ahhhh that makes sense. i really tried to enjoy jegulus but i think its more the regulus part i cant get behind. him and the other slytherins have had so much of their past/future erased that i tend to dislike their characters. i definitely prefer the black sisters because (on my fyp at least) people are much more open to embracing their dark side. HOWEVER i did read a jegulus fic that i really enjoyed so🤷‍♀️. its also really odd cause i find jegulily to be pretty cute (only in muggle aus tho cause i feel like regulus has too much blood supremacy drilled into him)

pls no one come for me on this but i feel like james is just so white boy coded. like he exudes british white boy energy. he just. i respect all those who hc him as poc but hes like (in my brain) the definition of a white boy. like in my head him and lily are the most annoyingly cute white straight couple that everyone still loves. anyways thanks for coming to my ted talk.

valentine's day headcanons

wolfstar

they have dates in the astronomy tower where they smoke and talk about anything and everything

sirius writes remus poetry, remus writes sappy cards (he tries to make his handwriting readable)

they avoid madam puddifut's. neither of them like it, it's too flashy for their taste. they've gone once, though; she was a dear, but the shop was not their kind of thing

the only day (when they share their cigarettes with each other) without bickering

hold hands under the table; love all the decorations that the school puts up

dorlene

their absolute favorite holiday as a couple, so they try to make the most of it

dorcas makes marlene jewelry, and marlene somehow manages to find flowers to give dorcas

their date is the three broomsticks and then zonko's. neither of them would miss a good prank, even on valentine's day

go off and crash everyone's dates for fun (none of them actually mind it)

stop by at madam puddifut's but they don't stay; they just say hi to her and off they go

the king and queen of being saps

james writes very cheesy and extra poetry (think eyes as green as a fresh-pickled toad) and lily gives him little handmade gifts throughout the day

they love madam puddifut's, and they would go there even after they graduated

have breakfast in bed (james cooks it; lily always wakes up later than him, and she's not the best of cooks)

lily bakes cookies, though, with little hearts on them, white chocolate and cherry filling; james adores them

regulus pretends to hate valentine's, but he doesn't fool anyone. when he's with james, everything's brilliant

regulus writes poetry; james brings regulus flowers, always a different sort ("a change of decor in your gloomy room, ay?")

they have a picnic outside, even though it's bloody freezing; they do some heating charms and they can keep staying there

at the end of the day, each of them has a huge bouquet of flowers to match

lily and james wear silly little valentine's outfits; at some point, regulus joins them in doing so, too, and they all love it

they walk, together, around hogsmeade and the grounds, and they visit hagrid to meet all the new weird animals he's gotten

xenophilius suggests hunting for nargles and pandora, although she knows they don't exist, joins him in his quest (she never saw anything, but xenophilius swore he saw something in the bush next to the forbidden forest)

they also have a picnic with food they made themselves

they give each other little kisses all the time

narcissa pretends to hate valentine's too, but she can't help herself when alice is her valentine

alice gives her sappy cards throughout the day, and narcissa writes her love letters and gives her jewelry

they spend most of the day in their dorm, giving each other makeover and trying on each other's clothes

alice makes the fudgiest brownie ever and she makes both of them two of them and they get eaten immediately

yall i miss jily😭😭😭 not like its gone but like the marauders used to be so happy sunshine gryffindor vibes. but also i feel like we collectively all forget how much james potter HATED slytherin. idk i also think that yes death eaters were humans BUT they also killed so many people like are we forgetting that barty crouch jr literally tortured alice and frank longbottom he is at fault for neville growing up without his parents😭 i genuinely think that people forget that evan, barty etc. actually killed people and killed people who were probably friends with the marauders. ik that everyone deserves a second chance but seriously???? do you actually think that the rosiers were good people and didn't hate and discriminate against muggleborns??? NOT EVERYONE HAS A TRAGIC BACKSTORY IDK SOME OF THEM ARE JUST EVIL. the way everyone defends evan rosier (love his character but i have beef with the way he gets away with being a death eater later on) but snape, who i absolutely detest, hate and think should have died earlier, who also actually did something that was not evil in his lifetime, is the most hated marauders character like????? and the black sisters???? yes love a complex female character but are we seriously trying to redeem bellatrix? do we not remember WHAT SHE SCARED ON HERMIONE LIKE WHAT. and love the newer marauders fandom but everyones so emo and depressed this is supposed to be FUN. also the characters feel so ooc. everytime i see casanova remus lupin im like 'huh thats supposed to be sirius and james???' love remus but my boy aint rizzing anyone up hes a shy af introvert. and jegulus is so cute but remember that james is #no.1slytherinhater and he was absolutely smitten with lily evans FROM THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. REMEMBER WHEN JILY WAS THE BACKBONE OF THE MARAUDERS? like they ate fr. this became a whole ass paragraph damn i did not know i had so much to say about this. i can lowkey already sniff the comments or thoughts saying 'oh let us have our fun its just a story' im not stopping you this is just my opinion. 'oh none of this is actually proven' please give me a break😭🙏 like most of the source material goes against the fandoms perception of the marauders. 'fuck jkr we'll do what we want' youve basically just made 10 million ocs and give them names of characters like im eating up all the marauders content but genuinely can we go back to the happier times??

YES, the la was rushed but hello they got 8 episodes? og was like 20+, and the episodes from last are not over 2x in length

C'MON AZULA'S PRETTY GOOD, like the way she acts is soooo azula. the la isn't a carbon copy of the og, ofc azula will be different. personally, i'm excited if they elaborate on her complexities a little more. also, fat shaming? seriously???? like wtf shes a young adult? plus, shes absolutely gorgeous, and the og azula looking normal doesnt really strike fear into my heart, it gives more literal princess vibes. its only when azula is smirking/being serious that i find her scary
