About a week ago I posted this.

I’ve been getting horrible messages like this in my ask for months, including:

and my personal favorite

After getting the message saying “Just go kill yourself” I was completely done dealing with this person’s horrible messages and replied with just an “Okay.” and logged off tumblr.

About a week later I logged back on with 17 messages in my ask, most of them from the anon. I scrolled down and at first when I logged off, the anon messaged me things like

I scrolled up more and all of a sudden they started sending me more and more messages like

This was extremely surprising to me. I thought “After all those horrible messages you sent to me for MONTHS about hating me and wanting me dead, you say ‘sorry’ and that you ‘cant be responsible for someone’s suicide’?”

But I guess the lesson goes like this:

DONT TELL ANYONE TO KILL THEMSELVES UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED FOR WHAT MIGHT ACTUALLY HAPPEN

YOU!!!

Yeah, you. The writer who has only written a drabble and the writer who has written ten full length novels. The writer who writes fanfic, a combo of fan and orig- fic or original fic only. The writer who gets very little views/kudos/comments and the writer who routinely swims in them. The new writer, the more experienced writer, and everything in between. 

And you - the artist who doodles quick little sketches, the artist who spends days on a full length painting. The artist who draws comics, or action scenes, or delicious NSFW erotica, or the heart-swelling romance. The artist who’s learning and just starting out and the artist who has years under their belt. 

Also you - the quilter, the plushie maker, the vid creator, and everything else creative I may have forgotten to mention. 

YOU are amazing. You’re special and NEEDED and very much valued no matter what your contribution is, because it’s ALL important.

This document has "Drawing" elements! To edit a "drawing" simply right-click, "select image," and the box that pops up underneath has a button that says "edit." Edit will bring you to a pop-up window that will allow you to replace the image when you click it. - All pictures on this template are Drawings! To edit them, enter the Drawings window, click the image circle, and then select "replace image" at the top.

To change the colors of the background image, click the background in a place where there's no text (top right usually works, if not, right-click > "select image") then click "image options" and drop the side open the dropdown for "recolor." You will have to change every page individually. - If you want to make it the dark mode/negative version, change it to black, and then on the content of the page either highlight it all or press ctrl+a to select all and change the font to a visible color.

Resizing any images on the doc will cause things to move or elements of the design to be hidden.

The pictures are of Anya Chalotra, please change them to your fc, they are just placeholders.

You are welcome to change the font but it may cause tables to shift and move so beware. Resize as necessary.

The tables are structured in a way that will move pages and elements if their limit is exceeded, if you need more space, I highly recommend linking to a continuation at the end of that space.

i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping

A COMPROMISE
