like for example with shipping

sometimes i see people explain why the like rairpair x/y and im like "huh didnt even think about that." and then they explain the way the characters could compliment each other and im like "omg yeah" and then i start understanding and liking the ship/ the characters more

thats why im a multi shipper to a crazy degree

bc i think different pairings and dynamics can really change the way a character is seen by changing the focus on their traits.

and thats also why i think the "fight" some people do over a ship being "more canon" than another is so fucking stupid

sometimes we seem to forget fandom is for fun and not for accuracy

for example in tdlosk, i like to see canon saiki as aroace!

but i enjoy reading fanfic about a pairing with him in it aswell. That doesnt mean i want it to become canon or that i think it is logical in the universe of the show

that just means i wanna read a damn fanfiction

I think we all need to remind ourselves that shipping is purely for fun! And that having a "weird" ship doesnt mean you just "didnt understand canon"
