I'm so tired of people hyper focusing on certain aspects of storytelling, insisting that a good story MUST have certain representation in order to be good. A good story is not simply a grocery list to check off. Just because the author didn't elaborate the details of the baker's wife doesn't mean they hate bakers or women, sometimes it just ain't about them and that's OK.
