Luffy is loud but I like to think some rare nights he would quietly cuddle Zoro and they'd talk in a hushed tone, laugh at whatever they whispered to each other, hands softly would touch the other all night, lips would find the other's skin with every sentence, their foreheads pressed together and they could feel each other's lip moving when they talk, breath their air, feel them alive... Those rare nights happen when Zoro and Luffy get separated and miss the other whole time.
If the birth parents are alive and they actually did abandon a little baby on a random island, Luffy and Zoro (probably the whole crew too) will kill them. The whole straw hat crew probably has some sort of abandonment childhood trauma of some kind.

After a fight, Zoro and Luffy had gone to bath, Chopper's order, but Luffy could not hold back his hunger when he saw Zoro's sweaty and bloody body. He pressed his hands hard against the wet skin and moved his lips over Zoro's skin, inhaled his scent deeply. He was rubbing hard on Zoro's thigh. He stuck out his tongue and licked blood and sweat from Zoro's shoulder. As Luffy took the skin under his lips between his teeth and sucked it, Zoro got his hands on Luffy's ass and pushed Luffy to himself, pressed their groin together harder. While kneading Luffy's cheeks, he tilted his head slightly and looked down at Luffy. Luffy, with dilated pupils and panting, was trying to lick Zoro's body as much as he could, and the sight of it made Zoro excited even more. Zoro slightly leaned down, pressed his lips to Luffy's temple, and left kisses on his face. When he reached Luffy's ear, he stuck out his tongue and licked Luffy's ear. The wet feeling in his ear slightly shook Luffy's hip movements. Zoro took the ear under his tongue between his lips and sucked it hard, Luffy's breath hitched. He wrapped his arms around Zoro's shoulder and dig his nails into skin underneath it. He turned his face and started to leave wet kisses on Zoro's neck. He grabbed Zoro's hair with one of his hands and pulled it hard. Zoro let go of Luffy's ear with a disappointed sigh. There was a trail of saliva between Zoro's lips and Luffy's ear. Luffy looked at wet lips and gulped, his hunger getting worse every minute he looked at Zoro.

I like the idea of Luffy laying down on Zoro's chest, speak with him while Zoro's cock is inside of him and move lazily only when he feels Zoro's cock gets soft. He just likes the feeling of Zoro being so close to him. zoro conveniently wearing an all black iteration of his traditional outfit for the battle luffy would later activate gear 5, an all white iteration of his traditional outfit. zoro conveniently activating “king of hell” with the backdrop of the moon during the same battle luffy activated “sun god: nika.”
i really believe these were intentional decisions to make zoro and luffy, captain and first mate, inseparable. all these parallels were done with the foresight and purpose to make zoro and luffy two halves of a whole. light and dark, sun and moon, life and death, angel and demon, liberation and punishment, beginning and end, heaven and hell. intertwined on such a fundamental level that they complete each other, they can’t exist without one another, and wherever one is, the other will follow as if it’s as vital as ground beneath their feet or air in their lungs.
I love how Oda can't move on without matching zolu. Luffy got eye scar? Give one Zoro. Zoro has a scar on his chest that was happened on important moment in his life? Give the same to Luffy. Luffy has haki? It's time for you to get it too Zoro. Oh king of hell? Well here you go Sun God.
alright why do almost all zolu shippers gloss over the fact that zoro sacrificed his dream and life for the whole crew and not just for luffy. I know it's an important zolu moment but but I don't see why you guys have to tunnel vision on the Luffy part only and dismiss everyone else in the crew
………this is a really pointless ask to send me bcuz its trying to make it out like zolu shippers unreasonably think zoro doesnt care about ANYONE else but Luffy despite the fact he is Sword Mom of the Strawhat pirates and im p sure everyone (not just zolu fans) openly acknowledges this???
anyway the reason (if any) that so many people focus on that moment as being zoro sacrificing for Luffy alone and not just the crew as a whole is because… he… kind of is doing both without having to outright say over and over ‘this is for the whole crew’. what he DOES say over and over is ‘Luffy’
like Zoro openly acknowledges that by saving Luffy he saves the crew and thats all he can do here, but are you really arguing that fans of a pairing are given material like this and that we suck because we’re not making it about All Strawhat Crew and focusing instead on the two guys in the pairing???????
Like if anything Sanji trying to jump in and sacrifice in Zoro’s was more for openly for the Whole Crew (and even his own self) rather than just Zoro or Luffy based on how he declares himself.
like up until Sanji’s appearance panels showing the rest of the crew havent even been shown, just shots of Luffy when Zoro is talking. But do you know how many doujins and fanart and fics are centered around this moment in the ZoSan circles? a lot. bcuz its ZoSan is the largest fanbase for the OP slash, despite have WAY less material to work with that can fuel a ship.
so if youre saying ‘y do zolu fans have tunnel vision and make this more about Zoro’s devotion to Luffy rather than ~the whole crew~??’ bcuz Zoro knows Luffy is the whole crew and none of us feel the need to dismiss this INCREDIBLE moment as ‘oh i thought this was zolu but i guess he means the he wants to save the WHOLE crew, damn’. Like wtf fans would NOT focus on a moment like this to have it be about their pairing what are you even saying just let the Meatball Mom offer his life up for his Small Stretchy boyfriend jeez.
