I will start this with yes I'm old enough to remember the fics where characters would be pulled from their stories at a point and then dropped in a theater to watch their media. To my point however, I think star wars should do this and in particular I want Cody to be able to see Obi-Wan hand cuffed to that pole in aotc. I am rooting for him.

Jaster Mereel trying to convince Mandalorians to read the SuperCommando Codex
I can't stop thinking abt this fic so i had to sketch

I know the general consensus when it comes to mandalorians/jedi ships are that the mandos would be the pushy borderline partners that kindap their jedi darlings. But I like the idea of a fic where the jedis kidnap the mandos. Like, Obi-Wan is out on a mission and he ends up getting separated from Anakin. Cue panicking but he still works the mission hoping to save his padawan.
Meanwhile Jango is working a job and comes across free ad! He's pretty excited about it until he realizes that this ad he's found is in face a jedi!! He promptly tracks down the wayward padawan's master and returns Anakin, all the while, taking down enough bad guys to make Obi-Wan's mission a rousing success. Obviously very happy, Obi-Wan invites Jango back to the temple so that the other Jedi can show their appreciation. He's invited to spar with a few of the older masters. And Jocasta is especially happy to gain some insight into Mandalorian culture. The room Jango is staying in stops being a guest room and instead becomes Mister Fett's quarters.
It gets to the point that Jaster has to send a unit of mandalorians to go and retrieve his son. But much to their confusion, they were greeted with open arms by the Jedi. Each guest finds something to do. And the Jedi are all too excited to provide hot tea and home baked pastries for their cool new warrior friends. Especially when they find out that every mando warrior comes pre-equipped with light saber sparring skills. When Jaster has finally had enough he heads on over ready to make a big fuss. Only to be greeted with open arms. The Jedi certainly aren't forcing anyone but you try saying no to Master Windu's handmade sweet breads. Jaster has to return to Mandalore, of course. Reluctantly the rest of the Mando agree to go. And for a while, that's the way that it is. Until Obi-Wan shows up on Mandalore claiming to be there on a research mission. More Jedi show up. They don't leave. There are padawans toddling around keldabe. Yoda and Mace have begun an intense rivalry with Mando elders over who can make the best tea. Half-way through planning a new Jedi temple Jaster realizes that he's been kidnapped by a culture filled with crazy reckless anti-christs.
I just. Love Mando’a so fucking much. It’s so great.
They have three different words to describe ways to be stabbed. Bikadinir (to stab with a broad blade; “run through”), chekar (to stab with a small blade, “shiv”), and kalikir (to stab with a narrow blade, “skewer”).
They have one pronoun. Kaysh. That’s it. Buir is just parent, there’s no mom/dad. No son/daughter, just ad, ad’ika, ikaad. Child. Vod can mean sibling, friend, comrade. All at once. Amazing.
They have dozens of ways to insult someone. Di’kut, someone who forgets to put their pants on. Utreekov, emptyhead. Najaat, no honor. Dini, lunatic. Kaysh mirsh solus, “their brain cell is lonely.” Skanah, “much hated person/thing.” Hut’uun, coward. Ge’hut’uun, not even notable enough to be called a coward (how insulting is that?). Demagolka, originating from Demagol, the name of a scientist who was so fucking shitty that his name became the worst insult a Mandalorian could call you. And that insult is child abuser, monster, war criminal, someone with no honor.
And then there’s “shab”, which we don’t have an official definition for, but the fandom collectively agrees it means “fuck.” Because we have shabiir (to screw up), shab’la (screwed up), shab’rudur (to screw with), and shabuir (jerk but much stronger, AKA asshole/motherfucker).
And Mando’ade don’t say “I love you.” They say “Ni kar’tayli gar darasuum.” I hold you in my heart for eternity. Like. Are you serious. That’s so much better than “I love you.” If someone said that to me I would die on the spot.
Mirshmure’cya means “brain kiss.” Slang for headbutt, which is a thing Mando’ade do a lot, apparently. And it’s a sign of affection, too. They show affection by gently bonking their helmets together. How adorable is that???
Oh, and shereshoy. A lust for life “and much more.” Represented by orange on their armor. “The enjoyment of each day and the determination to seek and grab every possible experience, as well as surviving to see the next day - hanging onto life and relishing it.” And that “oy” at the end of it, derived from “Oya!”
“Oya”, which can mean so many things. A war cry before a fight or hunt. A celebration. An encouragement. “Let’s hunt!” “Hoorah!” “Cheers!” “That’s the spirit!”
This post got much longer than I meant it to lol. I’ll stop here. But you get the gist. Mando’a is a wonderful language and I am in love with it.
Cursory research into the meanings of Mandalorian armour colours...
Black - ne'tra = justice, an unshakeable moral code (also wanting to avoid stains on your clothes)
White - cin vhetin = a fresh start or clean slate (good for converts/adult adoptions)
Grey - genet = mourning a loved one (or recently rejected)
Gold - ve'vut = vengeance (a warning colour)
Silver - beskar = unpainted armour, a search for redemption (Din Djarin's guilt complex, anyone?)
Bronze - tranyc'bes - nobility and high status (favoured by stuck-up self-important jackasses)
Brown - daryc - valour, galantry, The Audacity (particularly when associated with them cunty lil jedi cape drops)
Tan - vhekadla - loyalty (lit. 'sandy' but I don't like sand, it's coarse and rough and...)
Maroon - daryc'tal - power (all hail Maroon 5, our benevolent overlords)
Red - ge'tal = honouring a parent (very popular, 10/10)
Scarlet - galar'tal - defiance and relentlessness (Mandalorian Scarlett Johansson omfg be still my bi heart)
Orange - shereshoy = shereshoy, a lust for life (the party people)
Yellow - shi'yayc - remembrance, burnt out vengeance (makes for funky funerals)
Mint green - cin vorpan - lust for peace, guardians and peacekeepers (does not necessarily mean I want to fuck guardians and peacekeepers, get your head outta the gutter)
Green - vorpan = duty, commitment and hard work (favourite of farmers, too)
Teal - jahaal = healing, violence as a last resort, I've seen some shit and now I defend peace (favoured by healers and New Mandalorians)
Blue - kebiin = reliability and faithfulness (favoured by single parents)
Sky blue - kebii'tra = new love, newlyweds, marriage and all that fluffy stuff (Satine's famous jewellery TCW S2 - ObiTine for the soul)
Indigo - jiisaviin = prosperity, victory, the feeling that we have achieved our hopes (tempting fate, perhaps)
Lilac - saviin = luck, change, survival in adversity, hope for the future (associated with the old God of Luck)
Pink - cin ge'tal - respect and knowledge, a fusion of past and future (associated with journalists and academics)

this scene is so underrated. he claimed a prophecy foretelling his death so that nico wouldn't die. a prophecy that thalia knowingly passed onto him mere pages before (for a good reason, yes).
this scene is the absolute pinnacle of his character. he just watched so many failures of their world. nico losing his sister and being left alone. luke hurting everyone he loved because of the gods' terrible treatment. zoë's death at her father's hand. everything that happened to bianca. he watched all of this knowing how wrong it was and said to the girl who was left by everyone who was supposed to care about her, "no. i will not let this happen again unless i am the last one this happens to," and then spent the next year and a half expecting to die on his 16th birthday. wtf.

Honestly, the only HSR Ship I go for - considering I don't play the game - is Golden Ratio and it's literally all Kavetham's fault. 110%. But not in the way you think.
Aventurine is their son. I don't care— he's their biological son. His eyes always make me think of Alhaitham's and his hair is just Kaveh's and his traits make so much sense for them both!
I love the idea of him having these deep ties to riches and gambling - but kind of controlling the game - because of Kaveh, because he's constantly without funds and being conned. So why not solve the issue in a backwards, semi-shady way like your father does? He controls cash because Kaveh never could. He controls fate for the same reason. He learned at a young age to not fall for tricks, but to instead fabricate the stage and connections necessary to succeed just like Alhaitham does. He works behind the scenes and is always a step ahead, but his heart might just get the better of him...
He just so penultimately, physically, psychologically feels like their son to me that it's never ever going to budge! And Ratio? MY GOSH.
As much as Freud is a fucking moron, the idea of Aventurine feeling safe and secure around Ratio makes sense to me BECAUSE he's like his parents... The ties to architecture, mathematics, the type of ambitions and hardships, his demeanor and just EVERYTHING! It feels like Aventurine could fall for him because he is the embodiment of everything his parents were: safe and protective and kind and misunderstood.
He'd love him so quickly because he is everything he'd already love, and it just makes sense. To me, at least.
