KOSA PASSES SENATE 7/30/24
Kosa has unfortunately passed the Senate on a 91-3 vote. I want this to be clear, It’s not going into effect, it still has to get to the House but I believe there will be a break for the month of August which gives us A WHOLE MONTH!! to call your HOUSE representatives and tell them to vote NO on Kosa. It’s not over yet, it barley JUST passed the Senate now because so many people told their senators and representatives that they didn’t want KOSA. We can do it again, PLEASE do not panic and give up!! I know it’s scary I’m very scared right now myself but if we go silent that’s how it’s going to pass the House and get signed to the president. Let’s try to stop that from happening!!!

Dear mutuals and followers, sorry for the politics in your dashboard but in some homes today we cannot afford to "ignore the problems".
The country where I come from, Venezuela, has had an election for president that has resulted in fraud. Mr. Nicolás Maduro has proclaimed himself President although the votes have said the opposite. This regime has devastated the lives of its citizens, resorting to violence against those who opposed it. It has brought ruin to a nation once celebrated as a pioneer of Latin American independence, yet many choose to overlook its plight. Venezuela, a country that once extended support to immigrants and provided aid to others, is now dismissed as insignificant by many.
If you are an advocate who values the dignity and needs of individuals, we urge you to raise your voice alongside us. Don't ignore us because we are Latinos, this is also a war. It is a conflict against an individual who has controlled his armed forces, law enforcement, narcotics syndicates, and citizens, rendering any attempts at reform futile despite our vocal protests. I have family members who are unable to depart through legal means, and if they choose to leave unlawfully, they face harsh judgment from people of the outside.

Allow me to point out some of the blessings that people, unlike those in the strange scary world of Gaza, are inclined to take for granted and rarely do they reflect on:
Plenty of food, vegetables, and fruits.
Electricity 24/7.
Drinkable water 24/7.
No horrifying sounds of explosions, no head-splitting buzzing of Israeli drones in their sky, and no scary shaking of their houses because of the continuous bombardment.
No fear of ending up buried under the rubble of their cozy beautiful houses.
No scary thoughts about getting killed in an airstrike before drifting off at night.
Access to quality education for them and their children.
A plea from one family to another: kindly help me get my family to a safe place before I lose them forever. The situation in Gaza only moves from bad to worse. My family is stranded in the most hellish conditions ever, so I am dedicating to helping them evacuate to Egypt as soon as possible.
Join me in securing a dignified safe life for my family and a prosperous future for the children who have been deprived of education for a year.
Even worse, it seems they won't receive any education for another year at least as the ravaging cruel war continues and most Schools have been viciously and devilishly destroyed. Your support is a lifeline for my family and a chance for a better future for them. It is just too early for them to depart to heaven!

The first TTMAB fanart ever!!! Done by my (inactive) moot in 2020! I reconnected with them on Instagram through one of their moots and they dug it up for me! I lost this drawing years ago and thought I’d never see it again so I REALLY appreciate them finding it! Their redesign heavily influenced my current TTMAB!Luna design:) this feels like a dream come true!!!
I drew this comic for Firas @firasmuhaisenn, a friend who has family trapped in Gaza. Their campaign has been verified by @/90-ghost. Not only do he and his sister Nisreen have to deal with the stress of being medical students, they also constantly worry about their family’s wellbeing.
But you can help Firas’ family.
The main goals of their fundraiser are:
1) Paying their university fees by 1st August. They need about $6000 CAD before then.

Well, unsurprisingly, KOSA passed the Senate procedural vote 86-1.
Proof:
Again, they still have to vote on the final passage & the House still has to vote on it as well.
So, focus on your House Representative now; Continue to call them & tell them to vote ‘No’ to KOSA. Remember: There is more opposition to KOSA in the House.
Spread this around. Don’t panic!

it really hurts me to see so many gazans asking us for help, though that's through no fault of their own. they've been forced to use a social media site that they're probably not familiar with (because tumblr has kind of faded out of popular consciousness), to interact with us in a second language, to distinguish themselves from the scammers who are taking advantage of genocide, and to ask strangers for help. i don't think there are any cultures where it's easy to ask for help like this, but i'm intimately familiar with how humiliating it can be in arab culture. please be kind, gracious and helpful to the gazans in your inbox. this is a desperate time for them, and in addition to the physical danger inflicted by "israel", the prices of basic resources in gaza are extremely high due to scarcity, and those that manage to escape to egypt are financially exploited by landlords there and have an extremely difficult time finding work due to their unofficial status as refugees. these families will continue to need our help and i hope we can all continue to provide it to the best of our ability.

When the Vegimals first hatched, Shellington was astonished by these fascinating creatures.
And then reality set in
How was he going to tell the rest of the crew?
On top of this now he had to take care of these little guys. Give them names, feed them, ect.
Welcome to parenthood Shellington
He was nervous about the crew getting scared, or worse wanting the Vegimals to be released back into the ocean, so he kept his care for them a secret. (Although he wasn’t particularly subtle)
Soon Captain Barnacles noticed how sluggish and overworked Shellington had become and decided to check on him, only to be met with a small little creature thrusted into his arms by Shellington.
The lab was in total chaos and Shellington wasn’t looking too well.
Even with a very brief explanation from Shellington, the Captain could see how exhausted he was. And the Vegimals didn’t seem dangerous, just a bit of a handful.
So he made the decision to brief in the other Octonauts.
They were all shocked by the Vegimals, and had so many questions.
But Captain Barnacles made it very clear the main priority was to help Shellington. Luckily, Inkling found a few baby books in his big library.
They all joined Shellington in the lab bringing fish biscuit formula, blankets, Tweak had made little beds, Inkling brought a few books for Shellington, and they all stayed with him to help out with the Vegimals.
Shellington was very touched by his crew’s compassion, so much so he fell asleep.
The captain didn’t mind though, and they all kept watch over their new crew members while Shellington got some well overdue rest.
And by the time Peso joined, they Vegimals were very much a part of the crew, and he was briefed in about them and to not be startled by them.
Saw a few folks drawing that one early Frisk Undertale concept art in their style and had to do it myself…

I have been getting a huge influx of harrassment and abuse on this blog lately for calling out pedophiles to keep minors in my community safe, and it’s time I address it.
I have recently been asked why I post these problematic users’ URLs instead of just blocking them and moving on.
Some of you seem confused as to what pedophilia is and why it is wrong. I can’t believe I have to explain this, but pedophilia is SEXUALIZING CHILDREN. I have seen it in this fandom in the form of suggestive art, lewd comments, and explicit fanfiction. This is WRONG because CHILDREN CANNOT GIVE CONSENT. They do not have the brain capacity or the maturity to give consent, therefore any sexual act against a child is sexual abuse.
This has nothing to do with my personal opinion of what child sexualization looks like. Sexualization is sexualization, PERIOD. This INCLUDES aging up child characters for the purpose of creating sexual content. Pedophilia is horrific and should never, EVER be tolerated in any capacity.
Pedophiles are dangerous people who groom minors, and if you don’t know what grooming looks like, I highly suggest you get educated. I myself and many people I know have experienced grooming and I will do anything in my power to protect another minor from being abused.
Staying silent about pedophilia is exactly what allows grooming and predatory behavior to keep happening. Enabling predators by ignoring or forgiving their behavior is disgusting. These people could seriously hurt children and no one should be viewing or creating this type of content. Making a pedophile “look bad” is the least of my worries. What they are doing is WRONG. It is NOT THAT HARD to NOT SEXUALIZE CHILDREN.
I find it necessary to note that although I have been accused of “attacking” users by posting their urls, I have never once personally harassed these users. Instead, I block, report, and warn others about them and their harmful behavior. I would never intentionally bully someone who I simply don’t like, and I would NEVER wrongfully accuse someone of literal pedophilia. That is the most disgusting thing I could ever think of doing. If I am actually calling out a user for inappropriate behavior, you better believe they have done something extremely wrong for me to take time out of my very busy day to warn others about them. I’m perfectly happy to give you physical evidence backing my claims if you can’t just scroll through their blogs yourself, because I would never lie about something as serious as this. If you believe I have wrongfully accused someone of posting inappropriate content, just ask and I will give you receipts.
You can send me hate, call me a bully or whatever you want, but pedophilia has no place on tumblr and I will fight to remove these users til the day I die. From now on users who continue to attack me and defend pedophiles will be blocked and reported for harassment. I will not tolerate any of this abusive behavior towards myself or anyone in my community, and I hope to keep pjmblr a safe space for everyone. Thank you for reading.
