"Because of you! Why? Why do I need to struggle like this! Humm? I want to be a slacker! That! Is! My! Dream! I'm someone whose dream is to live quietly! Also, keep your damn subordinates in line! Huh? He wants to use Raon as a sacrifice?! Where the hell is your lackey getting the confidence to spew such ludicrous statements out of his damn snout?"- Cale beating up White Star with a Rock
Why does nobody talk about Cale’s tattoos?! It’s canon that Cale has tattoos, and nobody mentions it! (#><)
Why didn’t Ron ask anything? It’s safe to say that Ron knows when the shield tattoo appeared because he helps Cale get dressed. So why didn’t he say anything when it’s obvious that Cale didn’t go to a tattoo shop? After all, if he had, the rumors would go wild (^^#)
And when does the heart appear? And the swirls? And the lightning bolt?! With the latter, it’s obvious that they are ancient power marks, so why is it never mentioned? \\٩(๑`^´๑)۶//
I understand it’s for plot convenience and all, but how the hell does nobody comment on it even once? ヽ(`⌒´メ)ノ
Here’s a list of Cale’s canon tattoos up to chapter 1045:
Silver shield + Heart + Lightning bolt (disappeared after the battle at Mapple Castle and the appearance of the golems) over the heart.
Swirls on the ankles.
Eight water droplets on the collarbones (four on each side).
Well, well, I know it’s not much, but it’s still significant! (」°ロ°)」
Becrock is a great villain in my view and his idea of how to mix living and dead mana was fascinating (✯◡✯)
I found his character very interesting and his story had too many holes and mysteries to solve so it seemed like a real waste that he no longer appeared after Rosalyn defeated him in battle (︶︹︺)
The fact that he got rid of his subordinates so easily is not an excuse for him not being given a well-deserved redemption or at least a relationship of frenemies and/or reluctant allies with Cale's group, after all DHB did exactly what himself and after being punished he was easily accepted as a member of the family and if everything goes as hinted in the Apitoyu arc he will soon receive a name (」><)」
(Don't get me wrong, I love the DHB (°◡°♡), but I feel that he is a good representative of this type of situation)
I really like the idea of him becoming Rosalyn's subordinate after all, he respects strength and Rosalyn defeating him will definitely show her strength to him probably having an energetic boss-non-energetic subordinate relationship ♡(。 - ω -)
And who knows? Maybe after that he will become the leader of the ghostly mana research sector (Living Mana + Dead Mana = Ghostly Mana) in the new magic tower ( ̇꒳ ̇ )
I understand you, I almost always try to think about what our hero would do if he were in my place…
The conclusion is almost always that I am not good at making plans (。T ω T。)
I've been noticing that I'm starting to pick up Cale's vibe. I catch myself acting and talking like him. I never used to swear that much before I read TCF, but now it's just a normal part of how I talk. Also, I find myself thinking, "If Cale was in my place, what would he do?" I don't know if this is a good thing or not, but I'm kind of into it ^^
It was clearly demonstrated during the Wind Island test, and although it is not exactly traditional eremophobia (which is more than anything the fear of being physically alone), unlike this, Cale fears more than anything being the last survivor among his dear ones.
I think the reason Cale is always at the vanguard is that he is afraid of seeing his loved ones die. So, if they end up in a situation where their enemy is stronger than them and they can’t flee, at least he will die before the others.
Trauma will always push him to avoid seeing his people die, lest he be the last survivor. The guilt of having those ideas, of imposing that fate on someone else, can make his already low self-esteem even more non-existent than before.
I just realized I'm rambling, so I'll leave it here. Anyway, even if this analysis is wrong, I think it can be quite accurate in many cases.
Body stolen by the White Star's reincarnation
Being affected by the Curse of the God of Death ("All those you cherish shall die") before being born
Rebirth in Korea, shortly followed by the death of his parents
Taken in by his abusive uncle, Kim Seung Jong, who falls into alcoholism and gambling
Either the uncle dies due to his addictions or it gets so bad Kim Rok Soo runs away – that part was a bit unclear
Gets into the orphanage, where all friends or caretakers he comes to care about leave him, one way or another
Choi Jung Gun shows up when Kim Rok Soo is about to get murdered by the Hunters Park So Jin & Jung Yi-Rang, posing as his counselor & classmate
CJG or the Hunters wipe his memory of the event, which one did it is slightly unclear
Just as KRS's life gets stable enough that he gets a job while studying at a university, the Monster Apocalypse strikes and he loses everything all over again
KRS starves under the wreck of a building for a week before getting rescued by Lee Soo Hyuk
LSH takes him to a shelter where Park Jin Tae is in charge, just for him to turn into an abusive leader who bosses KRS around and beats him up
Then the monster wave shows up, killing everyone KRS got to know and care about at the shelter. Hello, Survivor's Guilt!
Somehow, he survives the rest of the monster wave, but that surely wasn't a pleasant experience, considering all shelters lost power for 24 hours and KRS probably experiences the minor ones failing in-person (who knows just how many different shelters he tried to run off to??)
After a time skip KRS gets into the company and we assume life is pretty good for a while for him, under LSH's guidance and the friendship with Choi Jung Soo, as well as their other Team members... except then the Unranked Monster shows up and wipes KRS's entire Team in one go, leaving him the last and only man standing. Hello, Survivor's Guilt Part Two!
KRS attends the funeral of LSJ & CJS, only to be talked about behind his back how he's not even mourning them correctly because he's not crying (those bastards-!)
He takes upon himself to avenge LSH and the rest of the Team, because they were supposed to have back-up from a Guild which all ran away and left them to die. I suppose KRS going after them went down similarly to how he later toppled Arm and the Mogoru Empire, so let's call it his "practice run on Dismantling Corrupt Organisations"
He takes over as the Team Leader as well, overworking himself to the extreme (not even taking a single day off in the first year) to have a 0% casualty rate
He distances himself from the team in order not to suffer another heartbreak if something happens to them (also, my theory is that KRS subconsciously recognized the pattern of his Curse and made himself believe that he's a bad, selfish person who doesn't care about others... just so the Curse don't kill off his Team members this time)
Once again, he gets his body stolen without his permission – and sure, that turned out well in the end, but still: not just once, but TWICE! NOT cool, God of Death!!
He's dumped with the knowledge and responsibility of the conflicts to come in this new world, which was supposed to be originally CJS's job to fix. Come on, it's not KRS's fault he lived instead!! Not he's gotta clean up THIS mess...
Once again, Cale overworks himself white trying to achieve World Peace, because HOW is he supposed to rest if the world comes to an end around him – AGAIN!?
Cale's body wastes away from continuously sacrificing himself (while claiming that he isn't sacrificing himself) and keeps falling into a coma from Ancient Powers overuse
He breaks his plate in the battle at the Gorge of Death and suffers terribly to get it fixed
He gets a premonition that he's probably going to die around November 8th – THANKS A LOT, GOD OF DEATH!!
He also goes through a traumatic test of seeing his worst fear at the Wind Island
He attracts the attention of several nasty characters: like Adin, the White Star, or the Sealed God... which is definitely NOT a good thing
The Sealed God casually tosses him into an alternate universe to relive his greatest trauma
Cale, once again, has to solve problems in another world because he literally cannot do anything else
Also the White Star is trying to murder him in the meantime, so he suffers great physical AND mental pain at the same time - hurray!
Oh and let's not forget, now he gotta defeat the Final Boss by stabbing himself. It won't hurt, the World Tree says...? WHY DON'T I BELIEVE YOU (Also the Sealed God made sure everyone saw everything, nice going there you son of a-!)
And just when the whole thing with the White Star and the Sealed God gets resolved, the HUNTERS SHOW UP, BECAUSE WHY THE HELL NOT
And now Cale gotta go around MORE UNIVERSES to solve ALL OF THEIR PROBLEMS. ..... H o w n i c e

I feel like if this game existed all the players would go crazy trying to figure out why Cale changed so much after the update… and there may or may not be a secret route where OgCale's time travel and his switch of bodies with KimCale are discovered. but no one would ever find out because they don't know how to activate it. ┐( ̄∀ ̄)┌
Okay, so you know the like Otome game au for TCF? I wanted to draw something based around that.
So what I imagine here, is that Birth of a Hero is a popular Otome game that suddenly gets a sudden update after a year or two of nothing from the game. The update completely changes one character, Cale. He went from a romanceable minor villain to an un-romanceable mysterious character who actively avoids the player.
If players chose a route in which bad things would happen, Cale would step in and solve the issue and cause one of the hearts Cale has to go black which stands for dislike or hate. Even if Cale should have no way of knowing the player made something happen it would still happen.
The only way to even raise his affection stat would be to mainly leave him alone but if you chose to follow him around than the scene I drew would be prompted to start.
I need Cale-nim in Naru form and team leader Sui Khan to act and scam the world together. The master and his top student, two master scammers, the whole ordeal is gonna be so beautifully done.
I don't know if I like it or not, but at least now I can stop dying of frustration every time I read "Alver" ( ̄▽ ̄)
I've had this HC for maybe over 2 years now n I've never heard of anyone talking about it here so:
I've always called Alberu Alberu in my head but when I read the manhua, it changed his name to alver so I made this up in my mind to make sense of that.
Alver: name he uses in public, this is what he goes by when he's doing prince stuff. It's formal and it's probably what his father/brothers refer to him as
Alberu: name he uses almost exclusively when he's in his bark elf from. It's the name his mother gave him at birth. I'd imagine this being the name the people closest to him call him! (Like cale, Tasha, choi Han ect.)
Got this because so many people around me have a name in their traditional language and another English name, so it just got stuck in my mind lol
I really like the concept of the dying will flames in Katekyou Hitman Reborn! In fact, I love it! ٩(♡ε♡)۶
This concept is quite interesting from my perspective, the being able to manifest the power of your soul through your will to live is very cool for me °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
I am not going to give an explanation of what the flames are since the publication is not about that, instead, I am going to give the link that will explain what they are.
(All credits to villainsandvictimsalliance ⸜(*ˊᗜˋ*)⸝)
And given the basic explanation, I'm going to give my ideas on how they work in this AU:
The Dying Will Flames come from the excess energy that the soul constantly emits. If you have accumulated a large amount of energy in your soul and find yourself in a near-death situation where your highest priority is to survive, your will can break the barrier between the physical and spiritual worlds, allowing you to access your flames and making you active. When this happens, small holes open in your soul that with time, use and trauma can become larger, causing chronic spiritual pain, that is where bonds and harmony come in. Links to other flames (and therefore souls) can help as pain relievers for all parties involved by superficially plugging the gaps and not allowing the core of the soul to be exposed. The exception to this is the flames of the sky which, due to their harmony attribute, can fill the gaps in other souls but not in their own, while the elements fill the gaps in their Sky, which makes this type of bond highly sought after. It is not just about healing the soul, it is a promise of eternal loyalty and devotion between each party, letting your own soul find a home in your Sky to fill the gaps in it and knowing that you will always have someone in who to trust for the rest of your life. Both harmony and general bonds are promises of eternal trust and loyalty, no active person will ever try to harm anyone they are bonded with much less an element to their Sky. A Sky needs a bond with each of the elements to stay sane and healthy physically, mentally and spiritually. The more powerful he is, the more links he needs. These can be created immediately if the souls are very compatible or by courtship if they don't are.
Well, with that explained, here is my TCF AU using this concept (o^ ^o)b.
Cale is definitely a Misty Sky, someone who can accept anyone without discrimination, but seeking the maximum benefit for himself and his people at all times.
He is someone who will deceive and swindle to achieve his goals by seeking out anything that he thinks may be useful or annoying to his enemies, but at the same time he is totally incapable of deceiving those he considers his by telling only lies for omission and half-truths.
He will justify any display of affection as manipulation or pretend to ignore it, but the way his worst fear is that his people will die and ending up alone speaks volumes about his character.
He is possessive of everything that is his, including his people, and will always pay for every offense or good act. For example, he prolonged Hannah's suffering by giving her healing potions and delaying Mary's arrival for everything she did to the whales, but once she paid for his offenses he did everything he could to help her.
But the curse make him difficult to have bonds.
After all, being a Sky he would need to have precious people to keep his soul complete and not fall into madness, and we all already know that he does the curse.
During the cataclysm each and every one of the humans with enough will to do everything possible to live awakens their flames to later (once society is rebuilt) be studied, revealing what explained at the beginning.
Moving on to another topic, I firmly believe that Cale's family in the Shelter (LSH (Cloud), LSW (Lightning), LJJ (Sun), JMS (Mist), Grandma Kim (Rain) and maybe PJT (Storm)) They were his first set of items allowing him to heal and maintain his sanity, but his curse took them away from him.
He later formed a bond with CJS (Sunny Rain) until the unclassified monster disaster occurred.
Team 1 that he led began to court him, but the trauma prevented him from forming complete bonds by creating too many holes for them alone to fill, leaving them all suffering, Cale by not being able to form new bonds and the team by refusing to accept another Sky wearing down the souls of all of them.
On the other hand, the original Cale is also a Misty Sky, the Thames are a long line of powerful Sky's who unlocked this power on Earth 1 but which is inaccessible without intervention for the inhabitants of almost all worlds except for the variants of the land.
Cale was born with active flames due to the difficulties of childbirth, harmonizing with his mother (a Sunny Sky) in the process.
During his childhood he harmonized with Eric (Rain), Amiru (Storm) and Gilbert (Lightning) after accidentally waking them up with his flames, but after the death of his mother he tried to distance himself from them without success causing them all to be very clingy to each other. yes and promise never to abandon each other.
After the arrival of Basen and Violan he began to act like trash in hopes that the collateral families would stop insulting his father's new family, thereby destroying his reputation in the process.
He was in a courtship process with Ron (Mist) and Beacrox (Cloud) before starting to act, but he interrupted it by starting to treat them as simple servants.
Then the Harris Village accident happens and Choi Han's beating completely undoes any trace of harmony with the Molans.
The Plaza Terror accident kills Basen and seriously injures the nobles of the northwest who begin to stay with Cale in a villa within a small town.
The War occurs by killing the rest of the Henituse family and taking most of the people in the northeastern territory with it.
Cale, Eric, Amiru and Gilbert, letting themselves be carried away by the desire for revenge, enlist in the army, quickly rising through the ranks until the battle in Puzzle City arrives.
During that battle each of them dies and Cale is taken to the God of Death who offers him a deal.
Since both his and Kim-Cale's souls are incredibly damaged he offers to send him back in time to the moment before he met Choi Han and fuse his souls.
Og-Cale insists that Kim-Cale must be there if the deal involves him and the God of Death brings him in while he was taking a nap on his day off, accidentally dragging Team 1 along due to the courtship.
They protest without wanting to send their leader (Sky) to a world destined for destruction until GoD blurts out that the reincarnation of the shelter family lives in that world which makes them stop trying knowing that Kim-Cale would do anything for see his elements again, so they start negotiating to go with him (Min Ah including his family being the only one with close relatives ( ╥ω╥ ))
Cale protests that they should not waste their lives for a trip that would bring them no benefit, but they tell him that they do not do it for benefits, but do it solely out of their loyalty.
This last exchange causes Cale to finally understand that they would stay by his side and finally accepts them into his Sky, establishing harmony.
Og-Cale on the other hand watches the exchange, and feeling a little jealous (very, very jealous (¬_¬)) tells GoD if Kim-Cale can take his people with him because he couldn't do the same demanding that Eric, Amiru and Gilbert travel with him.
GoD, wanting Nameless 1 to be saved, accepts the demand and quickly brings them, taking advantage of the fact that they recently died, to explain everything to them.
Only when they are about to seal the deal does Kim-Cale realize that GoD never mentioned what had happened to CJS and after much insistence he finally blurts out that he had become his subordinate and that he was currently on a mission in another country. world.
On the condition that CJS visits him as soon as possible he accepts the deal.
The deal is finally complete, Kim-Cale and Og-Cale will be a single person once the respective regression and transmigration begins, the nobles of the northeast will return to their bodies from before the Plaza Terror accident and the Koreans will be left in a merchant caravan with forged identification documents just one day from Rain City.
I feel that if this were to happen, the Henituse family would realize that Cale doesn’t think of himself as part of the family. I believe that even in canon, he had trouble accepting the Henituse family as his own, at least initially (which might be contradicted by Cale’s thoughts during his first encounter with Venion, but let a girl dream (ᵔ.ᵔ)).
The Henituse family could have quite interesting reactions if Hans ever informed them about the diary.
Lily might feel guilty and sad, somehow implying that her Oraboni is not part of the family, and she would try to change her way of thinking by spending more time with him.
Basen might feel guilty, thinking he’s replacing his Hyung-Nim, even though we know it’s not true. He would try to convince Cale to accept the heir position and distance himself, possibly no longer “bothering” him.
Violan, similarly, would feel guilty, being seen as a replacement for Jour. Instead of continuing to distance herself to allow him peaceful mourning time, she would try to spend more time with him to improve their relationship.
And Deruth would feel terrible; from Cale’s perspective, it might seem like he’s replacing Jour and Cale with Violan and Basen. Deruth’s distancing and problem-solving approach didn’t help either. In a brave moment, he would probably try to go to Cale and apologize for everything.
One of the things that has also been in my head for a while is Cale having a journal.
Like- Cale starts a journal when he realizes that he's going to be a lot more involved in the novel's events than intended so to make room for new records he writes things down
When it's songs that he liked as Krs, he'd scrapbook a background and write them down
He'd also add artwork on some pages and has art of people. Like Choi han training, Ron with the lemonaid, Alberu doing whatever- he'd do a bunch of profiles for each person or maybe just have a separate book for that all together-
Cale doesn't really let others see either book, just changing the topic when it comes up. Everyone eventually learns not to ask.
Would be very interesting if there was a connection with Og!Cale and Krs where krs!Cale began to dream about some of og!Cale's memories
After a particularly bad memory, Cale is more closed off towards Deruth and Deruth doesn't know what he did wrong.
Cale obviously puts something about this in his journal
In honor of og!cale, he makes a drawing of his mother and him and doesn't use the 'Henituse' last name, he uses 'Thames'
The thing that Cale has learned about the original Cale is that he's never really felt like he belonged with Violian and Deruth. Always feeling like he was intruding.
So for plot convenience, Cale is called by the crown prince in the middle of writing and leaves the book out in the open.
Hans, who's been assigned to clean Cale's room, See's a book that has no cover or title or anything and opens it out of curiosity.
Hans sees a few drawings of the kids and naturally is excited because 1- Cale can draw really well, and 2- He loves cats.
Then he keeps going through the book, looking through drawings of him, Ron, Choi han, and- the Henituse family with Cale not in the portrait.
Hans is confused. (Deep down, he knows exactly what this implies)
He assumes that the drawing isn't finished (it's already been signed) and closes the book with shakey hands. Maybe the Count doesn't need to know about this-
Except when he comes back next week, the drawing hasn't changed.
Huh.

Just posting my drafts now- honestly I do really like this idea, maybe I'll write something to go along with it later?
I should start making the second parts of things I've already posted lmao-
