when derek warns stiles not to run because he won’t be able to hold back his wolf’s instinct to chase after him… and it happens almost everyday too. due to stiles’ adhd, when he can think of something he HAS to do it immediately. like when they’re out for grocery shopping stiles would be like OH I FORGOT ABOUT ICE CREAM BRB and then start running like a small animal. which can confuse derek’s wolf who thinks his mate is playing with them and wants to be chased and we need to run after him right NOW

I know, usually, Derek is written as the type to do the "I'll let the world burn for you" shit but realistically, he's too much of a martyr for that. He will jump in the fire if it means others would go unscathed.

Now, Stiles? Stiles is the balls to wall unhinged one. He would let the world burn for Derek, for his pack. If you give him a reason, if you hurt what’s his? He’ll go full scorched earth without hesitation

alright free story idea that I personally find really funny.

Derek 'Chronic English Major' Hale having a secret love of period drama romance novels or some shit, and one day picks up a new and popular series where the story is essentially 'Pride and Prejudice but oops all werewolves'. He gets real invested and is really impressed by both the incredibly well researched historical accuracy, AS WELL as the ACCURATELY portrayed werewolf lore/representation.

I also like to imagine Derek and Lydia bond over their shared interest of books/films because 1. it's funny and 2. they're honestly both so dramatic and extra that after all the shit they and their friends went through, Derek and Lyds deserve to be buds. Anyway, said book series comes up in conversation, and Derek says he just started it and it's really good. Lydia inexplicitly starts cackling, but doesn't elaborate, just making vague comments almost like an inside joke.

Derek finishes the book series, and starts to put the pieces together. Some parts of these books seem almost... too familiar. But who would be the type of person to have encyclopedic knowledge on hyper specific parts of history, a flair for dramatics, AND a vast amount of experience with not only the supernatural, but especially werewolves?

...Yeah turns out Derek Hale's favourite book series was written by Stiles using a pen name, and no he does not want to talk about it.

actually i do find it hilarious that Derek was all ‘i’m a real actual werewolf with experience of being a werewolf and i can give you advice about how to be a werewolf because i am a werewolf’ and Scott was like ‘sorry my completely human 16 year old best friend just took a double-dose of adderall and went on an 8 hour wikipedia spree so i think he’s got me covered on the werewolf advice stuff :)’

most interesting thing abt derek is he really just is the epitome of a character who is trying his best but sometimes his best is like . the most horrible play in the world. it's like watching a car crash in real time. he's like when a sports team is losing a game so horrendously bad they put their 3rd or 4th string of players in and you as a fan just have to sit there and watch them get their ass handed to them. he's mean he's grieving he's honestly a little bit insane. he's a loser! im obsessed with him

Imagine Rafael coming into the office to see a very confused FBI agent, staring into oblivion with a look on his face that’s a mix of horror, shock and utter confusion.

He hesitantly asks the agent what’s wrong and he says, with all the seriousness in the world, “I think Stilinski is a psychopath.”

Rafe tries his hardest not to laugh and ask why the agent thinks that.

“I got a report on a mysterious death and I noticed the last name was Hale. I asked Stilinski ‘Isn’t that your husband’s last name?’ and he goes ‘Yeah, it is’. So I ask him if he knows anyone by the name of Peter Hale, and he said, ‘Yeah, he’s Derek’s uncle. What’s he done now?’” The guy takes a moment to gather himself. “I said that I was sorry to tell him that Peter was dead.”

Rafe bites his lip to stop himself from laughing.

“And Stilinski…” The guy looks terrified. “He laughed. He laughed and said ‘If only’.”

“Right. I’ll talk to Stilinski. In the meantime, I’ll take this case off your hands.”

A moment later, Rafe then finds Stiles in the hallway and sees Stiles angrily hang up the phone.

“Still alive?” Rafe calls out to him, guessing what has him upset.

“He’s still alive!” Stiles says livid, snatching Peter’s case file that Rafe holds out to him as he angrily stomps back to his desk, muttering something about Peter being a pain in the ass.

I feel like we're almost in an era of like, reverse queerbaiting. Used to be that you'd be tricked into watching a show because the story implied there'd be gay rep, but now they're using gay rep to trick you into thinking there'll be a story.

Derek: Love is weakness and an evolutionary mistake. Isaac: ...You are literally making a Valentine’s day card for Stiles. Derek, pointing his hot glue gun towards Isaac: You’re on thin fucking ice.
