When SZA said “lonely enough to let you treat me like this”
Me: WebMD, why does my finger hurt?
WebMD: You died eight years ago
“Uh oh.”
Continuing in the vein of snow leopards being the most extra cats ever, here’s mom Kira being “surprised” by one of her cubs. Sisters Naphisa and Pandora were born at the Stone Zoo on May 6th. Since those videos of big cats “over-reacting” to being pounced by their cubs are so popular, I asked where this behavior comes from - are they really hamming it up, or is it genuine surprise? One of Kira’s zookeepers noted it looks a lot like her normal play behaviors, so there’s a good chance it’s one of her ways of playing with her cubs. Since most play behaviors are crucial to teaching baby animals the skills they’ll need to survive as adults, it makes sense that snow leopard play would include stalking and pouncing!

From what I understand, it is a syndrome which causes
weight gain in abdomen and back,
striae of the abdomen, thighs, breasts, and arms,
thicker/more visible body/facial hair,
irregular or absent periods,
fatigue,
muscle weakness,
depression, anxiety, irritability,
loss of emotional control,
cognitive difficulties
All symptoms which I’ve been having. So I’m like alright. What causes it?
An excess of the hormone cortisol.
This happens when:
You take something called corticosteriod for an extended period of time
The body’s own overproduction
Now, I am not on a corticosteriod. My next question: Why would I be over producing this hormone?
A pituitary gland tumor. Benign, but dangerous none the less.
An ectopic ACTH-secreting tumor. (ACTH is what tells the body to make more cortisol.) These tumors, as I understand it, have an equal chance of being benign or malignant. They are found in a lung, pancreas, thyroid or thymus gland.
A primary adrenal gland disease. Disorder of the adrenal gland. Benign tumor on the adrenal cortex. Cancerous forms of this tumor are rare, but with my luck…
Familial Cushing’s syndrome. Rare, genetic.
Okay, so I’ve already done the physical exam, urinalysis, and the blood work. Next question: What if I have it? How goes the treatment of this syndrome?
If the testing comes back and suggests so, I will have to submit to a CT or MRI. Fun fun.
Treatment involves:
Surgery. To remove the tumors. If they are present. Then there will be drugs to take to replace hormones.
Radiation therapy. Oh joy. This will happen if the surgeon can’t remove the tumor or if they simply say I can’t have the surgery. Six weeks.
Medications. More pills.
Then, all which will be left is to take it slow and recover.
I’m kind of really worried about this.

We may know Thor, the God of Thunder, as one of the most popular Marvel characters, but it’s time for everyone to meet the Bengal cat with the same name.
The majestic appearance of this cat leaves everyone speechless, and so will you if you take a look at the images below.
Thor has a unique sandy fur and beautiful emerald green eyes, so it’s no wonder that he became a real Internet sensation the moment his photos appeared online.
The combination of mesmerizing eyes and attractive fur pattern makes him look like a true Bengal tiger, only in a small version.
Rani Cucicov is the owner of Thor who says he feels like a servant when his beautiful cat opens his mouth. But, he gets a lot of love in return.
In fact, he describes Thor as an active and lovable cat. One minute you see him climbing on the walls, the next one he goes to bed to sleep.
He likes to play a lot, especially before going to bed.
He loves to be the first to check when someone rings the bell and meows if he likes the person he sees.
What’s more, Rani says his cat has quite a domineering personality, just like a Bengal tiger.
The cat may give all the love and affection to his owners, but he expects to be treated like a king. What a character!
We can’t unsee his charm, can we?
