Sypnosis: Summary: F/N L/N, isagi's childhood best friend, recently started football. Turns out, they were a prodigy nobody could have seen coming. But it looks like someone's little brother caught their eye.

You sighed as you started walking towards your mirror - silently staring at your half-assed ‘idgaf’ outfit (you do gaf) , hair tied up in a messy bun, shirt slightly droopy revealing your shoulder and shorts. You were about to go out to buy groceries, but realized you had practice with rin.

With a small reluctant sigh, you started searching for your cleats and other stuff, removing your hair tied and watching as your hair falls down to it’s usual look, took off your shirt, put on your go-to practicing clothes and started heading out.

You were just about to go through the door until your mom called out to you and said “don’t take too long!” You sighed and said back: “okay, mom!” Before putting on your shoes and heading out.

Just as you were stepping into the train, you bumped into someone who was going in before you. Before you could even mutter an apology, he turned and mumbled “Y/N?” And your heart almost fell all the way down to your butt as you realized (by your misfortune) that you actually recognized that voice.

And of course out of everyone, you had to see the blond haired guy you had a love - hate relationship with, Hikaru Takahashi. Just as you were about to say something, he pulled you slightly closer by the waist since someone else was passing by next to you (in which you didn’t notice.)

He looked down at you and smiled, saying “good to see you. Haven’t seen you around school, since you’ve been skipping so much. Why’s that?” With a slightly forced chuckle and a hand rubbing the back of your neck, you mumbled out a “was busy with soccer stuff.. yeah.” Before looking up at him.

And once again, like last time, he said: “you’re going to practice, right? How about I accompany you, like last time? I kind of rushed in and ran off because of that rin guy.. he’s quite scary, but I can put up with it.”

Just as you were about to politely decline, he grabbed your hand and slightly dragged you out of the train when you arrived at your stop. He looked so casual about it, as if you weren’t basically trying to rip him off of you.

He has been acting weird since the last time you guys had interacted- more touchy, goo goo eyeing you, heck - people would confuse you guys as a couple if you didn’t back away from him every time he initiated something.

During crowded cross walks, he’d pull you in slightly closer than he actually should, and when you brought it up after, he would brushed it off and say “just keeping a pretty lady safe. Wouldn’t want anyone to take you away in this big crowd.”

You expected him to leave you alone when you guys were gonna be near the field, but oh no, of course, HIKARU wouldn’t do that.

As you guys were approaching the field, you’d expect him to back the fuck off because he saw rin, who didn’t exactly look too pleased - but instead, the dumbass leaned in towards you and was about to kiss you.

The air felt tense, and the time seemed to slow down - if not stopping completely. You were about to be kissed. Kissed by hikaru, the guy who literally bullied you up until high school. You thought it was weird when he randomly started being nice to you, but you didn’t expect for him to like you.

You weren’t sure what to do - shove him off? No, that would seem rude, what if you just slightly faked a fall so that he would miss? No, what if you injured yourself..?

You could feel the clock ticking. Before long, he was gonna kiss you. You ran out of options, and decided that this was it and that you couldn’t do shit to stop it. His lips were about to graze yours, and you were shutting your eyes, waiting for the inevitable.

Just as he was about to kiss you, you felt a strong force pull you towards them and further away from hikaru. You opened your eyes and saw - Rin!

You let out a sigh as you saw him, while hikaru looked slightly pissed off. “I’m not sorry if I interrupted something. Not only did she look uncomfortable, but it’s also time for pur practice and I simply can’t waste time with a lukewarm idiot like you. If you can’t even tell what a girl is thinking, you shouldn’t be trying to kiss them.” He huffed, shoving you a little closer than he needed to.

Just as hikaru was about to say something, he held back and sighed, putting on his fake smile. “Sure. Do what you want, itoshi. Your brother would sure as hell love that.”

You paused and gave hikaru a dirty look. Out of everything he could have said, he decided to go for the low blow?? Seriously, this guy was a living textbook example of a lukewarm idiot!!

Rin simply let out a ‘tch’ and turned to you, grabbing your wrist and pulling you towards the field. “I don’t have time for this. Atleast I have loving parents waiting for me back home, something that you seem to lack.”

——— later, during practice ———————————

Hikaru had already left by that point, leaving you and Rin alone. You were practicing your dribbling today - in which you didn’t mind because you weren’t exactly the best at it. Just as you were about to get your ball stolen by rin, he paused and looked at you.

“Hikaru. I don’t like him. You should cut him off, completely. Someone like that doesn’t deserve someone like… you.” He slightly hesitated at the last part, the tip of his ears burning red.

You paused and raised an eyebrow at rin’s statement. “Someone like… me? What’s that supposed to mean?? Am I weird?:(“ you let put as you stared at Rin, demanding some sort of explanation for what he had just stated.

He paused, realizing he worded it wrong and ‘tsk’d you before saying “I didn’t mean it like that, you idiot. No, you’re not weird. You’re amazing. I mean amazing at soccer!! And I meant what I said. You should cut off hikaru. He’s a distraction to your soccer career.” He paused. ‘If hikaru’s a distraction to her soccer career, aren’t I also technically one..?’ He thought.

You paused and looked at rin before saying “well I wouldn’t say that I like him or anything. Let’s call him an… ‘accidental’ friend. He used to be my old bully. Would throw rocks at me and stuff because I liked ‘weird’ stuff like bugs and bones and stuff while I was a girl. Thought he changed, but, I guess he’s still the same old hikaru - just more… fake now. I’ll cut him off, don’t worry.”

He nodded, and you guys continued your practice as usual. Though, something unusual happened. You saw Isagi enter the field! You practically stopped in your tracks and ran to hug him, before you could even ask why he’s here, he had already picked you up and yelled out a “Ego told me to bring you over to blue lock at 6:30 PM to go against kaiser!! Isn’t that like - insane!? You’re about to get into blue lock!! God, I can’t wait!!”

Rin paused and scowled when he saw isagi, mumbling a “why him..” under his breath before approaching. He eyed isagi up and down, swearing up and down he’s not jealous as he sees isagi hug you closer than he ever could. He sighed and said “so, it’s finally happening, huh.” Rin look at you and almost chokes on air at how pretty you look all excited and shit.

6:30 PM, huh…?

The results will speak for themselves, of course, but rin still silently hoped that you’d get into blue lock. It’d make charles’s and shidou’s antics feel a little less of a headache.

A/N: sorry for posting this lowkey kinda late… i was writing this in the bus so I has limited time😭🙏

You sighed and settled your phone down, already looking nervous. Doubts started creeping up - could you really do this? On your own, at that? You sat up from your bed and looked down at your packed up bags - you didn’t forget anything, right..?

After checking everything to make sure you didn’t forget anything, you settled back down and thought. ‘Alright, let’s do the maths..’ you mumbled under your breath as you started counting. Rin said it took him about 20 minutes to get from blue lock to your practicing place…

For you, it takes around 20-25 minutes. Adding that to the 20 minutes it takes for him to get there, it should take you around.. 40-45 minutes for you to get to blue lock’s facility!

Okay, that seems reasonable enough. You waited and waited, then saw isagi’s text:

Isagi: come outside, i’m here :3

You quickly grabbed your stuff and ran down the stairs, yelling a ‘goodbye mom!’ Before running outside. You met up with isagi and dabbed him up as you usually do.

(Ignore that that was lowk cringez😭)

You were about to say something until isagi started by saying “okay, so, we have to get there at 6:30 PM, so we really gotta hurry and take the train that comes at.. erm.. the train that comes the soonest!! Come on, we can’t waste time!” He grabbed your hand and started running.

“WAIT, SLOW DOWN, YOU IDIOT!!” You yelled as he practically dragged you to the train station, regretting ever listening to him. Why were you even doing this?? It was all supposed to be a stupid bet and now you got dragged into this whole- nonsense!!

“Nah, I say we go faster!” He said as he sped up and you were struggling just to keep up. Man, this reminded you of the days where you were late for school and he was dragging you out of your house, yelling ‘we have maths as the first lesson today!! You know that mr. Hishaki doesn’t go easy on us when we’re late!!!’ As he yanked you and forced you to run towards the bus.

(Timeskip to when you got to blue lock :3)

You stepped in, and damn was everything like a flipping labyrinth! If it wasn’t for isagi, you would’ve definitely gotten lost.. just as you were taking in the new environment around you, you bumped into someone when you entered the german stratum(?).

As you were about to apologize, you heard him say “pass auf, wo du hintrittst, Idiot.” (Watch your step, idiot.) and you looked up to see.. a guy with blond and blue hair?? He even had a blue rose tattoo! Who is this guy??

Isagi looked pissed off the second he heard him and said “that’s kaiser.” Before handing you an earplug, telling you to put it on.

And so, you did! You put it on, and.. you could… understand what kaiser was saying? So was this kind of like.. a translator? You looked at kaiser and before you could say hi, he said “so, you’re the one who I’m going to have to beat today? How cute, didn’t think I was dealing with a small fry.”

You paused when he laughed. Man this guy pissed you off! “Man - fuck off.” You mumbled before grabbing isagi’s hand and walking away. “Isagi, you’re totally right - barely even met this guy and he already ticks me off. I want nothing more than to punch him in his arrogant face!”

Isagi smirked and said “I don’t wanna tell you I told you so… BUTTT I told you so.”

(Time-skip to when the match against you and kaiser starter.. Ik theres alot of timeskips rn but BEAR WITH ME😭😭 also if some of these don’t sound right just so yk it’s because idk how to write kaiser and my knowledge about football is VERY limited…)

You being nervous was an understatement. You were scared the hell out of your flipping mind. At first, you thought kaiser was no big deal - but even then, you’re lowkey kinda scared.

The kick off started with kaiser having the ball - all you knew about him was that he had a skill called kaiser impact, and that was honestly it.

When he tried to score, you blocked, stole the ball and tried to score your OWN goal, but then he would block you - and that’s practically how half the match went until kaiser scored a goal. ‘Crap!’ Was your first thought.

You sighed and thought about it. This guy was a cocky, arrogant rat. But, with that said, he did have skills. You had 15 minutes left, and in those 15 minutes- you just said fuck it and went all out.

You ran with the ball at your top speed and surprisingly, kaiser was able to keep up. “This all you got, small fry?” He said as he smirked.

And god you wanted nothing more than to punch him and his face and shove it into a trashcan! Wait, no, focus, Y/N, focus.

You brushed kaiser off, ignoring him. Put then - kaiser almost stole the ball from you. Shit. If you lost this, you would loose all rights to ever represent japanese soccer - and that would be it.

As much as you wanted to say you didn’t care, you did. Soccer was the most fun shit you have ever done in your whole entire life - and honestly, you couldn’t see yourself without it.

Without even thinking, your mind went blank. You dribbled past kaiser, and shot the ball straight towards the goal. You were so far away - there’s no way the ball would reach THAT far, right…?

No. You couldn’t barely even think straight, and yet you did it - you scored a goal.

‘It isn’t over yet. One more goal, just one more goal…’ you mumbled under your breath.

You looked at the time: 5 minutes left. Kaiser had the ball, and you stole it from him when you noticed that his attention was divided: and before you knew it, you scored another goal.

You let out a sigh as you clicked ‘send’, before looking up at the door. The house-no, villa was MASSIVE. No wonder there were 4 people living here…! Actually, you were surprised it wasn’t the whole entire blue lock squad - surely it was necessary for it to be THIS big, right….?

As you were busy admiring the house, you soon realized that you REALLY needed to go inside… the wind was relentless, blowing your hair in 7 different directions, with you practically holding the wall to not get blown away. ‘When is this idiot going to open the door!?’ You let out a sigh of relief when he finally opened it.

Before you even stepped in, he chuckled at you before saying “you got yourself in a hell of a mess, girl.” Before you could reply, he had already left to tell the others that you were here. As the 3 others ascended from their cave, you silently told yourself ‘yup. I’m cooked. These guys are gonna be a fucking pain to deal with….’ You exhaled deeply as you took off your shoes and settled down your bag before settling down on a chair(as rin told you to.)

You were mentally preparing for rin to start asking questions, but it was actually shidou who was asking the questions here… so, once again, you are COOKED. You waited a bit before shidou finally opened his mouth. “So, like, when’s your birthday?” “Oh, it’s (Insert your birthday.)” “hmm, okay, where are you from?” “I’m from here. Japan.” “Right, right. Uhh.. guys, what esle should I ask?” Rin groaned as he pushed shidou aside. Rin started, saying, “do you have any pets?” “No, I don’t.” “Hmm, okay. Do you have allergies?” “Nope, none that I know of.” “Okay, do you drink?” “Well.. sometimes, but not often.” “Do you work from home?” “No, I don’t.” “Do you go to college?” “Yeah, I do.” “Okay.. do you smoke?” “No.” “Alright, what’s your workday routine?” “Uhm, it really depends on the day, but I often come home really late, so yeah.” “How would you handle conflict?” “Erm, depends on the situation, but I’d try to calm me and the other person down so we don’t cross any boundaries or get hurt.”

(Timeskip to after the interview..)

Rin sighed before turning to the other guys as he said, “yeah, she seems fairly normal… compared to karasu atleast. Alright, L/N-“ “you guys can call me Y/N.” “..okay, Y/N, you can go and pick out which room you’d like.”

You nodded as you got up and started wandering around the house before you pulled out your phone to text karasu.

You groaned and you finally got the last baggages into your room, with a smug karasu behind you carrying two massive ones as if it was nothing. You rolled your eyes as you saw the look on his face. Before you could say anything, he went, “yer’ overreacting. They ain’t that heavy, ya dimwit.”

And there did the flying sandal go! Straight to his face. “YOU SHOULD LEARN TO SHUT UP!” “OUCH- THAT HURT YA IDIOT!” You rolled your eyes before huffing out a, “just help me unpack, will you? Also don’t touch that bag.” “Why?” “My underwears are in them. DO NOT TOUCH.” “Sounds interestin’.” “TABITO.” “OKAY-OKAY.”

When he started helping you unpack, he noticed a particular picture you two took years ago. He gently picked it up from your bag, being extra careful not to break it before turning to you with a big grin on his face, before saying, “reminds me of the old days. Remember when ya once grabbed a boy by his ear and forced him to apologize to me?! That was frickin’ hilarious!” “THAT’S BECAUSE YOU WERE TOO MUCH OF A WUSS TO DO IT YOURSELF!” “WAS NOT!”

You rolled your eyes as you took the picture and settled it down on your desk. “Ya know, ya should probably put that in an.. errr… what’s it called again?” “Picture frame?” “Ya! That!” You let out a laugh and said, “yeah. You know what, maybe I should.” You could barely even say something else before shidou came in the room.

He was looking for karasu - and grinned when he saw you two together. “Dang, didn’t know she was taken, karasu.” “Shut up, you dimwit. We’re just friends.” “Thats what they all sayyyyy;3” “you little-!” Shidou grinned and ran out the room as karasu chased after him and you simply sighed. You were about to call karasu back to help you put something up, until otoya came into your room.

You paused when you saw him. You did as karasu asked and didn’t really speak to otoya - setting aside all the normal stuff such as ‘goodmorning’, ‘bye’, ‘hi’, things like that, but other than those moments, you barely spoke with the guy. As you were about to speak up, he went,

“Heard you calling for karasu, but he’s busy chasing down shidou right now… what did you need?” He said in such a nonchalant tone it almost pissed you off, but you simply sighed and answered his question. “Err, you see, I need to set up something and needed karasu’s help..” you admitted, to which otoya replied to with, “I can help. What is it you need to put up?” He said, tilting his head slightly.

“Ah, just something for my closet,” you said as you opened the closet doors as to show him. (not sure what to call them), you pointed at a pole(?) you’re supposed to put up (the kind in which you need to hang your clothes on). “Ah, okay, I see. Let me help.” He said, slightly hesitating to come in the room, as if asking you for permission to enter. As you nodded, he entered and started working.

“Alright, all done.” He muttered after a few minutes, turning to you. “Ah, thanks. How can I repay you?” You said as your gaze met his. “Hm, you don’t need to. ‘S what roommates do, right? Don’t worry ‘bout it.” He said before pausing, and then he went, “if you really wanna repay me, you could come with me to visit this new record shop that opened last week?” You hesitated for a little bit before choking out a, “yeah… sure.” He nodded as he left the room.

What you didn’t expect to see as he left the room, though, was a very-much-not-pleased-karasu. He scoffed as he entered the room. “Are you mad at me?” You said, turning to him. “Mad at you? ‘Fcourse not. Could never be mad at you.” He then paused before saying, “mad at otoya, tho.”

“He seems like a nice guy, tho.” You replied, turning to karasu. “Tch. Sure. Whatever floats your boat, doll.” He snarked pack. You rolled your eyes before hitting his shoulder playfully. “Ouch! What was that for, ya dimwit!?” He squeaked, rubbing his shoulder.

“For being jealousssssss~” “I’M NOT JEALOUS.” “AM!” “AM NOT!” “AMMMM!~~~~” AM NOT!!!” He rolled his eyes before muttering, “yer a dumbass. Why would I be jealous of YOU- OUCH!” He once again squeaked out as you hit his shoulder. “Why’s my shoulder the victim here!?” “Cuz you’re being rude, that’s why!” “AM NOT!” You rolled your eyes before just plopping down on your bed and sighing.

“Come sit here, tabito.” “Tabito? No tabi?” “I called you that ONCE in middle school, tabito! Get over it!” He chuckled before settling down on your bed and letting out a, “eh, I liked it. You should call me that more often, Y/N.” He smirked before looking down at you.

You scowled and grabbed a pillow, throwing it at him. “And YOU should stop wearing that god-awful hair gel!” Karasu was about to snark back before getting a notification. Looking at it, he once again sighed, standing up before saying, “gotta go. Got work to do. Can I get a goodbye hug?” “Not even in your dreams, you doofus!” You say as you stand up and hug him.

“Okay.. don’t forget to come down to the bar tomorrow night, ‘kay? Me and the rest of the guys are gonna be there, so unless you come, you’ll be alone in the house.” He reminded you as your warmth melted away as you settled back on your bed.

“That sounds delightful and peaceful.” You grinned back as he rolled his eyes before going, “right then, I’ll be off. If shidou annoys you, tell rin.” “Yeah, okay, I’ll remember that.” After that, he walked out of your room.

As he left, you stood there, pondering about what you could do. You decided to dress up and go to a library! Surely nothing would go wrong, right?

You just now realized how terribly wrong you were as you spotted a few of karasu’s teammates in the library.
