a post on getting through the summer flawlessly as a dream girl <3
getting through summer looks likeโฆ basking & glowing in the beautiful sun, traveling, going out with ease, having fun, being messy and more. so letโs begin.
what does your ideal summer for this year look like? ideas, moodboards
physical:ย summer essentials, what to wear, makeup looks, luxuries, summer reads and bucket lists.ย
mental: mindset, wellness, readsย and bucket list ideas
you create the definition of dream girl and it can always change. so decide what your mind and body needs. is this a time for healing? or is this a time to be adventurous?
do you see yourself in nature, enjoying the silence after a chaotic winter and spring? or going to parties, hanging out with friends, meeting new people and trying so many new things?
or why not both? ๐
some bucket list ideas:
spend more time outside than on your phone
have a morning routine. donโt lose structure in the day. switch it up for summer and make it fun.
make a list of nice restaurants in the city to try out
plan out picnic dates
buy disposable cameras and have them developed at the end of summer!
go skydiving
go to a fancy hotel bar and leave the place with someoneโs number (or many)
go on late night drives!
explore a random city
try out new foods
most important of all: follow your gut. keep your safety your #1 priority.
sunscreen duhh, is a must no matter the season, especially for summer.
โคท apply sunscreen before you go out and reapply ever 2 hours. look for products that are: lightweight & nonsticky, donโt leave a white cast, spf 50++
anything from sol de janeiro ugh <3
waterproof jewelry
sunglasses
sea salt spray
shimmer body oil
after sun care
your signature scent for summer (scent recommendations below)
pack light andย smart with makeup if youโre one to touch up: lipstick (can be used for your eyes and cheeks also), eyeliner, etc.
hair clips/ties
qtips for makeup smudges
mini fan to cool down
small wallet
have fun andย unplugย but if itโs a must, carry a portable charger if you didnโt charge it in the car or before you left the house.
tissues (for sweat, blotches)
sundresses
mini !! skirts !!
mules
bikini tops as regular tops
gold hoop earrings
silk scarves
flowy bottoms, skirts, dresses
a cute cover up
patterns
mini bag
backless tops
the sun is out so itโs only natural for me to want to glow when the sun is hitting my face and body โก i love to really highlight my highest points.
applying subtle gold shimmer on your eyelids
lipgloss!
preferably one that is hydrating, slightly pigmented to bring out the colors in your lips & glowy. not sticky. my recommendation is the dior lip glow stick.
highlighter
my favorite is macโs strobe highlighter in peachlite. it honestly gives my skin such a beautiful and subtle pink glow to my face!! i love applying it before my makeup.
โคท donโt forget your collarbones and shoulders.
there is nothing else that makes me feel like a radiating goddess walking down the street when i put highlighter on my body.
โคท also, layering powder products on top of wet/creamy products make them more pigmented! this is why you see some people wet their eyeshadow brushes before dipping them into the product โก
blushed & flushed or nothing!
who doesnโt love a good blushed face during the summer? just because your blush is visible doesnt mean youโre wearing too much!!!! own it!!
have fun with subtle pops of color ๐
it doesnโt have to be too crazy. keep it simple.
ideas can be:
- two toned eyeshadows
- colorful winged eyeliners
- a bold lip
nails โก
- fun & bright colors like orange & blue
- if you want to keep it simple: french tips, nudes!
marc jacobs perfect
delina - de marly
le labo thรฉ noir 29
chanel chance
replica beachwalk & bubble bath
tom ford soleil blanc, lost cherry, neroli portofino, bitter peach
good chemistry coco blush
victoria secret bombshell beach
ariana grande - sweet like candy
solinotes cherry blossom
nothing better than a good summer read. here are some recommendations!
my year of rest and relaxation - ottessa moshfegh
it happened one summer - tessa bailey
hook, line, and sinker - tessa bailey
beach read by emily henry
people we meet on vacation by emily henry
book lovers by emily henry
one hot italian summer - karina halle
malibu rising - taylor jenkins reid

๐ a love letter to the girls who feel everything all at once
hi angel. mindy here.
i just want to talk to you for a second. not as a persona, not as a brand, not even as a blog, but as a girl who started typing into a blank text box one day and never stopped.
because the truth is, i didnโt make this blog because i was healed. i made it because i was hurting.
and somewhere between the aesthetic pinterest photos, the late-night diary entries, the posts that only got 3 notes, the 2am reblogs of girls who looked like soft versions of my pain... i found something. i found you.
โฟ
i didnโt know i was creating a life raft when i made this blog. but looking back, i can see it so clearly now: i was a girl who needed a safe place to feel everything. to be too much, too emotional, too ambitious, too dreamy. irl, i felt like i was being graded for everything, my appearance, my intelligence, my tone of voice, even the way i sat in a chair. everything had to be curated and clean and perfect.
but on here? on tumblr? i could fall apart in lowercase.
i could write things like โi feel like a forgotten ballerina in a dusty theaterโ and no one would ask me if i was okay. theyโd just reblog it with โme too.โ and somehow, that felt more healing than any conversation iโd ever had.
โฟ
girlblogging didnโt just save my life. it gave me one.
a life where i could romanticize my flashcards, where healing could look like claw clips and classical music and drinking water in a wine glass. a life where i could turn loneliness into poetry and ambition into art. a life where i wasnโt just surviving... i was curating, creating, soft-launching a girl i had always dreamed of being.
i started girlblogging when i didnโt have the words for what i was feeling. but now i know, it was grief. it was burnout. it was self-abandonment. and slowly, one pink post-it thought at a time, i started writing my way back to myself.
โฟ
when people ask what girlblogging even is, i just smile. because itโs not something you can explain in one sentence. itโs something you feel.
itโs the way you post blurry photos of your eyeliner because it makes you feel powerful. itโs the way you build entire personalities out of fictional girls like spencer hastings, wonyoung, cher horowitz, and elle woods. itโs the way you turn your trauma into templates and your survival into routines. itโs how we whisper โyouโre not aloneโ to each other through digital scraps of diaries, gifs, playlists, and checklists titled โง how to feel like yourself again.
girlblogging is archiving your girlhood in real-time. and i think thatโs the most radical thing weโve ever done.
โฟ
iโve met girls here who are quiet geniuses. girls who write like moonlight. girls who study like the world is ending. girls whoโve taught me how to rest, how to flirt with life again, how to turn breakdowns into soft resets. girls who made me feel seen in a way real life never did.
and the best part? theyโre just like me. just like you. weโre all here, in this glittery corner of the internet, building worlds from our bedrooms, lighting candles for each other, sending each other healing in the form of moodboards and poetry and routines.
this is a community of unspoken survival. we never say it directly. we just post something beautiful and hope someone else recognizes the ache behind it.
and we do. every time.
โฟ
so this is my love letter. to you. to the girlbloggers. to the dreamers who stayed up late to make a new aesthetic header even though they had homework. to the girls who reblogged posts about self-worth while silently trying to believe them. to the ones who took notes like it was an artform. to the ones who healed in lowercase and sparkles. to the ones who are still learning how to love themselves in soft, sustainable ways.
you saved me. girlblogging saved me. you taught me how to live again.
and i just want to say... whatever youโre going through, youโre not weird for needing this space. youโre not cringey for making everything an aesthetic. youโre not โtoo muchโ for feeling everything at once.
youโre just a girl in the middle of becoming. and thatโs a sacred thing.
never let the world convince you that softness isnโt powerful. it is. it always has been.
โฟ
so keep posting your little poems and guides. keep updating your theme at 1am. keep reblogging things that feel like you. because maybe girlblogging isnโt about being seen. maybe itโs about seeing yourself for the first time in forever.
and maybe thatโs enough.

I used to write to make moots now I'm gonna start writing because I want to and because there is a shortage of drabbles ๐ญ
Creating a proper morning routine can be so much fun, especially now that so many people are starting summer break; it's the perfect time to get used to a new routine! <3
Open your curtains + Window. Fresh air and sunshine are always good for you.
Read something, waking up the brain, haha.
Say good morning to your pets and/or plants. It's something cute.
Wash your face and brush your teeth. Best feeling in the morning.
Drink a glass of water and take your vitamins. I like taking my vitamins on an empty stomach, so a bit before breakfast.
Make yourself breakfast; I never understood how people can go without breakfast. I would be dead by noon, lol.
Try eating breakfast outside; literally so relaxing.
Exercise, go for a walk, try some yoga or pilates.
Journal, Paint, blog. Do something creative that makes you feel good and inspired; I obviously write blog posts, hahah.
Brew a fresh cup of coffee or tea. Slay.
Connect with your friends or family. A simple good morning text is enough and might make their day a bit better :)
Choose an outfit. Whatever you feel comfortable with, your clothes should always empower you!
Put on your favorite perfume; I like 'Thank U Next' by Ariana grande, 'Black Opium' by YSL, or Victoria's Secret body spray.
Make your bed and maybe tidy up your room a bit.
List three things you want to do today. You can also write down more but don't push yourself too much.
Do your makeup and/or hair, I'm currently trying more simple makeup for summer, and I'm loving it!!
Listen to your favorite song, my fav atm is Cry Baby by The Neighbourhood, lol.
Please feel free to add more suggestions in the comments! <3
