Japanese are working on developing technology to transmit electricity wirelessly. Their goal is to transmit energy from orbiting solar panels to Earth by 2030. They have successfully transmitted 10 kW of energy 500 meters away.
Cool man... It's just DAMN cool đđ.
In reference to never using the word âveryâ when writing, Mark Twain said, âSubstitute âdamnâ every time youâre inclined to write âveryâ; Your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be.â Source
Nikola Tesla once paid an overdue hotel bill with a âworking modelâ of his 'death beamâ. He warned the staff never to open it, describing it as a war-ending particle weapon that could stop invading armies and make warfare pointless. After his death in 1943, someone finally pried the box open and found nothing but a bunch of harmless old electrical components. Source

Pirates didnât make their captives walk the plank. Though big fans of torture methods like flogging and marooning, there are no actual records of pirates using a plank. The first mention of plank walking was in a 1724 fictional novel by author Daniel Defoe, but if real-life pirates wanted to drown someone, they probably just threw them off the boat. Source Source 2
Although European Space Agencyâs comet-landing mission Rosetta ended on 30 September, the data gathered through it will keep teaching us about comets for a while.Â
Here are images taken by the Rosetta spacecraftâs camera when Comet 67P/ChuryumovâGerasimenko approached closest to the Sun in August. The comet became very active and outbursts occurred, a typical one thought to release 60â260 tonnes of material in just few minutes!Â
The outburst can be divided into three categories based on how their dust flow looks like, and the outbursts occurred both when the Sun had started to warm up the previously shaded surface, and after illumination of a few hours. [1] So the outbursts could happen in at least two different ways.
Anyhow, they provide scientists insights of cometary lives and they look pretty cool.Â

HAPPY BDAY TO YOU:(post by DID-YOU-KNOW)
Every year on August 5, the Mars Curiosity rover celebrates the anniversary of its arrival by singing the Happy Birthday song. To itself. All alone. On Mars. Source Source 2
I had to post this in hopes that maybe it wonât be so lonely if weâre all thinking about⌠it.
