountainside community- he’d flown over the old cabins and seen the fresh fletchling dragon skins hanging out to cure and started killing indiscriminately. The light of dawn was cresting over the mountains when Yoongi starts to spit his hot blue fire into the buildings.

- Yoongi walks through the wreckage of the houses he’s just burned. The rage inside of him winking out as the last life did. His long cloak rustling in the ashes as he shifts to his human form once his temper cools checking for signs of life and finding none. 

- And then a high-pitched keen, crying, underneath the wreckage of a house as the rain starts up. The baby is small but healthy as Yoongi pulls him out from underneath the wreckage, with little more than a scratch on his cheek that looks a little deep and little tears beading at the edge of large brown eyes. Yoongi doesn’t know much about human children, but if he had to guess, he’s probably older than 6 months but younger than a year. Still immobile and unable to care for himself.  

- There is a name embroidered on the edge of the torn red blanket that swaths the baby, half soaked with mud. ‘Jungkook’ it reads, fine bronze thread against the dull red. A first name or a last name- Yoongi doesn’t know. 

- The weight of the babe calms in his arms, it starts to rain, and Yoongi finds himself curled over the tope of him and shielding his face from it. He can’t find it in himself to kill the child and save him the misery of starving to death. Despite the fact that this small family of warriors had killed countless of Yoongi’s kind and all for the more malleable young dragon skins- different than the rough hide of older dragons that could not be made into fireproof clothing- this child has done nothing, taken part in no such acts of violence. 

- But the baby- Jungkook - is an unintended consequence of Yoongi’s rage, and likely- his relatives, and simultaneously Yoongi does not want him to secum to startvation like he would if yoongi left him to die and yet cannot take care of him. Yoongi is a dragon- and cannot take care of a human child.

- It almost feels like something deep within him whispers to his fire filled heart, maybe not words, but definitely, something that tells him not to leave the child to die.

And so you agree, He picks you up by your waist and spins your around and scent marks you along your neck, a wide gummy smile tugging across his lips the whole time- absolutely ecstatic that you’ve agreed.

- And though you smile too, especially when Jungkook runs around your legs and shrieks in delight- you’d be lying if you said you didn’t feel a tiny- little- minuscule bit of trepidation about moving into a dragon’s den. Would it be basic? would it be basically like living in a cave, would it be warm?

- Whatever it is you’re expecting- Yoongi’s den is definitely not that.
