About

This is a project to translate the Yatagarasu series from the original japanese to english. The current plan is to first translate 空棺の烏 (The Raven of the Empty Coffin), the 4th book in the series that follows the events adapted in the anime. Some scenes from previous books will be also translated ahead of time to fill in the missing lore from the adaptations.

Inner yoo joonghyuk on daily basis nowadays (he’s slowly going insane)

Bonus: kim dokja’s in the background like, "I wonder why yoo joonghyuk has anger issues"

♀️ Kim Dokja growing out her hair because she thinks it's Yoo Joonghyuk's type because of Lee Seolhwa, though she would NEVER say it out loud. Her little secret. But then when the scenarios happen, she ends up cutting it all short because it's easier for her in battle without it all in her face or risking it fall out of a bun. She is low-key upset about it. She's had long for so long, so part of her feels lost now that her look is totally changed. She looks a little too much like a boy (though Jang Hayoung assures her she's plenty cute). She's also bummed because even if she never REALLY expected to get together with Yoo Joonghyuk, she still wanted that little window, you know? Now she doesn't even have a hope of being his type unless she grows her hair out again, which wouldn't be practical and would take years.

Little does she know is that Yoo Joonghyuk becomes smitten after seeing her with short hair. It's not that he didn't like her when it was longer too, but he hadn't thought much of his companion's looks until such a drastic change occurred. So now it's like the floodgate has opened. Things will be a little rough for him lol

i forgot that kim namwoon offers to team up with kim dokja.......literally this representation of his younger self is reaching his hand out to kim dokja and he responds by fucking brutally killing him. because he couldn't bear the idea of working with someone who reminds him so clearly of himself........

i tried to make a venn diagram but my migraine is ironically too bad for me to have the brain power to take the time to fix the proportions and then i locked one of the text layers and got pissed off and gave up. but i kind of like it all fucked up like this

Orv Live Action took away his sword rights 😔

TWSA gets a live action adaptation. nobody knows what the original source is, and a few chapters dissuades most people from reading further, but the thing is... the casting is phenomenal. top list actors all the way through. how did the producer even get all of them on this bumfuck novel's adaptation in the first place? who knows. but any concerns about quality due to the subpar source are squashed the moment the first trailer comes out.

it's action-packed, the actors look incredible, and most importantly, it looks fun. it's clear the plot has been heavily tweaked to fit a live-action format, and hey! they even gave the mc a gun (since swords just aren't as cool, obviously). everyone's happy!

except one very pissed off canon purist.

hey. you're doing great :) I think that blorbo of yours should be shot in an alleyway with no one around, terrified and alone, and forced to struggle back to their home base trailing blood along the concrete behind them, and collapse in a shocked caretaker's arms, though. that's just my opinion. keep thrivin :)
