This show is, unironically, everything I’ve ever wanted out of adult animation.

It takes an absolutely dumb as hell premise of an Ubisoft MCU and plays it so straight it becomes a genuine piece of art. It’s violent as shit and swears like a motherfucker but has enough heart and soul and creativity to make those first points feel awesome, not lame. And most importantly, it’s fun as hell while being based as fuck!

Yes it’s on Netflix and yes it uses Ubisoft properties and yes I hate both of those facts. But this is an unironic masterpiece that deserves to be continued.

He's compared to a dog a few times with his loyalty plus his overall 'good boy' vibes. He also almost never makes a romantic move/gesture w̶i̶l̶l̶i̶n̶g̶l̶y̶ first before getting together (general not-feeling-like-they're-good-enough-for-their-beloved type stuff), which is a nice change of pace from a lot of male romance options out there I feel.

In the sequel fan-disc, he can propose, and he says 'Would you do me the honour of allowing me to become your husband' instead of the 'usual' 'honour of becoming my wife' 🥺

There's also the whole Varg situation...if you want more oomph.

i love when witch characters in stories aren't considered wrong on sole merit of being witches but because of the responsibility beign a witch carries. you can be justified in your feelings and righteous in your anger but human anger fades and a witches anger stays in the form of curses. even moreso i love when a witch is lamented to by their cast because they're more powerful than the rest but they're still not a god. to be pleaded with by the people around you "cant you DO something? cant you FIX this? isn't that what you do??!" just to tell them over and over you cant, you cant do that
