I'm pretty new to art and trying to learn color to... weird results. I really love the way you use color in your art, it's like, the prettiest thing ever!! Could you make a tutorial or explain how you do it?

I can't make a full tutorial right now but the gist of color palettes is finding colors that work together, most colors can work together if you find the right hue, I usually just wing these but it's basically about keeping an eye on the color saturation/brightness and make sure it's in range of the other colors

in a color palette usually you'll want to stick to 4-6 colors (loosely speaking) when it comes to entirely different colors, if you have many similar hues sometimes it can be better to just make it one (for example if you have several small details in a picture that don't necessarily need to be of different colors, u can just use colors already present in the palette for them)

and then there's colors u can use for shading! once you have your base color you use the slider on the color wheel to pick an adjacent shade and then pick a lighter or darker color within range and there u have it

there's just so many possible combinations also like desaturated colors + bright colors, the whole neon colors scale.. color theory stuff like complementary colors, anyway I hope this helps a little!

oh my god this is TERRIBLE advice? holy shit?? this person might mean "force landlords to go through the legal process and threaten eviction" but like. AVOID AN EVICTION AT ALL COSTS. an eviction on your record will have massive repercussions and will make finding housing very difficult!

what you should do (in the US at least), is:

look up your local (generally state level but this can vary) laws about how much notice is required to vacate. if you have no lease (and even if you pay no rent), you are generally considered in most states to be on a month-to-month lease. act accordingly. if you've signed a lease, you are not required to leave unless you have broken the lease per its own terms. this includes if the place is being sold. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LEAVE.

ensure the landlord is taking the actual legal steps to vacate - i.e. serving the correct paperwork. a text message is not correct paperwork. an email is not correct paperwork.

only communicate over text or email. do not make any agreements over the phone. if you MUST, record the conversations after checking if your state is a one party consent state.

DO NOT LISTEN TO A LANDLORD FOR LEGAL ADVICE. they have every reason to lie to you. research your own area's laws. many places have free or low cost legal clinics or assistance for those at risk of eviction. look on your city or county website.

and most importantly AVOID AN ACTUAL EVICTION AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!

use & for friendships, colleagues, familial relationships and use / for romantic or sexual relationships (or encounters)

not everyone reads fic. Lots of people use screen readers, and screen readers can’t see what’s on images. use descriptive text to help them out.

lots of people download fic to read on other devices, not all downloads capture images too.

there’s a big difference between No Archive Warnings Apply (NAWA) and Author Chose Not to Use Archive Warnings (CNTW). NAWA means that there’s nothing in the fic that needs to be warned for using the official Archive Warning system. CNTW means there might be something that requires a warning and the author is either avoiding giving out spoilers or they are unsure how to interpret their plot point with respect to the official Warnings. (in both cases, additional tags are where it’s at - you can explain yourself there) 

the reason why the number of bookmarks in the fic is different from the number of bookmarks on your stats page is because your stats page number includes bookmarks that are hidden

there’s a preference setting where you can receive emails with your own comments/replies.

there’s a site skin that hides stats so you don’t have to see them

writing in rich text format makes my life easier

knowing html allows me to do fun things in the comments section like comment/reply with reaction gifs

knowing html also allows me to do interesting formatting in my fics that I can’t do with rich text alone

those little blue bubbles with the question marks in them will answer my questions a lot of the time - and also teach me something new

the FAQ is linked under the word About in the header

if you write your fic in the draft window, you might end up losing it so make sure you copy the text before you hit Post, just in case

Somehow through my hatred of crypto and NFTs I’ve become a person who knows a lot about crypto and NFTs.
